Curiosity got the better of King Kai as he thought that to himself. Deciding on the spot, King Kai closed his eyes, and began to focus. Unlike other beings in the Realm of the Living, as long as a Kai focused their Ki, they could reach out to wherever they pleased. Using Bubbles' direction as a basis, he began to guide his Ki toward the heart of the North Quadrant. Countless stars and planes began to zoom by. They moved very quickly, and if one stared at such a scene for too long, they could become dizzy rather quickly.
But King Kai remained focused.
Before long, King Kai soon landed on one particular planet. One that he had come across before. Now, it was in a half-destroyed state. Boreas didn't know, but the Frost Demons did in fact relocate off world, and one of them, to which Boreas knew well who went by Cooler and was Frieza's older brother, wandered all the way to the South Quadrant, and started causing destruction everywhere he went in the form of war. That was why South Kai was complaining. It likely wouldn't be long until East and West come under siege, depending if the remaining Frost Demons become greedy enough.
It didn't take long for King Kai's senses to spot a sole figure, floating in outer space not too far away from Planet Zero. He hadn't observed this planet in quite some time, so King Kai didn't know just how desolate it became. But once King Kai saw the figure, his frown grew wider. He immediately noticed that bony-like skin, and it was azure-ocean blue, as if he had become one with the ocean. Boreas presently had one of his fingers pointed high up, and was already starting to glow, becoming clad in a similar azure blue to King Frost's aura. It wasn't purple like Frieza's.
Boreas already appeared to move quite naturally in outer space as well, not being hindered by its zero gravity. King Kai's gaze grew serious the moment his eyes landed upon the rapidly expanding sphere growing above Boreas's finger, becoming a miniature sun. The First Selection recommended Boreas to recall Frieza's Death Ball, and that is exactly what he did. He could recall memories rather easily, and his body did the rest. It just felt so natural to him. He directed all of his Ki toward his raised finger, and soon saw the result. The miniature sun. AKA, Death Ball.
Outer Space was screeching with intense Ki flying around in all directions, but Boreas paid it no mind. Boreas wasn't sure if this would work, but the Selection System deemed him capable enough to destroy a planet. And since he was a Frost Demon, using a Death Ball was the way to go. There was a more powerful version of the Death Ball too which was Cooler's signature move, the Supernova. But he didn't need that much strength. Planet Zero was already destroyed enough as it stood.
The Death Ball continued expanding outward and outward, steadily increasing in size. But there was one key difference here.
Boreas's Death Ball was a blue flame! There wasn't a hint of red Ki to be found anywhere!
Still, Boreas allowed his Death Ball to continue gathering. There were no enemies nearby, plus he didn't have a time limit, so he could take all the time he wanted.
Wandering the ocean, Boreas quickly decided that it wasn't worth his time. Especially since he was the last man standing. He held little sentiment towards Planet Zero.
Instead, Boreas's attention shifted upward toward his own Death Ball, a miniature blue sun. It was several meters wide.
"I know characters like to name their attacks in DBZ, and considering this is a Death Ball, should I just keep the name the same? I didn't think it'd result in blue, is this even a Death Ball anymore?", Boreas questioned, wondering what his attack was. 'Or should I be like Hit and just do it?'
Before Boreas could decide on what to do with this Death Ball, Boreas was disturbed by a voice. Not the mechanical chime the Selection System had. It was clear it was a male's voice, trying to speak directly in his mind, likely through telepathy. The voice appeared a little panicked after hearing a dry cough.
"U-Umm, I wouldn't do that if I were you.", King Kai said, causing Boreas to pause. "And I do apologize for dropping in unannounced like this. Is there any possible way for you to stop what you are trying to do that's above your hand?", King Kai continued, asking Boreas in an attempt to persuade him.
Boreas just floated there not expecting someone to reach out to him at a time like this. He was quick to realize who this voice belonged to as well. It was none other than King Kai! He didn't think his actions would be enough to attract someone like King Kai. Then again, he is actively blowing up a planet. Some gods like King Kai are quite sensitive to destruction.
And thankfully, the one who is the most sensitive to it is currently fast asleep.
A grin appeared on Boreas's lips hearing this attempt.
"I'm sorry, but this attack cannot be stopped. This planet must return to ashes. I do not wish for any more spawns to come from this after me. It is a cursed wasteland.", Boreas answered.
"So you do know what has come of this planet then.", King Kai said, only to hear him let out a sigh.
"For the most part. And I do not care if you are trying to stop me. It has already consumed my Ki. This planet will crumble.", Boreas stated.
"Trust me, I will not try to stop you. We normally do not meddle in this realm, only to simply observe, unless there is an emergency. What you are currently doing does not constitute one. Still, I did not think there would be more Frost Demons. I swear, every last bit of your race causes trouble no matter which Quadrant they head into. You, on the other hand, appear to be level-headed.", King Kai said, grumbling. Boreas couldn't help but laugh.
"Heh. I am pretty sure I know who you speak of. There are many of us who like to destroy on a whim. But I have you know, I have my own morals to go by. I am merely putting this to rest.", Boreas said to King Kai. He didn't speak of his Selection System, nor did he have a reason to. Godly Ki was too good to pass up. The Zenkai Boost Serum looked good on paper, but there were other means to acquire it. Unlocking Godly Ki was the way to go.
That way, if Boreas ever visits backwater planets like Planet Earth, just possessing Godly Ki alone is enough plot armor where he can watch all of Z unfold without having to step in, unless he wants to test out certain characters through a fight. With raw strength alone, just his 1,500,000 Battle Power is sufficient before portions of Z conclude. Until Cell and Majin Buu.
And the best part? People can't sense Godly Ki unless they were a god themselves!
"I won't stop you. I did not expect to see this planet again. But if it is destroyed, then good riddance. I mostly wanted to see what was happening here in the first place. Apart from your race wreaking havoc, not much has been going on lately. I wouldn't go up against them if I were you. Don't go snooping around.", King Kai said, warning Boreas to not join what he was likely referring to, the Cold Force. Again, Boreas couldn't help but chuckle.
After all, after destroying Planet Zero, was there even need to do that? He would become a god!
"In other words, you're bored out of your mind.", Boreas retorted again.
"Haha! I will leave that up to you to figure out. Unlike you, I have guests I have to entertain, so I will not take too much of your time. What's your name kid? That is, if you do have one to address you with.", King Kai asked, gaining interest. Of all the Frost Demons he has observed to date, Boreas was much more level-headed. He was surprised that he could actually converse with one. Thanks to that, it is possible King Kai will have more interactions with Boreas in the coming future, so he asked him for his name.
"You can call me Boreas, the last surviving Frost Demon. To ease your worries, I can confirm the rest have already ventured offworld. And after this, there will be zero chance for any to spawn again.", Boreas said, formally introducing himself to King Kai.
"Is that right? Well, it was nice to meet you, Boreas. Like I said, I will not stop you. Just know there are far, far stronger beings out there in the Universe.", King Kai said, warning Boreas. After saying that, Boreas felt that he was now alone inside his mind. The telepathy ended. A smile crept on his lips.
"Oh I very much know who all is out there. Still, to think I would already catch the eyes of someone like King Kai. He didn't immediately shut me down either, considering I am a Frost Demon. Destroying planets isn't something they deny for that matter either. King Kai won't interfere with what I'm currently doing.", Boreas said, only to have his eyes shifted toward the bright blue fiery ball above him. It has grown considerably, stretching several meters in each direction. It was much bigger than him now.
He felt his internal Ki pool had consumed quite a bit of Ki. It wasn't consumed all the way, but he put a lot into it.
"I need to destroy this planet before doing anything else. Here goes nothing...", Boreas said. He showed a determined look.
With a flick of his finger, the giant fiery blue Death Ball hurled itself, heading straight at Planet Zero...
