Synopsis
(Crossover Fic) In the time before Aegon's Conquest, a certain group of Valyrians arrived to Dragonstone, seeking refuge from bloodshed in YiTi. Lord Aerion, the current Head of House Targaryen at the time decided to accept them and allowed to them to stay in Dragonstone. Among these refugees was a boy whose name was Valarr. Aerion noticed that he didn't share the YiTish traits that most of the Valyrians bore and was curious about him. Little to his knowledge, he was someone who had been reincarnated into this world bearing an interesting power. Valarr would then gain the attention of Lady Visenya, the son of Lord Aerion and the sister of the soon-to-be Conqueror. He would befriend Visenya and her siblings, as well as build a reputation for himself as a great warrior. One night, Valarr would witness a falling star in which he found a large egg inside of it. From the egg, a strange yet powerful creature hatched and from there on, the course of history would change greatly. Chapter 1 - Prologue

[Dragonstone, 17 BC]

Lord Aerion Targaryen was walking down the hallway of his castle, followed by multiple servants as he had a serious scowl on his face.

"And you said that they docked here?" He asked the castellan next to him, "Hm?"

"Yes, My Lord." the Castellan said, "Two ships that seem to hail from Essos, far east. Possibly YiTi, I am not sure I recognize the banners."

Aerion nodded as they made their way outside to the ramparts, "Very well." He said, "YiTi, you say? But why is it that they spotted Valyrians on board? I am sure House Velaryon and House Celtigar do not hail from YiTi."

"That is the most surprising thing, My Lord." The Castellan said, "But that is what was reported. They are in the fishing village, with no signs of hostility. They seek asylum, however. They claim that since you are the Dragon Lord, you have the authority to grant them refuge."

"Hm...." Aerion said as he reached the edge of the rampart, "Is that so?"

In the far distance, he spotted two ships that were not like the ones he was used to. House Targaryen and House Velaryon were in an alliance due to his marriage with Valaena Velaryon. He was used to seeing much large ships with the Velaryon sigil on them. These ships, however, were a bit smaller and thinner. They bore a banner he did not recognize but swore he had seen it before.

"Valyrians....." Aerion said, stroking his beard, "Where are the girls and Aegon?"

"They are in their chambers. It appears that Lord Aegon was playing with the Lady Rhaenys." the Castellan said

"And my wife?" He asked

"With the Lady Visenya, My Lord." the Castellan answered

"Hm." Aerion said, "Call for 15 men to escort me down to the village. Have the horns at the ready, if conflict is to arise from this, have the rest of the men come down and finish things."

He bowed down, "Yes, My Lord." He said, "I will do it at once."

Aerion nodded, "See to it."

The Castellan immediately rushed away with haste, seeing to it that his Lord's orders are carried out.

This was Dragonstone, more than a decade before the fateful Conquest of Westeros. During these days, the future KIng of Westeros was but a small boy, 10 years of age. His future wives were naught but girls as well, having known very little conflict in the matter. The one in charge of Dragonstone by then was Lord Aerion Targaryen, father of Aegon Targaryen and his sisters.

And now, he had received word that two ships from Essos, YiTi in particular, had made landfall on his island. He was also told that Valyrians were on board, which piqued his interest. He was unaware of why Valyrians would be on YiTish ships.

He was unsure of what to make of this, but he would be cautious in the interaction.

"Hm...." Aerion said,

"This best not be some sort of trap."

*************

As Lord Aerion walked down the street of the fishing village, the commoners parted ways, allowing for him to pass through with his Knights behind him.

He reached a group of what people that were wearing strange robes, clearly foreign. But the most striking feature was that some of them had the striking silver-white hair of a Valyrian, with some having purple eyes.

They had strange weapons on their sides, swords that were thinner than the Westerosi longsword and was slightly curved. Aerion saw this to be nothing but peculiar, his eyes narrowing as he stopped before them.

He looked at the group, "You speak the common tongue?" He asked, "Or should we speak in our Mother Tongue, should you be valyrian? You certainly look the type."

One of the men, who was tall and slim, stepped forward in a slow manner. He was wearing black and yellow robe, with some flower patterns on it. He was holding a sheathed sword in his hand, which he raised it to the side in a non-hostile manner.

Aerion's knights placed their hands on their swords in a cautious manner, not fully trusting of the situation.

Aerion saw that this man had long black hair with white streaks in them, his eyes were a dark shade of purple. But what was peculiar was that his face was not Valyrian, but Essosi; YiTish to be exact.

"Dragonlord, we come to you in peace." The Man slowly set the sword down in front of him as he knelt down, speaking in High-Valyrian, "We come to House Targaryen, seeking asylum."

Aerion narrowed his eyes, "Asylum? From what?"

"A deep conflict has brewed in our homeland." The man continued, "Our people were murdered and the rest of us were forced to flee. We had nobody else to turn to in Essos, but we heard about the Valyrian Houses to the West."

"So you come to me?" Aerion asked,"Who are you? Are you of Targaryen lineage? You clearly are of Valyrian blood, mixed with YiTish."

"We are Valyrian, yes. But we are not of Targaryen descent. From what I know, my people simply hail from the minor Valyrian Houses of Old Valyria." The Man said, "We are outcasts in Essos, most of us are dead."

"So you say." Aerion said, "What is your name?"

"I am Taka." The man said with a thick and heavy accent, "I hail from YiTi, My Lord."

"Taka? Not a Valyrian name?" Aerion frowned

"I was raised in a YiTish village, given that name by farmers who took me in." Taka said, "But I reunited with my people not too long ago."

Aerion placed his hand on his chin, "Give me one good reason why I should let you on my island." He said, "I don't think I can trust anyone so easily."

"We are warriors." Taka said, "Most of us, that is. It is all we know. We suffered a shameful defeat and were forced to retreat, for the sake of our loved ones. But now, we come to offer our services to you, Dragon Lord. We will not be of trouble."

"I see." Aerion said, "Hm...."

He looked at the others, seeing that while some of them were men that looked like they were weathered by battle, most of them were women and children who looked terrified. Something moved within him, as if reminded that he was a Father too.

Aerion looked at Taka, "You speak on behalf of them?"

Taka nodded, "Yes." He said, "I do."

"Very well." Aerion said, "You will reside in the fishing village then. I will ask House Velaryon to ship over materials to build homes for your people. I will grant you asylum in exchange for your services."

"You now serve House Targaryen."
