Chapter 39 - Second Darkseid

At the same time, every old god related to Earth started to show up. Sigurd, who was hidden in the shadows with Lucifer, was surprised that even Odin and Thor of this world had joined the battle.

Just as Lucifer and Sigurd were looking at them, Zeus started to feel someone was spying on them, so he focused toward the Amazon warriors.

"Who is spying on us? Come out."

The loud shout from Zeus brought everyone to the sense that there were others present besides them.

Sigurd looked at the situation. He knew they would sense their presence, so he and Lucifer appeared in front of them, removing the mirror dimension.

"Hello, everyone." Sigurd looked toward everyone, then his head turned toward the Odin of this world.

Although he knew this wasn't his brother, he could feel the connection—their divine power, which they gained from the same source.

Zeus looked toward the people appearing. He had definitely seen Lucifer in different forms, so he could still distinguish his fallen angel aura, which had its own mark. Then his head turned to the Asgardian—whose roots were of Asgard—but he couldn't determine if it was truly so.

"Lucifer, you shouldn't be here for the war."

Lucifer looked toward Zeus.

"Relax, I am not here for such a petty thing. You guys can enjoy the fight."

Zeus was angry when he heard that the war they were fighting was petty, but he still took the word of the Devil as a guarantee. After all, the Devil never lies. They had never crossed paths with each other, but they knew of each other's existence.

"Okay. What about you, Asgardian? Are you here in support, or to fight with us?" Zeus could feel the power of Sigurd, so he wanted to determine if he was an enemy.

"You can take me as a tourist. I won't interfere with the guy coming."

Odin walked toward Sigurd with confusion.

"I don't think you are from Asgards that I have known till now."

Sigurd shook his head.

"I am Sigurd Borson. You could say my world is special, from the world where I come, I am the youngest son of Bor Burison."

Hearing the words, even Zeus, who was looking toward him, was surprised.

Odin and Thor were also surprised. They had thought of him as some normal god of Asgard who gained strength through adventure.

Just as they were about to say something, a sudden noise brought them back to reality. At the same time, Lucifer and Sigurd vanished from their original position.

This time, Sigurd strengthened the mirror dimension; even Zeus and the others couldn't determine his location, but he was still nearby the Amazon warriors.

Darkseid looked toward the old gods and then back at his generals.

"Looks like all the old bones came out of their holes to face me."

As the spaceship landed, a huge army of Apokolips marched out. At the same time, Darkseid walked out of the spaceship, with a Mother Box carried by the soldiers.

Sigurd, looking at the army, knew a lot of people were going to lose their lives.

"Lucifer, your father wasn't pointing toward him, right? He looks like a threat too, but looking at him, he doesn't seem to be a multiverse-level threat."

Lucifer shook his head.

"He isn't the one. Our target will appear."

Sigurd then focused on the battle. At the same time, he used his magic to rescue all the warriors who belonged to the Earth side, but the maximum saves were from Amazons—after all, that was what he had promised Hippolyta.

Just when he thought the battle would be more brutal, Ares, son of Zeus, injured Darkseid, while the other Old Gods separated the Mother Box, which had been trying to terraform Earth.

Looking at Darkseid being carried toward the spaceship by his soldiers, everyone on Earth started to rejoice.

Darkseid left Earth. At the same time, a huge portal opened, which alerted the old gods.

Sigurd, who had been waiting for the enemy, appeared in front of the portal.

"Everyone, you should move back now. The person coming out will be my enemy."

Out of the portal, a huge figure emerged. Looking at him, Sigurd was surprised.

Zeus, who was looking at the figure, said,

"Darkseid… but looking at him, it's as if he isn't from the present time."

Sigurd heard the words and looked toward Darkseid.

"So your obsession with this planet is quite deep. Even when you gain multiverse-level strength, you still appear here."

Darkseid didn't even look toward anyone; his eyes were focused on Sigurd.

"Sigurd Borson, I didn't expect to meet you in this time period of history. So you were present when I was injured. Looks like you never really took me seriously."

Sigurd heard the long speech, but he didn't even know this person. Then he thought—since he came from the future, he might have heard of him in the future.

"So you've heard about me. I don't think you've had a battle with me."

Darkseid looked at Sigurd with confusion.

"Why do you say that I didn't have a battle with you?"

Sigurd looked toward him.

"I don't have a habit of letting the enemy live."

Darkseid shook his head.

"You do have such an image, but time has changed. I obtained something which gave me enough power to capture this planet for the Anti-Life Equation. Even if you can't do anything about it."

Sigurd shook his head, then waved his hand to cover the whole battlefield in the mirror dimension. At the same time, he punched Darkseid with huge cosmic energy.

Darkseid, who was brought into the mirror dimension, couldn't even react. At the same time, he sensed a punch coming toward him, so he blocked the cosmic force.

"Looks like I am going to enjoy the battle."

Sigurd looked toward Darkseid with huge anticipation. After all, the person present in front of him also had strength near the peak of multiverse level.

Looks like I will enjoy the fight. After all, finding this level of enemy is very difficult in itself.

Then he looked toward Darkseid.

"Don't disappoint me, Darkseid. If I enjoy the battle, I might give you less painful death."
