Chapter 39 - Silvertia Flame Coven (1)

~The realm of witches~

"Easy there, Kitten." Eiravyn's voice came from her side.

"We have arrived safely. There's no need to worry now, open your eyes."

Serena blinked slowly to see a starry sky above her head and the sun bathing her in its ever glowing light.

She craned her neck to see smooth round tall rocks arranged in a S-shaped formation infront of her, then beside the S-shape formation of rocks, she saw the same tall rocks arranged but this time the formation looked like I-shape.

And when she looked further she saw an opening to a sparse forest right in front of her, but this time compare to the forest they had earlier passed to get here, this one looked beautiful, and otherworldly with colorful flowers and butterflies flying around the flowers. The leaves and trees around was well kept and maintained, making the forest glow with a surreal light.

'They seem to maintain this place.' Serena thought to herself.

She was standing on the grass, and the air was fresh, suggesting that it was morning.

Eiravyn was standing at her side, his hands connecting behind Serena's back supporting her movement and watching her every reaction.

She could not see Caspian,

"What happened?" Serena finally asked Eiravyn,

"Are you asking about my right hand man?" Eiravyn asked her in return,

Serena quickly shake her head, "no, no, not him. Why is it suddenly day? Was I unconscious?"

"Slow down now, kitten, you were not out. As we just arrived at the witch coven." Eiravyn said, while rubbing Serena's shoulder gently to make her calm down.

"Then, why is it this bright? It supposed to be night not morning." Serena was so confused, what was happening in this kingdom?

'Just a few minutes ago, it was night but all of a sudden it's day. Serena felt panic swell inside her.

"Calm down kitten, the flow of time in the witch kingdom and that of the human realm is different my sweet girl, fret not as we are in the right place."

Serena was suddenly amused, ' they had time difference here too? It was almost like you are traveling to another country.' Serena muttered in her head, as she thought that it was interesting.

"Don't worry I will soon explain to you the flow of time here and the difference in the human realm." Eiravyn assured her.

"Where is the portal now?" Serena asked, her eyes glowing with a wayward light, as she glanced back, eager to see how it would look like now.

"It's no more here kitten, it has long disappear, let's head inside."

Serena pouted her lips, she had really wanted to see the portal again, but when she heard Eiravyn say they could go inside. She was back to been excited.

Eiravyn merely shake his head at his bold and courageous mate, she was really something, he thought.

"But where is Caspian?" Serena asked as they walk further into the sparse forest.

Eiravyn gaze hardened as he stared at his mate for a long time, she seemed to be comfortable mentioning Caspian name, but has never called him by his name only at that time in the car. He wanted her to only say his name.

Eiravyn was possessed by a feeling of possessiveness, making him snake his arms around Serena's slender waist just to pull her closer to himself,

"Little kitten, you are only allowed to say my name and only worry about me, is that clear?" He whispered close to her ears in a feral growl.

Serena was caught off guard by his behavior but she nodded her head absentmindedly.

"I need your words, kitten."

"Yes, Mr. Wo…"

Eiravyn growled low his gaze fixed at her lips, "what did I say about calling me by that name, call me by my name."

"Yes, Mr…Hmm, I mean, yes, Eiravyn." Serena finally said hesitately as she felt Eiravyn's gaze narrow at her, she was quick to correct herself.

"Good."he said, before they continued their walk.

When they walk to a great distance, Serena could hear faint rustling in the bush that was probably a rabbit or some other bush animals, but other than that the whole area seemed deserted.

Serena wanted to ask when they would reach the kingdom but she kept silent and followed Eiravyn quietly, as far as her eyes could reach, other than bushes and sparse trees there was nothing else here. This fact puzzled Serena.

After some time, Serena finally saw a river, and a small waterfall stream, she gasp.

The sight was really otherworldly as the water was clear water and looked like a fountain.

She could hear children singing and playing in the distant, accompanied with chants coming from her right side.

Serena quickly walked forward, as Eiravyn had released her when they got close to the entrance of the witch realm. He knew she would be eager to see the place, so he let her.

The view that grace Serena's eyes when she reached the entrance left her breathless, she stared with her eyes wide opened afraid to even blink for fear of missing any details, this was a far cry from what was recorded in those fantasy books she read in the human realm.

She turned to Eiravyn, her eyes glittering like a child that was just rewarded their most precious gift.

"This is beautiful." Serena whispered to him, with her eyes closed as she breathed in the air, and the beautiful atmosphere that almost feel like she had stepped into a fairy tale.

It felt so surreal and ethereal that she could not believe she was seeing it in person.

In front of her was a huge village with different hut in different section of the village, at the middle of the village was a huge fountain, at the bottom of the fountain was a cemented stone- boldly written "Silvertia Flame Fountain", water stream from the outstretched hands of a statue, depicting a witch gazing up at the sky.

She saw children dancing round the fountain, singing and chanting spells, it looked like a ritual and it felt like she was interrupting something, so she quickly moved her gaze and looked elsewhere.

Serena eyes widened when she realized how much flesh the women she saw exposed, each of the women had a loose string of clothes tied around their waist with tiny ropes and small patches dangling from the string down to their thigh area barely enough to cover their buttocks.

She saw that they each wore black pants to hide their intimate parts. But their breast were bare, and fully exposed even bouncing as they go on with their daily activities.

She had noticed the same with the children but since they were kids, she did not pay close attention, but seeing the same attire on fully developed women was overwhelming.

The earlier warning from Eiravyn did not prepare her enough for this,

Serena was astonished, how can they be comfortable with their nakedness being this exposed, She thought as she watched the nonchalant women.

This was indeed a far cry from what the stories tell her in those fantasy books she read, they claimed that witches only wear long black gowns with pointed hats and that they walk around with their brooms.

But this… Serena was speechless.
