Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Time Skip

"Hmmmm! The meat is so tender after being pounded and placed in boiling water, then cooked over a fire!" Katara said as she took another bite from the steak.

Norrak smiled, also enjoying his steak as they say inside their tent. It has been a few days since he killed the polar bear, and he had taken the chance to cook something.

The Southern Water Tribe typically prepares soups and warm liquid foods to provide energy in the cold climate. Now that Norrak can hunt and bring back meat regularly, he can cook meals.

He had just cooked a tender steak for Katara and himself. He missed those modern foods. It is bear meat, but after boiling it in scalding water, pounding it to make it tender and grilling it over fire, it was safe to eat.

"I am glad you like it. I have plenty of other foods I want to try and cook for you," Norrak said, thinking about foods like burgers and even pizzas. He doesn't know if they exist in this world, but he will cook them.

"Yay!" Katara threw her hands in the air at his words, and Norrak chuckled before taking another bite of his food. Though something was troubling him.

Six Eyes activated!

Norrak's eyes glowed a deep blue as he increased to their full capacity. He narrowed his sight onto Katara's Chi, and then even beyond that, until he saw her soul itself.

'What is that thing in her soul?... I know it knows that I can see it. Whenever I see Katara's soul, I can feel a pulse in Katara's Chi,' Norrak thought with narrowed eyes.

He was anxious because if that was harmful to Katara, he couldn't do anything to help her. He can't affect the soul or heal it either. He needs to unlock Energy Bending to do something like that.

The only way he could gain energy-bending was by asking the Turtle Lion to bestow him energy-bending... But that's easier said than done since he was actively hiding from humans.

'Unless I bring the Lion Turtle an Avatar, I would never find it,' Norrak thought with annoyance at his weakness. Something is in the soul of his wife, and he can't do anything about it.

"Hmm? Norrak, are you okay?" Ktara looked at Norrak, who unconsciously narrowed his eyes, his lips turning into an angry frown. Norrak looked up and nodded.

"Yeah, I just bit my tongue while chewing," Norrak said, scratching his temple. Katara narrowed her eyes, and she touched his right cheek with her palm.

"You are lying, I know, because whenever you lie you look away and scratch your temple," Katara said, and Norrak froze before letting out a sigh.

"Sorry for worrying you, Katara. It's just, I am worried about your safety, from the beasts outside the tribe and other things," Norrak said with a protective look, and Katara smiled.

She did not think he was lying since Norrak was technically saying the truth. He was worried for Katara because of the strange thing in her soul, and because of the beasts or spirits in his mind.

"Don't worry, Norrak. I am getting stronger, and besides. I have you to protect me if anything goes wrong," Katara said as she wrapped her arms around Norrak's neck, sitting on his lap and resting her chin on his head.

"Yeah, I will," Norrak muttered with a firm look, while looking straight at the thing in her soul.

[Time Skip...]

After that day, Norrak began training harder than ever. He trained for at least five hours a day while also helping Katara with waterbending, since he had instantly surpassed her.

He trained in martial arts and considered how to integrate his waterbending and Chi into his techniques for improved fighting.

The first thing that Norrak thought of was recreating Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist from the world of One Punch Man. A martial art created by Bang.

The martial arts involve moving your internal energy like a stream of rushing water. Norrak did this by making his Chi act as a stream of flowing water inside his strikes and body.

This enhanced his body and also allowed Norrak to use Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, or Stream Fist as he called it. Too lazy to write the name every time.

It took Norrak a week to recreate the martial arts from scratch, and another week for his body to adapt to the martial arts until it felt instinctual.

That's not the only thing that Norrak had done during his time. He also often went out to hunt animals or wild predators. He hunted an animal at least once a week.

This allowed his body and Chi to grow stronger at a fast rate, improving every week, visible to the naked eye. His body was more powerful than before, and it's not by a small amount.

His base strength reached the level of Spider-Man in the cinematic universe. Norrak had reached a massive amount of strength, reaching at least 10 Tons.

His speed also grew, becoming much faster than ever before. His speed grew during the time he spent training, reaching the Hypersonic tiers. His Chi also grew as a result.

By now, Norrak knows he has at least Half og Katara's Chi amount, and that's not the Katara of when he awakened Six Eyes. It's the current Katara, after training with him.

[Skip: 10 Months...]

Opening his eyes, Norrak smiled as the scent of Katara entered his nose. He looked down at the set of lush brown hair on his chest, with Katara only wearing a shirt and a pair of panties.

Norrak was bare-chested, showing the perfect outlines of his muscles. His genes were good, allowing him to build and compact his muscles easily.

His body resembled the type of body that people envision when they think of a fit human with a six-pack and lean, compact muscles on his arms.

They were able to sleep so comfortably without clothes because in the middle of the tent, a pot of water was constantly boiling without any fire under it.

Norrak used waterbending to move the water at a fast speed. It was almost as if it were vibrating, which excited the atoms of the water, heating it up and releasing warm energy.

Once the water was about to run out due to evaporation, moisture would condense and refill the pot of water. Something only achievable due to Norrak's Six Eyes.

"It's time for me to get back the things they stole..." Norrak muttered, a cold light flashing in his eyes as he looked at Katara.

'Tonight, I will go to the abandoned Fire Nation ships frozen on the sea...' Norrak thought with a firm look. He did not need anything, but the same can't be said for the tribe.

If he can find anything of value, like some gold and silver on the ships, then he could leave some for the tribe, and they could buy food from other countries.

I decided on a time skip since there is nothing to really do in the Southern water tribe anymore.
