Chapter 1 - Chapter0: Fall

The universe was never silent in its beginning...

It pulsed with the songs of dimensions.

Great beings known as the Shaftons roamed among the stars—

they built, they nurtured, they gifted life wherever they passed.

Guardians of balance, they shared their light with lesser races,

then vanished as though they had never been.

But… from that light, a shadow was born.

One among the Shaftons looked too far beyond.

He saw a brilliance shimmering behind the veils—

a power not meant for him.

A power that promised perfection… yet demanded a price.

He reached for it.

And darkness embraced him.

From protector—he became a warden.

From that moment, peace was no longer the song of the realms.

The fallen Shafton wandered across dimensions,

and every civilization that faced him did not perish…

—they were cursed.

He poured into their hearts every wound, every pain, every death

that had ever echoed through existence.

Entire worlds twisted in eternal screams—

unable to die, unable to forget.

But not all bent to despair.

One Shafton refused to take part in the ruin.

He left his kind and wandered alone through the stars,

seeking someone… anyone who might one day stand against the fallen one.

Until he found them—humans.

Small. Fragile.

Yet within them burned something strange—

a spark of defiance, a will to endure.

And so, the outcast Shafton struck a pact with a man of Earth.

Together, they wove a colossal spell—

a miracle too vast for any sane mind to believe:

To plunge all of humanity into an endless sleep.

A slumber where they would forget themselves, their past, their pain.

But the price… was unbearable.

The man bore within him every scream,

every sorrow, every tear humanity would have known

if they had faced the fallen Shafton.

From the moment the spell was cast,

their collective agony became fire within his soul—

an inferno that burned for eons.

Years... centuries... millions of years.

The man withered; his identity eroded.

Yet the cries of humankind never ceased.

And as dimensions trembled beneath the rebel's corruption,

he remained the final barrier—

the wall of suffering that kept humanity from annihilation.

But—

when his self is finally consumed,

the truth will be revealed.

And humanity will awaken from its timeless dream.

---

Thus began the legend…

But when they awaken—

will they realize they were prisoners of protection?

Or believe they were prisoners of eternity?
