fter entering the realm of the immortals, the great Lù Wáng, the Demon Lord, showed no mercy to anyone. He slaughtered the great, the powerful, the weak, and even newborn babies.
Despite his ruthlessness, he possessed stunning beauty. His ice-like almond eyes would freeze the blood in one's veins. His slender, snow-like face made him resemble fairies.
Yet, black veins starting from his chest and extending to the middle of his cheeks made his delicate face appear all the more merciless.
Now, he stood on the highest point of the Tao Tower.
With eyes devoid of kindness or sympathy, he gazed upon the tragic and deadly scene he himself had caused. His messy white hair danced in the air.
His long black robe with streaks of red created a strange contrast in his appearance.
A sword was aimed at him from behind. Lù Wáng, subtly dodged, cleverly avoiding the strike, and flew to another point on the tower.
His attacker was Lan Sizhui, the Lord of the Immortals. He stood opposite Lù Wáng, his face flushed and burning with vengeance.
"Lù Wáng, no matter what happens today, I will surely kill you."
He merely uttered a few words, showing no reaction:
"Good, try your best."

Wow, what an awesome scene!
I'd been waiting for the battle between these two since the novel began. They only had three epic fights throughout the entire story. They are, after all, the lords of two massive factions.
With sleepy eyes, I leaned in to read the rest, when my phone rang. I was half-asleep on the bed and my phone was two meters away.
I dragged myself towards my mobile and suddenly tumbled headfirst off the bed.
"May God smite the person who called me!"
I answered the phone with a joke:
"The requested subscriber is switched off. Please call again later."
The person on the other end chuckled and said, "What's wrong? You're already sluggish, and it's not even noon."
"Stop the nonsense. Get to the point."
"We decided to go out today with the guys. You in?"
"No, I want to finish my novel."
I could hear his frustration. "Ugh, Mo Zhan, Mo Zhan. Can't you just leave those books alone for one day?"
I yawned and, as I lay back down on my bed, I replied, "Today? Absolutely not. I just got to the hottest, and sadly, most tragic scenes."
"Please! Just today, it's the weekend."
"Yeah, well, that's exactly why I can comfortably read the book all the way through."
And without paying attention to his grumbling, I hung up.
I brought the book close to my eyes because my vision had blurred.
I hadn't slept a wink since last night, and it was now nine in the morning.
My eyelids were heavy; no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't keep them open. I finally surrendered. My hands went slack, the book fell onto my face, and I drifted off to sleep.
A sudden feeling of extreme cold and wetness jolted me awake. I rubbed my eyes with trembling hands.

"Ugh, why did the temperature suddenly drop? And why do I feel completely soaked?"
As I analyzed my surroundings, I realized I wasn't on my soft, fluffy bed.
"Wow, it's cold... Wait,What am I doing in the water?
Shocked, I scrambled out of a large pool whose water shimmered like the moon.
I stared around. I seemed to be in a cave. Everything was pitch black, except for the area around the pool, which was surrounded by glowing blue stones, making it as bright as day.
I stared fearfully into the dark spots until I saw my naked reflection on the stones, and I could have melted with embarrassment. I had no clothes on.
I searched for something to wear until I came across a long black robe with red streaks around it. I looked at it with a disgusted face; I absolutely hate long robes.
The moment I touched it, to my surprise, the robe automatically slipped onto me. It felt like magic.
"What happened? The clothes moved? Where am I anyway?"
A voice from behind me made me shudder with fear.
"Mr. Mo Zhan, welcome to the new world."
I slowly turned towards the sound, and if I wasn't mistaken, the book was floating right in the air.
"Did that voice come from you?"
"Yes."
"Oh, how can a book talk... Ah, I must be dreaming again."
"No, you are fully awake. Allow me to explain. My name is 'I Will Always Remain a Demon'."
I said, bewildered, "Oh, aren't you the book I was reading?"
"Exactly, the very same."
"Well, then, I am dreaming."
"That is not the case. You have transmigrated into the body of one of the characters inside this book to carry out a mission."
I stuttered: "Mission... Transmigration... I don't understand what you're saying."
"Your destiny is decreed to change the fate of the main character of this novel, namely, Lù Wáng, the Demon Lord."
Hearing Lù Wáng's name made my hair stand on end.
"I... How can I change his fate?"
"Prevent his merciless decisions."
I let out a bewildered laugh: "Hey, if I really transmigrated into this book, I'll die before I get within a kilometer of him."
"That will never happen, because you are already in his body."
Hearing this, my legs gave out, and I fell onto the cold flagstone floor: "Why this character, of all people?"
"Remember that you will remain here until your mission is complete. And if you don't want to stay here, play your role well."
"Fine, now give me a hint or something. Where do I start? Where am I? How do I get out of here?"
Instantly, a glowing yellow pouch materialized in front of me.
"Take this pouch and never lose it."
"What's it for?"
"Whenever there is an instruction, it will be communicated to you through this."
I took the pouch and pleaded: "I am absolutely not suitable for this job. Besides, I don't remember anything about the novel."
"You are in now. You cannot leave until you finish the mission. Your life in this world begins now."
What did it say? It's lost its mind. I've been telling it for an hour that I can't do this.
"Hey, are you deaf? You're not listening to my—"
My words were cut short as the Book Spirit vanished.
I shouted, my voice echoing: "Fine, fine! You wanted me here. If I don't screw up this novel, then I'm not Mo zhan. "
The idiot didn't even show me the way out. I grabbed one of the glowing stones to light my path and walked forward aimlessly.
