The tension between Liam and his brother left me with more questions than answers. Their interaction had been anything but warm, and the way Liam's fist had connected with Wade's jaw told me everything I needed to know about their family dynamics.
What bothered me most was something Wade had said before leaving.
'Mother's going to absolutely adore this.'
His tone had dripped with sarcasm, making me wonder if the opposite was true. Maybe their mother wouldn't be thrilled about Liam's sudden marriage at all.
The realization hit me that Liam probably hadn't informed his family about our weekend wedding. Being a prominent businessman, news of his marriage would eventually surface. The fact that he'd kept his family in the dark suggested they had no idea this was merely a business arrangement.
Which explained why he wanted me sharing his bedroom.
Not that I minded the arrangement.
