Dahlia's POV
Cobb raised an eyebrow, that familiar cold smile spreading across his face like poison. His fingers, frigid as winter, brushed against my mouth with deliberate slowness. The mockery in his voice was unmistakable.
"Getting tired of playing hard to get? Is that what this is about?" His breath was warm against my skin as he moved closer. "You're practically begging me to make a move on you now."
Every word dripped with condescension. I couldn't stand another second of his arrogance.
My injured hand shot up, pushing against his chest with whatever strength I had left. This man was nothing more than garbage wrapped in expensive fabric. Lorena had been right all along when she called him a bastard. In fact, she'd been too kind.
"Don't you dare touch me, Cobb." My voice cut through the air like a blade. "Soren will make you pay if you so much as breathe on me wrong."
