No one knew their names.
No one knew their faces.
No one knew they existed.
Yet the Murim itself trembled, as if sensing a presence it could not see.
Five figures moved unseen, quietly shaping the world. Their motives were simple: survive the Unknown — a realm beyond comprehension, a force no mortal could measure, a power that could swallow the heavens.
They did not seek fame. They did not seek glory.
They sought control.
Each one feared the Unknown in their own way:
Sword Saint: feared the Unknown would sever life before he could master it.
Heavenly Scholar: feared the Unknown would erase knowledge itself.
Crimson Matron: feared the Unknown would consume her soul.
Beast Emperor: feared all beings he valued would be obliterated.
Shadow Servant: feared that in the Unknown, even his existence would vanish.
They moved silently, weaving influence over the Murim's disciples, leaders, and clans. No one noticed, no one suspected.
The birth of a Lord capable of controlling all was whispered in forbidden prophecies — but it was a faint shadow compared to the terror of the Unknown.
And so, the stage was set.
