Chapter 25 - The Five-Headed Punch

Hino Country Coastline

Threat Level: God

The sky was screaming.

Five massive dragon heads blocked out the sun. Each one was the size of a mountain.

Fire Head spewed lava.

Ice Head breathed blizzards.

Wind Head created tornadoes.

Earth Head shook the tectonic plates.

Void Head (the central one) just stared, dripping pure magical decay that ate light.

The citizens of Hino fled in terror. The Ryuzen Seven stood on the shore, preparing their Ki, but they were shaking. This was the calamity that killed gods.

"It's huge," Asta yelled, looking up with wide eyes. "Even in Devil Union, that thing is massive!"

"It regenerates instantly," Ryuya reminded them, calm but serious, standing on a hill with Yami. "To kill it, all five heads must be severed simultaneously. Or obliterated past the point of cellular recall."

Saitama stood on the sandy beach. The waves lapped at his red boots.

"Simultaneously?" Saitama stretched his arms. "Genos. Can you handle the left side?"

"Affirmative, Master."

Genos stepped forward. He activated his ultimate mode.

"Witch-Tech Art: Ten-Tails Configuration!"

Metal cables (salvaged from the Spade Kingdom dungeon and fused with heart runes) burst from his back. They spread out like wings—or tails. Each cable tip glowed with a different mana type.

"Output set to Maximum. Warning: Cooling systems will fail in 3 minutes."

"Three minutes is plenty," Saitama said.

He looked at the dragon. The central Void Head roared at him.

"GRAAAOOOOOOH!" (Translation: I am the End.)

"You're loud," Saitama mumbled. "I just ate lunch."

Saitama bent his knees.

CRACK.

The beach exploded. A crater appeared where he stood. He was gone.

Saitama appeared in the air, level with the dragon's heads.

"Serious Series."

The Clash

The Left Side:

The Fire and Wind Heads attacked Genos.

"Inferno Breath!" "Cyclone Bite!"

Genos didn't dodge.

"Machine Magic: Absolute Zero Barrage!"

His cables fired blue beams of condensed Witch-Ice Mana.

FWOOM.

The beams hit the Fire Head's throat. The lava froze instantly, turning the head into a statue. The Wind Head tried to blow him away, but Genos anchored himself with gravity runes.

"Target Locked," Genos aimed his chest cannon. "Core Blast: Hellfire Spiral!"

He vaporized the Wind Head's neck.

The Center:

Saitama hovered in front of the Earth, Ice, and Void Heads.

They bit him. All three at once.

CHOMP.

Saitama was engulfed in three maws of god-killing teeth.

Yami winced. "Baldy just got eaten."

"No," Ichika whispered, eyes wide. "Look."

Inside the mouths... light.

"Serious Move."

The voice came from inside the dragon throats.

"Omni-Directional Serious Punches."

It wasn't one punch. It was hundreds. Saitama punched in every direction at once while inside the dragon pile-up.

BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM-BAM.

The Dragon Heads didn't just explode outward; they ballooned. The shockwaves of the punches stretched their skin until they popped like overfilled water balloons.

The Ice Head shattered into snow.

The Earth Head crumbled into dust.

The Void Head—the immortal core—shrieked.

Saitama burst out of the carnage, covered in dragon goo.

"You regenerate?" Saitama landed on the Void Head's neck stump. "Let's test that."

The neck tried to grow back. Flesh knit together.

Saitama punched the growing flesh.

It vaporized.

He punched again.

And again.

And again.

He was beating the regeneration factor. He was punching faster than biology could exist.

"STOP GROWING BACK!" Saitama shouted. "CONSECUTIVE NORMAL PUNCHES!"

DADADADADADADADA.

The dragon's massive body began to dissolve from the neck down. The shockwaves traveled through its torso, liquefying its organs, blowing out its back, and creating a trench in the ocean floor behind it.

The entire 10,000-ton beast was erased in under four seconds.

Nothing remained but steam and a few scales floating on the waves.

The Rift

Saitama floated down, landing on a piece of driftwood.

"Done," he wiped his face.

But it wasn't just done.

The destruction of the Dragon—the "Anchor" of the dimension—triggered the rift Ryuya predicted.

A crack appeared in the sky.

It looked exactly like the one Lucifero opened. Static. Glitchy.

"Master!" Genos flew down, steaming but victorious. "Dimensional anomaly detected! It is the path home!"

Saitama looked up. Through the crack, he could see... a city? A generic anime city. City Z. He saw a 'SALE' sign.

"Home," Saitama smiled.

He turned to the beach where Yami, Asta, and the others stood.

"Well," Saitama yelled over the roaring rift. "Guess this is it."

Asta ran to the edge of the water.

"MASTER SAITAMA! WAIT!"

Asta had tears in his eyes.

"You taught me that muscles beat magic! You taught me to never give up on squats! I will never forget you!"

"I taught you to rest, kid," Saitama shouted back. "Don't burn out."

Yami walked up. He took a drag of his cigarette. He threw something.

His katana.

Saitama caught it.

"Keep it," Yami grinned. "Consider it a tip for saving my life. And for the entertainment."

Saitama looked at the rusty, heavy blade.

"Thanks, Landlord."

Saitama tied the sword to his belt one last time.

"Genos. Let's go."

Genos saluted the Clover Kingdom mages. "You are adequate allies. Do not die. Goodbye."

Genos engaged thrusters. He grabbed Saitama. They flew toward the crack in the sky.

Ichika Yami watched them go.

"He... he truly was strong," she whispered.

As they reached the rift, Saitama looked back one last time. He saw the weird world of wizards, devils, and talking birds.

"Not a bad vacation," Saitama thought.

They flew into the light.

ZAP.

The rift snapped shut.

The sky returned to normal blue. The Dragon was gone. The Heroes were gone.

Asta wiped his eyes. He clenched his fist.

"I'm gonna be the Wizard King," Asta declared to the ocean. "And one day... I'll punch the sky too."

Epilogue 1: City Z - The Supermarket

World: One Punch Man

Beep.

Saitama stood at the checkout counter.

He was wearing a blue blanket-cape (Heart Kingdom style), a beat-up yellow suit, and a rusty black katana. He looked homeless.

"That'll be 400 yen," the cashier said, eyeing the sword nervously.

Saitama reached into his pocket. He pulled out a coin.

It wasn't a Yen. It was a Clover Kingdom Gold Yul. Solid gold.

"Do you accept... foreign currency?" Saitama asked.

The cashier stared at the gold coin worth probably 50,000 yen.

"Uh... the machine doesn't take that, sir."

Saitama's face fell.

"My eggs," he whispered.

Genos walked in. He was wearing his hoodie, but under it, his new bulkier chassis with glowing runes hummed.

"Master! I have successfully sold the gold bullion we acquired!" Genos held up a briefcase of Yen. "We are wealthy!"

Saitama's eyes turned into sparklers.

"Beef!" Saitama yelled. "High grade beef! Genos! Get a cart!"

As they shopped, a news report played on the TV in the store.

"Breaking News: A monster appearing to be a 'Tree Devil' has been sighted in City Q. Heroes are struggling..."

Saitama didn't look up. He was inspecting a daikon radish.

"Should we handle that, Master?" Genos asked.

Saitama tossed the radish in the cart.

"After dinner. I'm making stew."

Epilogue 2: The Clover Kingdom - 1 Year Later

The reconstruction was finished.

In the center of the capital, a new statue was unveiled.

It wasn't Julius. It wasn't the first Wizard King.

It was a statue of a bald man holding a grocery bag, punching the sky.

Beneath it, a plaque read:

THE HERO FOR FUN

He broke the silence. He broke the devils. He broke the logic.

Asta stood in front of the statue, wearing the Wizard King's robe (okay, maybe just a captain's robe for now).

"See ya, Saitama," Asta grinned. He dropped to the ground.

"ONE HUNDRED PUSHUPS!"

Around the corner, Yami sat on a brand new toilet. He smiled.

"Peace and quiet," Yami whispered. "Finally."

Somewhere in the universe, the timelines drifted apart. But the punch echoed forever.
