With that Eiravyn turned Serena to face him, "little kitten, go with her for now, I will be with you shortly okay?"
Serena nodded, even when Eiravyn said this words he was still holding her hands firmly, not wanting to let her go as he enjoyed holding her hands like this.
She turned to him while trying to pry her hands free, as the people were looking at them now. She felt embarrassed.
Eiravyn, let go…" Serena pleaded, to say she was embarrassed was an understatement.
Eiravyn sighed reluctantly before finally letting her go, but not without pulling the girl closer to himself and whispering in her ear for only her to hear.
"Kitten, I know you think the witches are friendly people but always put to mind that they are witches for a reason and they can be very tricky. So beware." Eiravyn adviced her seriously before pulling away from her.
Eiravyn then faced Queen Eleanora, "let's go." With that Caspian and Eiravyn together with the queen left the place leaving Serena with the high priestess, who'd barely said a word since the whole conversation.
"Hello Serena, I'm Luna, the high priestess."
"Hi" Serena said apprehensively, and Luna wave for her to follow her.
"Come on, let me take you to your room, I believe you must be famished by now."
Serena observed the path to her room, as she looked at the many houses around the witch village. The walk through the village was accompanied with silent whispers from the witches around them.
The witches were observing her and spoke in whispers.
Serena did not hear their whispers when she was with Eiravyn but now they were speaking loudly, it seems they had been scared to speak in front of Eiravyn and now that he was no longer here, they felt they could speak freely.
The houses in the witch realm looked like those houses in ancient years, they were built with concrete walls but they appeared dull and simple like the builders did not have time to design the building.
They finally stopped at a building that looked close to a mini mansion, this house had garden at the front yard, and it looked different from the rest of the commoner's house.
"This way…" Luna called and stepped inside the house as she pushed what looked like a rock that shimmered with a faint light, before Serena knew it Luna's form disappeared inside.
Serena reluctantly extend her hands to the rock, as she reached for the rock that seems to be the door handle, when she moved to touch the rock, it's palpate in her hands, she felt a shivering feeling as she finally pushed at the rock the way Luna had done and before she knew it she saw herself in a room.
She turned to see herself in a sitting area with two chairs. Serena saw that the house was not as simple as the way the outside of the house portrayed it to be.
The room was humongous, and it was the size of her lounge back at home.
'If the guest room was as big as this, how will the queen resident look like.' Serena muttered to herself completely stunned by the appearance of the room.
Serena paused at one corner of the room at the intricate carvings on the wall that was bathed in a warm white light of an unknown source. It was like the wall was a source of light for the room, it looked almost ethereal.
Serena was still examining the room, when Luna materialized in what looked like a dressing room, she turned to that room as she did not realized that the room was there in the first place.
"I'm pretty sure you must be tired and need to freshen up, come in here." Luna ushered Serena to the dressing room.
She turned to look at the room, and to her greatest surprise, the shelves for clothes was already filled to the brim with clothes for both male and female, not just any dress but dress worthy of being a ball gown.
Serena walked over to one of the gown that seemed to glitter and shimmer with a warm yellow light, as if the clothes was bathed in the light. When Serena touched the dress, she was surprise to see that her fingers sink through the clothes like it was not there.
Serena tried again perplexed, it was still the same result, she tried again, and then again but got the same result, she felt frustrated.
'Why could she not touch the gown.' Serena said to herself when she felt a soft breath behind her.
"Gat yah…" Luna whispered shout in Serena's ear causing Serena to jump in fright, when did she get so close to her?
"Why can't I reach the clothes?" Serena asked the witch as she felt that it did not make any sense, why put it here, if it couldn't be used. That ridiculous!
Luna suddenly started laughing. the sound came out strange to Serena's hearing,
"It's an illusion," she finally said after laughing her head off, she sighed dramatically, wiping at invisible tears.
"What do you mean it's an illusion, if it an illusion then, why is it here?" Serena asked, as she tried to understand this strange lady.
"Chill okay? It just a little prank…" Luna said with an eye roll,
"I can't just believe that King Eiravyn finally found his mate, and it's you, isn't that awesome." The lady started chatting away, after giving Serena the fright of her life.
Serena stared at her, wondering if she is all right or if this is just how all witches behave.'this is surely amusing' she said in her head.
When Luna saw that the human girl was just staring at her like she was crazy, she finally calm down. "Okay, okay, no need to stare at me like I have gone crazy… I will tell you the truth." Luna finally said with a twist of her mouth.
"Well… everything in here is an illusion my dear, we witches don't need all this things to survive, so, I just cast a few spells from your imagination to create this room for you… hehehe."
Serena looked around the whole place, it was almost like she had finally realized that she was now in the witch territory.
'This room was created from her imaginations,'Serena was deep in shock, when she finally realized something.
"If all this clothes is an illusion and the room. Then, how will I change into another clothes, or do I have to wear what you guys are wearing?"
"What! Do you want King Eiravyn to have my neck?" Luna said stiffly.
"Hold on a minute."
After a brief pause, Serena saw Luna whispering something under her breath and in the next minute a black pants and a top appeared in her hands, she held it to Serena.
"You can change into this." Luna finally said as she smiled sweetly at Serena.
"Are you sure this isn't an illusion too?" Serena could not help but ask after all the lady had just tricked her few minutes ago.
"Oh, don't worry, this one is real, I just created something with what you are currently wearing as I thought you will feel more comfortable in it."
"Do you mind me asking?" Luna suddenly asked when Serena collected the clothes from her.
Serena perked up. Eager to know what the witch wanted to say.
"Are you really human?" Luna asked her seriously.
At the question Serena almost choked on her own saliva. Never in her wildest dreams did she think someone will ever question her origin.
"Yes duhh… why do you ask?"
"Hmmm… I was just curious to know if there have been a mix up because Caspian had told us you are a human, but looking at you now… Sigh…Never mind I said anything."
This caught Serena off guard because she did not know what to think of this. As far as she knew her parents were both humans, and her grandparents was also human. So, she just laugh it off.
"It must be because I had not taken my bathe yet, you must be mistaken." Serena said,
Luna shrugged her shoulder at Serena's reply. "There will be a bonfire tonight, to celebrate King Eiravyn finding his mate. As it is a very shocking and happy occasion expect to be thrilled by the witches. And as expected, you're expected to be there."
Before she left the place, she turned to Serena, "your food will be brought to you soon, once again you are welcome to the witch coven." Luna said as she smiled at Serena.
"Wait… before you go, can I ask you a question?" Serena called to her hesitately, when she saw her nod her head. Serena finally asked.
"Do you know the relationship between King Eiravyn and this kingdom?" Serena thought it would be safe to address him as a king, since everyone here was calling him by his title, she did not want to sound disrespectful.
Luna stared at Serena for a long time before she opened her mouth, "I don't know how much I should reveal to you, but all I can say is that King Eiravyn is the son to the late queen of this kingdom. If you want to know more I think you should ask King Eiravyn yourself." With that said, she left the place leaving Serena astonished.
Serena watch the woman leave. No wonder he seemed connected to the place, with the witches treating him with absolute respect, she thought to herself.
'When he gets back I would ask him about this." Serena muttered before she turn to enter the bathroom.
