"As expected, it's the Uchiha Clan," Kakashi sneered, his voice dripping with contempt as he gazed at the Uchiha member he had struck with his Chidori. The man's eyes widened in shock. "Hmph!"
What had started as a ninety percent suspicion had now solidified into absolute certainty.
"You..." the Uchiha member stammered, clearly taken aback. He hadn't anticipated Kakashi discovering their identities—especially before he had even activated his Sharingan.
Though he hadn't fully evaded Kakashi's Chidori at the critical moment, he had managed to avoid a fatal blow.
Behind Kakashi, the two other Uchiha members froze, equally stunned by this revelation.
But seeing their comrade's shoulder pierced by Kakashi's right hand, blood dripping steadily, the two Uchiha members dared not hesitate. They immediately launched another attack on Kakashi's back.
In that instant, the Sharingan in their eyes flared open as well.
One had double-tomoe Sharingan eyes, while the other possessed triple-tomoe Sharingan eyes!
*Swish! Swish!*
Neither chose ninjutsu requiring hand seals. Instead, they simultaneously hurled kunai at Kakashi's back.
The kunai moved with even greater speed than before, reaching Kakashi's back in an instant!
*Whoosh!*
Sensing the danger, Kakashi didn't immediately kill the enemy before him. Instead, he dodged with a swift movement.
*Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!*
Sure enough, the moment Kakashi evaded, four kunai pierced the ground where he had been standing.
If Kakashi had hesitated even a moment longer, he would have been in grave danger!
*Whoosh!*
As Kakashi dodged, the wounded Uchiha member immediately retreated, leaping back to his companion's side.
He clutched his bleeding right shoulder with his left hand.
"Chengfeng, are you alright?"
An Uchiha member shielded the injured comrade, asking anxiously.
Meanwhile, the other Uchiha member with triple-tomoe Sharingan eyes blocked Kakashi's escape route.
"Hmph! You think you can just leave? Hand over the left eye that doesn't belong to you first!"
With his identity exposed, the Uchiha Clan member dropped all pretense and coldly addressed Kakashi.
"Uchiha Ren! So it's you!"
Blocked from escaping, Kakashi froze for a moment. After carefully scrutinizing the newcomer's features, he spoke coldly.
Yet Kakashi's composure was far from genuine.
He knew Uchiha Ren well—an elite member of the Uchiha Clan and a squad leader in Konoha's Military Police Force. Ren's strength was formidable.
*Damn it! Even Uchiha Ren is here!* Kakashi cursed inwardly.
He was already calculating his escape routes. He could barely hold his own against Ren alone; with two more opponents, retreat was his only option.
Even if he could win, he'd inevitably suffer injuries, slowing his search for Tsunade. If he could avoid a fight, Kakashi would absolutely choose to withdraw.
"Obito gave me this Sharingan, and your clan leader has already tacitly approved it! You have no right to take it back!"
Though cursing inwardly, Kakashi continued to speak coldly to Uchiha Ren.
*Whoosh! Whoosh!*
As Kakashi finished speaking, the other two Uchiha Clan members joined the attack.
Uchiha Kazefu, clutching his injured right shoulder, glared at Kakashi with burning hatred, wishing he could kill him on the spot.
"A brat from the Hatake Clan dares to possess the Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan? Hmph!"
"How naive!"
Uchiha Ren responded coldly to Kakashi's words, showing no concern that Kakashi might escape despite being surrounded.
He wasn't worried because escape was impossible.
Confident in his position, Ren didn't rush to attack, secure in his advantage.
"Exactly! The Sharingan belongs only to the Uchiha Clan. Outsiders who covet it deserve only death!" Uchiha Kazefu echoed Ren's words, glaring at Kakashi with malice.
"Ren, let's kill him quickly and retrieve the Sharingan! We can't risk complications if we delay!"
Another Uchiha Clan member calmly suggested to Uchiha Ren, "You're right, Wakaba."
Uchiha Ren nodded in agreement, his eyes locking onto Kakashi's with a mocking glint. "Kakashi, will you return our Uchiha's Sharingan willingly, or shall we take it by force?" he taunted.
"Kill!"
The moment Uchiha Ren finished speaking, his expression shifted abruptly. Without warning, he barked the command, his Sharingan's tomoe whirling rapidly as he unleashed a genjutsu on Kakashi.
The shout was a signal for Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Wakaba to attack. The earlier question to Kakashi had been merely a ploy to lower his guard.
*Swish! Swish!*
Having fought alongside Uchiha Ren countless times, Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Wakaba moved with seamless coordination. The instant Ren's command rang out, they lunged forward, kunai flashing as they stabbed toward Kakashi.
At that moment, Kakashi saw strange vines erupt from the ground on either side of him, suddenly coiling around him.
"A genjutsu?"
"Hmph, you haven't forgotten I possess the Sharingan, have you?"
Kakashi's scornful chuckle echoed through the air.
*Whoosh!*
As soon as his words faded, Kakashi vanished, dodging the simultaneous attacks from Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Wakaba behind him.
"Sword Draw: Lightning Slash!"
Appearing instantly behind the two Uchiha, Kakashi unleashed the Hatake Clan's Three-Sword Technique.
"Damn it..."
"Damn it..."
Uchiha Kazefu and Uchiha Wakaba both gasped inwardly as Kakashi's figure vanished. They had clearly underestimated his resistance to Uchiha Ren's genjutsu.
*Slash!*
Ignoring their shock, Kakashi's Lightning Slash swept upward from behind, bisecting both Uchiha from the waist.
