Liam's POV
Violence wasn't something I preferred, especially not with Vivian watching.
But my brother possessed this irritating talent for driving me beyond my limits. Making me do things I'd rather avoid. Like shattering his already mangled nose for what had to be the third time in recent years.
The impact barely registered with me. It never did. But watching Wade's head whip sideways before his body crumpled to the floor, too intoxicated to even attempt standing, the way he swore viciously while curling into himself and clutching his bleeding nose, that told me everything.
"Keep your mouth shut, Wade," I growled. His only response was a pained groan.
Among all the complications currently plaguing my existence, my brother ranked dead last on the list of people I wanted to encounter. We maintained no real relationship, yet periodically he'd materialize just to irritate me or attempt worming his way back into my world using our mother as leverage.
