**Chapter 36**
"While I'm expending Chakra, Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Yoki are constantly draining theirs too!"
"If this continues, my Chakra will indeed run out before theirs. But if I cover my Sharingan, everything changes!"
"With my Sharingan concealed, my Hatake Clan physique will allow me to conserve far more Chakra than Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Yoki while simply fleeing! If I keep running until their Chakra is exhausted, their end will come!"
Kakashi mused inwardly. Though this strategy was somewhat underhanded—relying on the Hatake Clan's unique constitution to drain the Uchiha duo's Chakra—he had no other choice.
Immediately, Kakashi used his forehead protector to cover his left eye's Sharingan. The rate at which his Chakra was being consumed plummeted instantly.
Uchiha Ren and Uchiha Yoki, who were pursuing Kakashi, naturally noticed his maneuver but dismissed it as insignificant.
They continued to pursue Kakashi, relentlessly unleashing attacks.
But now that Kakashi had regained his composure, he flawlessly evaded every strike.
The Uchiha Ren duo's attacks proved utterly ineffective.
Half an hour later, when Uchiha Ren sensed that his chakra reserves had dwindled to less than half, he immediately sensed something was amiss.
Ren's brow furrowed slightly as he glanced at Kakashi ahead. Through the Sharingan's perceptive abilities, he quickly noticed that Kakashi's chakra fluctuations hadn't diminished as drastically as theirs.
"So, covering his Sharingan was to conserve chakra?"
Only then did Ren grasp the true meaning behind Kakashi's earlier actions.
A cold smirk curled at the corner of Ren's lips. If Kakashi could deactivate his Sharingan, Ren and Yoki could take it even further.
"Yoki! Deactivate your Sharingan! That brat wants to drain our chakra? Let's drain his instead. I can't wait to see the look on his face!"
Uchiha Ren watched Kakashi's retreating figure and smirked at Uchiha Yoki.
"Hmm!"
Yoki, quick to grasp the situation, nodded in understanding. He deactivated his Sharingan, a cold, mocking smile playing on his lips as he watched Kakashi's back.
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
Ren and Yoki simply pursued Kakashi, focusing on keeping him from escaping rather than attacking. They knew that unnecessary attacks would only waste their chakra. Their plan was to force Kakashi to exhaust his own chakra.
"Heh! You've figured it out, haven't you? Trying to drain my chakra instead?" Kakashi immediately noticed their change in tactics and chuckled inwardly.
"Let's see who runs out of chakra first. Good thing no one in Konoha knows about the Hatake Clan's unique constitution—especially the Uchiha! With your Sharingan deactivated, you'll never realize my chakra consumption is even lower than yours!"
Kakashi's heart was filled with a mocking, cold smile.
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
Three figures darted through the jungle, their movements relentless.
As time passed, Kakashi's speed visibly began to slow.
Uchiha Ren and his companion, trailing behind, exchanged mocking smirks.
*Huff! Huff!*
After half an hour, even Uchiha Ren and his companion began to pant heavily. Their chakra reserves had dwindled to barely a tenth of their original levels.
Kakashi, ahead of them, appeared even more battered and exhausted.
"That brat's chakra is almost depleted. Let's finish this!" Sensing the moment was right, Uchiha Ren abruptly called out to Uchiha Yoki beside him, his voice cold and decisive.
"Understood!"
*Whoosh! Whoosh!*
Instantly, the Uchiha pair surged forward, their speed accelerating. Uchiha Ren's figure blurred past Kakashi, cutting him off.
With Uchiha Yoki flanking him from behind, they had Kakashi trapped between them.
*Huff... Huff...*
"Damn it, Uchiha Ren! You..."
"When did you close your Sharingan? You have more Chakra than me..."
Kakashi, intercepted and panting heavily, glared at Uchiha Ren with a mix of astonishment, resentment, and fury.
"Hahaha!"
Watching Kakashi's ragged, gasping state, Uchiha Ren's smugness reached its peak. He sneered coldly, "Don't think your feeble tricks will work on us anymore! Today is your day to die! You probably can't even use your Lightning Release now, can you? Out of Chakra? Hahaha!"
"You..." Kakashi sputtered, his face flushed with exhaustion and defeat.
Then, with a look of desperate reluctance, he pleaded, "I'll return the Sharingan to you! Just don't kill me! I don't want to die!"
Seeing Kakashi's desperation only fueled Uchiha Ren's satisfaction. "Fine," he said, "then gouge out your left eye right now!"
Uchiha Ren had no intention of letting Kakashi off the hook. He agreed only to savor the look of utter despair that would soon cross Kakashi's face.
Hearing this, Kakashi trembled slightly, his reluctance palpable. Yet he raised his left hand and lifted the headband that concealed his Sharingan eye.
*Boom!*
The moment Kakashi's Sharingan was revealed, an overwhelming aura erupted from his body like a long-dormant volcano, instantly striking Uchiha Ren.
"This is bad..."
In that instant, Uchiha Ren sensed imminent danger, his mind reeling. He stared at Kakashi's eye, his expression a mixture of disbelief and dread.
"Illusion Technique: Hell Viewing Technique!"
"Instant Cut: Second Stage!"
