Eiravyn walked through a path leading to a secluded area in the witch kingdom with Queen Eleanora and Caspian trailing behind him. He could hear the birds crying in the far distance as the mood and vibe of this place were creepy and eerie compare to the earlier scenario of the village, even though they were within the witch territory.
He walked a great distance before eventually stopping at a huge wall that was adorned with flowers. The wall looked pretty as it was decorated with flowers of different kind, making it look ethereal.
Then, Eiravyn suddenly pushed the decorated wall, his hands sinking through the wall as it looked like the wall was just a mere illusion and was not there in the first place.
Within seconds he disappeared through the wall. The queen and Caspian following behind him as they did the same thing that Eiravyn did and they too disappeard behind the wall.
They entered a hallway with intricate patterns drawn on the walls and the ceiling casted a warm yellow light making it easy to look around the hall.
After several twists and turns, the right side of the hallway opened to reveal a bright colorful garden that looked mystical under the shadows the light created.
Eiravyn entered the garden while he continued his journey, he turn to finally address Queen Eleanora,
"Any news on my missing parents' whereabout?" Eiravyn's cold voice echoe through the quiet garden.
"My tracing spell hints that they were in an unknown spot two months ago." Eleanora stated.
"And?" Eiravyn queried tilting his head to the side.
"So, I sent my military men along with some witches to check the spot, but they came back empty-handed, saying that when they got there, they could no longer feel their presence - almost like they'd vanished into thin air."
Eiravyn stopped walking instantly, making Caspian and Queen Eleanora pause behind him,
"What did I say you should do when your tracing spell finds a clue?" Eiravyn asked, his voice dropping to an octave colder, his tone and aura blazing violently that everyone in the room almost felt suffocated.
"I- I know… y-you said to report to you but I thought that would take too long. By the time we got to the vampire kingdom to inform you, I thought they might've left the place." Eleanora stuttered her response.
Even though she is more than a century older than him,she still felt scared of him because of the power Eiravyn possessed - an unholy power that even she, the great queen of the witches, could not fathom the extent of his power.
Eiravyn's eyes narrowed on the woman as he was about to delve into her mind to find out if she was telling the truth, he heard a familiar voice.
"Ravyn, my dear is that you?" The voice came from one of the room in that hallway, forcing Eiravyn to stop what he was doing, he finally resumed his walk.
Queen Eleanora released a shaky breath feeling grateful.
"We are not done here, Eleanora." Eiravyn whispered, for only her to hear, before he left the place, leaving Caspian and the witch queen in the hallway.
He entered the room where the voice came from, his gaze hardened as he observed the big room with stone walls that looked like a study. There were bookshelves filled to the brim with books and spell, a few figurine of a witch were hung on one side of the wall, and a tapestry was hung beside the figurine.
The ceiling of the room glowed in the same warm yellow light as in the hallways but it looked darker in here.
In the center of the room, there were four chairs set facing a big desk made of shining woods, and there was a small, elderly woman with long silver hair behind it.
The woman appeared to be in her late fifties, the sharpness in her eyes seemed to have dulled, either from years of living on this planet or she simply did'nt have the will to live anymore.
Her body still looked slender, just like those witches that were dancing round the water fountain.
The woman in question was no other than Eiravyn's maternal grandmother, Morgana the former high priestess of the Silvertia Flame Coven.
Eiravyn moved to sit on one of the chairs facing his grandmother.
"It's I, Eiravyn, grandmama." He muttered, his earlier cold voice had long softened at the sight of his grandmother.
Morgana's eyes softened as she stretched her hands to touch Eiravyn's cheek lovingly,
"Oh, my sweet boy, how have you been doing?"
"I'm fine grandmama."
Morgana nodded her head, "any news on your mother, my child?"
Eiravyn hesitated before finally opening up,
"Not yet."
Morgana's gaze that was sweet and kind instantly hardened within seconds as she pushed Eiravyn away from her.
"Then, what are you doing here?" The woman's earlier sweetness forgotten completely, as she looked at Eiravyn with so much hatred and anger in her eyes.
"Grandmama, I promise I'll find her, just give me a few time." Eiravyn said between clenched teeth.
"I don't want to ever see you here! not until you find my child for me." Morgana yelled angrily at him, when all of a sudden her tone turned emotional,
"I told her…" she trailed off, "I warned her, I warned her never to get married to a vampire, that all they ever do is to use us witches, but she never listened."Morgana whispered almost close to tears.
Eiravyn crouched down to her level, "I will find her, I promise you."
"Get away from me you vampire, you might have the blood of a witch running through your veins, but you are more of a vampire than a witch."
The woman mood and personality seemed to change with every moment as she looked unstable.
"Get out of here now, only come back when you find my daughter for me." Morgana suddenly screamed causing the books that was on the shelve and the glass around to shatter on the ground creating a loud shattering sound.
He had no choice but to leave the place, as he went out, he saw Caspian and Queen Eleanora waiting for him at the corner of the hallway.
"How is she now?" Caspian asked worriedly, he knows how much the elderly woman means to Eiravyn as she was the only surviving relative of his king right now.
"Still the same, she is still unstable." Eiravyn muttered deep in thoughts,
He turned to look at Queen Eleanora,
"Does she ever come out of that room?" Eiravyn asked the woman.
"She does not, but there's a witch here that she is quite fond of; she calls her her child."
"Who is that?"
"My daughter, King Eiravyn." The woman responded.
At her response Eiravyn stared coldly at the calculating woman, he knows what she was trying to do, but he was not interested.
She was in fact once the high priestess of the witch coven when his mother was the queen, but when Eiravyn mother got married to a vampire king, she was made the queen of Silvertia Flame Coven.
Queen Eleanora turned serious, "King Eiravyn, I noticed something strange about your mate. she does not smell like a human. I don't know what it is yet, but if you can just let me check…"
Eiravyn cut through her sentence harshly,
"Forget it, I will have her check in my kingdom." There was a slight warning in Eiravyn's voice and a threat in his eyes as he glared at the witch queen.
He was already aware that there was something special about Serena, as humans don't usually feel the pull of the mate bond — but she had felt it, he had his doubts but letting a witch check his mate was something he would never do.
As Eiravyn knew she can be tricky, after all she was a witch.
He stared at the woman for a while, "where do you say you found a trace of my parents again?"
"Their last trace was the territory of the werewolf pack, but when my military men got there, they were no longer there. It was almost like they didn't want to be found.
Eiravyn suddenly walked to the woman and held her by her shoulder making her yelp in pain, his gaze fixed on her sharply.
"Heed my words, the next time you catch a glimpse of them, you must report to me immediately before doing anything, is that clear?"
Queen Eleanora nodded her head obediently as if she had been hypnotized.
Eiravyn left the place soon after, as he wonders what his mate was doing.
