In Aethros, deep inside Slums Of Virloss City, in a narrow alley that stank of piss and sewage, a woman lay on ground cradling a baby. Blood slowly pooled between her legs.
Her face was pale, but her eyes were full of endless love and reluctance.
She gently held the baby and gave him a kiss on his forehead.Then took out a small purple crystal from her pocket.
For a long moment she stared the purple crystal in her palms, her face was torn between fear and resolve.
Then she pressed it to her forehead.
The purple crystal lifted from her skin and started Floating in the sky. Then a projection appeared. It was a tall one eyed man in a red Knight's armor.
"All glory to the Emperor of Mankind." he said in a calm voice . "You've finally stopped running. I'll be there in five minutes."
The image winked out.
Her body started trembling, her face breaking into quiet tear.
She lied there as she looked at her child.Looking at his elf ears she started crying even more.
James was never a religious person.Infact he thought that death was the end.He didn't mind that.Infact he was happy with that.
So when opened his eyes and blinding light filled his eyes and a woman holding him he was beyond confused.
'This...is this a...a lucid dream?'
' why is this woman holding me with teary eyes'
'Iam sure I died, killed by that bastard Ethan.'
He tried to move, but his limbs didn't respond. Everything around him looked absurdly large, even the woman.
James tried speaking ,' hey, who are you? Is this the afterlife' but all that came out was unintelligible baby's gugus and gagas.
It finally dawned on James he somehow became a baby.
'Is this a dream , no because i feel everything.The cold and even slight ache I feel with every breath I take with my under developed lungs.'
Slightly calmed down James noticed the scene of his new mother talking to a One eyed man.
James once again had mental breakdown.'How can I understand what he is saying, he is definitely not speaking english, so how can i perfectly understand him.'
Without warning a deep cut appeared in the sky. From it a one eyed man in Knight Uniform slowly descended.
' Oh my God, is that superman?What's going on'
'what the he'll is going on? Is this a world with magic or something.'
James thoughts were all over the place.
The man said coldly as he pointed at james," Alexandra you dare shame me like this ? You first ran off with filthy Elf and now you brought this thing into to world."
Alexandra looked at him and said with clenched teeth," Father Damian is the love of my life and this child is your grandchild not a 'thing', I named him adrian."
She suddenly pressed her forehead on the ground," Father, Damian Served you for more than two decades.He was basically raised by you please save him."
She continued to plead ," Father please...The church caught Damian." She started hyperventilating. It took few second of trying to calm her breathing.
" Damian tried to save Demi human children from being sold to brothels.The Paladins caught him."
"They said he will be burned at the stake tomorrow.Please dad save him."
The one eyed man looked amused," Save him, a wretched Elf, you must be joking. I killed More than a ten thousand of his pathetic kind."
He satarted pacing around her kneeling figure and said cruelly,"The Only reason i spared him instead of just ending and made him slave in my Mansion was out of boredom."
"But that filthy thing dared to poison my daughter's mind with nonsense and eloped with her and now you want me to save him."
He chuckled darkly. "You think I'll save him."
Before she could answer, the air cracked again. She was lifted from the ground, clutching her child.
Everthing around her blurred and shifted.
When Alexandra's dizziness faded she found her self stood before the golden doors of a church.
There were two knights guarding the luxurious church.They were alert when the saw the tear in space but when they say the one eyed man, they immediately knelt down.
One of the men said with a shaky." It an honour to meet you General Kayde. "
"Take me to the prisoners," he ordered with a deep voice.
" Yes Sir!"The men shouted.
He followed them inside.After a minute of of walking they stopped at inconspicuous church wall.
One of the knights whispered a spell. The wall slid away, revealing a staircase spiraling into the damp, dungeon below.
They descended into a dungeon thick with the smell of rust and blood. Behind iron bars, prisoners of every kind their were humans, trolls, beastfolk and even minotaurs.
Kayde let out a low laugh, then, as if nothing had happened, he strode straight to the cell Damian was held in.
Inside an Elf was chained. He blonde hair matted with blood, wrists bound above his head, his handsome face ruined by bruises and scars.His blue eyes were dull and lifeless.
Behind kayde, Alexandra broke into Uncontrollable sobs.
' so this my new father huh. Great A racist hell hole for a new life, Just my luck.' James now called Adrian thought.
Slowly damian lifted his head weakly. The moment his eyes met Kayde's, his face drained of colour.
Kayde smiled. "To think a moment of mercy would cost me my daughter. I should have gutted you when I had the chance."
He snapped his fingers.A ripple of invisible force froze both Alexandra and Damian in place.
Alexandra tried to speak but found she couldn't move a finger let alone talk.
Damian tried to talk but he was also not able to courtesy of kayde.
"Tell me, Damian," Kayde said, "did you enjoy defiling my daughter?"
" Did you enjoy it, did you enjoying fucking my blood?" He shouted veins popping in his otherwise handsome face.
He snapped his fingers again.
Three five metre tall Minotaurs appeared out of thin air. They were visibly confused. One of them suddenly exploded into a mush of meat and blood.
The others froze, trembling.
"Listen well, beasts," Kayde said, voice calm and merciless. "Do as I command, and you live."
Kayde sighed almost lazily. "There's a saying I like, whatever you do to my daughter, I'll do to you.But I prefer women, so… my pets will take my place."
Damian's eyes widened in horror. He began thrashing, chains uselessly.
Alexandra's tears started turning red .Regret twisted her face as the truth sank in. She has invited the devil himself. Now her husband was doomed to fate far crueler than death.
One of the minotaurs understood Kayde's intentions. Its eyes filled with fear, but it obeyed.
while the other scratched his head but followed his companion.
What happened next scarred Adrian for the rest of his life.
' is this hell? This must be hell what kind crazy messed up world am I in.' Adrian tried his best to close his eyes .
He pretended to sleep, but Kayde's cruel laughter and Damian's screams wouldn't leave his ears. The sounds twisted in his mind until fear gave way to numbness. At some point, sleep finally claimed him.
When he woke, silence surrounded him. He was lying in a grand, cold room.
His mother nowhere to be found.Thankfully Kayde was not their either.
A woman dressed as a nun entered, she was beautiful but her eyes seemed dead.
Without a word, she lifted him and began to feed him, the act was mechanical and soulless.
