Dahlia's POV
Lorena's voice practically exploded through my phone speaker. "Are you serious right now? Soren just dropped you off at home like some teenage boy after prom? What is wrong with him? Is he even functional as a man?"
I winced at her bluntness, my fingers automatically moving to rub my temples. The image of Soren's devastatingly handsome face flashed through my mind, and I couldn't suppress the frustrated sigh that escaped my lips.
A man like Soren commanded respect and fear in equal measure across the city. His reputation preceded him everywhere he went. The idea that someone of his caliber would have trouble attracting women seemed absolutely ridiculous.
Which left me with only two logical explanations for his apparent lack of romantic entanglements: either he had some kind of physical limitation, or his interests lay elsewhere entirely.
