Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Confirmation

The scientist Frost Demon didn't want to anger King Frost. Even if he was on borrowed time, he didn't want to die by his hands. Doing as commanded, a faint hiss followed, allowing him to grab the capsule. It was large, but he carried it out effortlessly. Most Frost Demons were strong. Even out of the entire galaxy, their Battle Power ranged anywhere from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. Boreas was the culmination of that for the Frost Clan, and Frieza for the Cold Force. Five-hundred thousand, and Five-hundred and thirty-thousand, respectively.

And while the Cold Force enjoyed creating transformations to dampen or strengthen their Battle Power even more, the Frost Clan gained strength quite differently. Through difficult, arduous training. They would take to outer space, and condition their bodies in zero gravity. And sometimes, the Frost Clan would venture out to planets that had more intense gravity than their own, to further strengthen their Battle Power. Very similarly to how Goku and Vegeta train in Gravity Chambers, or the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

It is as King Frost mentioned, transformations take time, and energy. If a Frost Demon could wield all of that strength without that requirement, then what's the point?

The only exception to this might be when someone attempts to change the aspect of their body altogether. Going from mortality to divinity. Frieza attempts to do this by going "Golden Frieza" through his own training. While not being in a "Divine" state, the transformation alone is comparable enough to be inside the Divine Realm. On par with the God of Destruction, and other godly beings.

But at the end of the day, it's not like they're trying to please someone.

Swift, and efficient. That was how the Frost Clan operated, and it is how they have managed to survive, despite being in a declining state. They did not like to flaunt their strength around.

While going through those thoughts, the fleeting second Frost Demon glanced at the infant Frost Demon still inside the capsule, and paused for a moment to observe Boreas. He couldn't help but sigh.

"Perhaps My Liege is right. All we are ever good at is fighting, and killing. Some even act brazen enough inside the Cold Force and think they can rule the entire galaxy. We, on the other hand, are just wishing to pass time with what little we have left. Their blood is a lot more Wicked than ours is...", The Frost Demon uttered. "And it's not like we don't possess something similar. We may be of different clans, but the blood we share is one and the same...", The Frost Demon continued, sighing again. He shook his head, and ceased those thoughts.

After all, this Frost Demon was one of the survivors. Not even a hundred remained of the Frost Clan. He came to learn what true power was. Not only did most of his clan retreated in fear, a lot of the Cold Force also did. And there were still some stupid enough to stop whatever that purple cat attempted to do.

All of that was in vain. The result was clear as day. Half of Planet Zero destroyed. This Frost Demon was one of the few lucky enough to still be standing alive.

And the worst part? The destruction was instant. That was how scary the God of Destruction is. A mere tap of his finger on a desk, and boom, half a planet destroyed. There are many, many scary beings out there who are capable of wielding this power.

The one who resided above all of this, The Omni-King, or Lord Zeno, had enough power to wipe away entire universes with but a single wave of his hand.

But the Frost Demons didn't know there was even stronger power behind the God of Destructions. To him, they were still a frog in a well.

That is how scary the world Boreas was brought to.

This Frost Demon considered it lucky to see the next generation live on. Through Boreas.

The proof was right before his very eyes. For a split second, the Frost Demon paused. He thought he saw the infant Frost Demon's eyes twitch for a brief second, like they were trying to see something while still closed. It was quick, and only lasted very briefly. But it was noticeable enough to catch his attention. He let out a dry laugh.

"Haha...There's no way you managed to understand what was conversed with My Liege now, did you, young lad?", The Frost Demon uttered. Somewhat shocked, but somewhat interested. Sadly, that single motion didn't continue onward. The Frost Demon even expected a reaction, but there wasn't one. So he could only sigh again, and continued flying out of the lab.

All Frost Demons could fly. They were experts at using Ki from birth. They didn't have to "Train" to use this overwhelming power like humans had to on Planet Earth, or other similar species. Just that thought alone scared Boreas, as he was one of these Frost Demons now.

As the Frost Demon sped away with the capsule still in hand, venturing off to the endless body of water out in the horizon, King Frost remained behind.

A glint of light streaked across his eyes, as if he had made a decision.

Raising the same finger as he once did already, a bright azure-blue began to glow at his fingertip. Wooosh!

A Death Beam parted ways from King Frost's finger, aiming straight at the laboratory before him. A loud explosion soon rumbled after. BOOOM!

Any remaining evidence of the laboratory was soon wiped from existence. The other Frost Demon wanted to look behind, but he knew King Frost launched at that attack. He could only fly forward with Boreas in hand.

He could not look back.

Not now.

But the impact was loud enough to cause Boreas's thoughts to stir once more. "Looks like what these two said were true after all...', Boreas thought to himself. 'Still, something must have happened to me to end up being in this predicament. I clearly lived a life before this, but I just can't recall a single detail of it. And is this how Frost Demons are when they are born? Immediately placed inside capsules?', Boreas thought to himself.

To Boreas's surprise, just thinking that alone just so happened to be a trigger. Faint memories started popping inside his thought bubbles. They were quite faint, unable to paint full pictures. But they were memories.

Boreas, for a brief time, saw tall skyscrapers. Shadowy figures. Some key words. It took a moment for these memories to burst into nothingness, only to find himself inside his thoughts again.

'Dragonball...Planet Earth?', Boreas thought. Of the key words he saw, those stood out in particular. All of what he had just seen felt familiar to him, but he could not fully grasp it yet. At least from those silhouettes he saw, he could confirm that he experienced some type of life before this. But now, he couldn't even open his eyes yet.

Even though he couldn't see yet, the scenery changed altogether. Once the destruction of the laboratory ended, King Frost flew outward in another direction, and didn't meet up with the other Frost Demon. Frozen land could be seen everywhere. Most of it was mountains and crags, all made up of pure, thick ice. Upon a closer look inside the mountains, several tall citadels could be seen with similar-looking Frost Demons flying in and out. Layers of fog covered the atmosphere. Most of Planet Zero didn't have direct sunlight piercing through it, which only drove the temperatures even colder.

But these Frost Demons didn't seem to mind such brutal and cold temperatures. They had long since adapted to it. Boreas was no different. On the contrary, it was a welcoming feeling.

And Frost Demons were none other than one of the myriad of races and aliens that existed in the world of Dragon Ball. Boreas found himself at an unknown time, only to have become a Frost Demon himself. He wasn't sure if it was through a body transfer, or full-blown reincarnation. His memories of his past life were still faint. He couldn't come to a conclusion regarding this matter yet.

There was one thing that Boreas could confirm with the new knowledge has received thus far.

He was brought into the world of Dragon Ball!
