Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Journey with the avatar!

"You, over there! Tell me the information that we have collected," Azula ordered a Fire Nation soldier with a grin as he sat back inside her cart, the cold air bringing an uncomfortable chill.

The Fire Nation started sweating for a second before he nodded with fear. He ran and kneeled in front of the cart before beginning to recite everything he knew.

"The avatar is somewhere around the Southern continent due to a massive beam of energy shooting into the sky. The energy was felt across the world, and the spirits were overjoyed," The man began.

"Hmm, good. Do not inform or leak this information to anyone. Do I make myself clear? If you do, I will give you a little burn to think about~," Azula warned with a cold smile on her face as she returned to her carriage.

Azula did not want her stupid uncle, who was travelling with Zuko, to interfere in her search. Knowing Zuzu, he will definitely try to come for the avatar.

And when he finds out she was also searching for the avatar, he will try to fight her. Besides, Azula does not think that someone as impatient and stupid as Zuko should come back to the Fire Nation.

His heart is weak and unfit to lead an empire of soldiers. He is not suited to think like a leader, but rather, he would start acting like an incompetent uncle, influencing his thoughts.

"And besides, father was jesting when he sent him to search for the avatar," Azula muttered under her breath as she closed her eyes. The cold chill in the air rushed upon her face.

But something was wrong; it shouldn't be this cold even in the South. Azula grunted in annoyance, her palm resting on her armrest, leaning, cracking the fine quality wood under her grip.

"What the hell is this cold! Why did no one tell me it's this cold here!" Azula yelled as she stormed out of her carriage with annoyance written on her face.

She looked towards the soldiers, who, for some reason, were standing there, looking to the side with frozen expressions. Azule followed the sight with confusion and then also froze.

An ice continent?

"No... This was clearly created by a bender... Did the avatar do this?" Azula muttered with a grin as her hands lit up with blue flames. The temperature was finally giving her some comfort.

But she quickly came out of her excitement at the thought of defeating such a powerful bender. She turned to the soldiers and fired a beam of fire cruelly.

The soldiers instantly screamed as a slight burn was left on their hands. The soldiers were slightly resistant to flames, but Azula's flames were hotter than anyone else's.

"Get back to work, or I will feed you to the fishes!" Azula shouted before moving back to her cart. She huffed in annoyance as she sat in her comfortable chair.

In the meantime, Norrak had made his way back to the tribe, and upon landing in front of his tent, Katara burst out with worry on her face. She looked up and down his body and noticed his upper clothes were missing, and a bit of blood was remaining on his ribs.

"What is this? Were you injured?" Katara asked, and Norrak chuckled as he moved inside the tent. He was still tired from the fight. His Chi is barely coming back to 40%.

"Don't worry, Katara, it was a massive sea creature that could bend like me. Though it was nothing as I killed it in the end," Norrak said, sitting down on the bed as the boiling water in the middle of the tent released a comfortable temperature.

Katara looked at him and sighed at his nonchalant attitude toward being injured in a fight. But she was already used to it from his numerous times of sneaking out to fight dangerous creatures.

She moved and sat down next to him, a blob of water condensing in her palm as she wiped away the blood on his body. Norrak smiled, enjoying the touch as he closed his eyes.

Once Katara finished cleaning Norrak of the blood, she rested her head on his shoulder, a thoughtful look in her eyes as she thought about his promise to her.

"Remember the promise? I can command you to do anything I want?" Katara suddenly asked, and Norrak looked at her with a nod. He turned to her, waiting for her order with patience.

"Norrak... I want you to come with me to learn the four elements and bring peace to the world..." Katara said, her face firm as she opened her eyes, looking Norrak straight in his blue pupils.

"Huh?" Norrak felt his mind stop working for a second at Katara's words. He looked at her with confusion, thinking he had heard her wrong since she was not even the avatar.

"What do you mean, learn the four elements? You aren't the avatar- Wow," Norraks topped as he felt a soft breeze blow past his face. Katara waved her hand, and an invisible wind rushed past his face.

Of course, Norrak saw the wind due to his Six Eyes, but to anyone else, the wind was likely invisible, except if it was extremely condensed like a tornado.

Norrak looked at Katara's chest, and the light within her soul finally made sense to him. He let out a breath of relief, realising he had been hiding due to worry.

"So, you are the avatar? Well, I can't let you travel the world alone, am I right?" Norrak said with a smile, washing away the worried look on Katara's face.

"Yes! I wouldn't have left either if you were not coming with me! You just saved the world, you know that~," Katara said, burying her face in Norrak's chest as she teasingly remarked.

"Oh yeah? Well, if I saved the world, where is my reward?~," Norrak said, his nose touching Katara's. His words brought a red tint to Katara's face, and she huffed.

"Finhe, if you want your reward, then come and get it~," Katara said as she moved back, climbing higher on the bed. She wiggled her finger, gesturing for Norrak to come after her.

Norrak smiled as he waved his hand from outside the tent. A round ice wall so thick that no one would be able to see or hear anything appeared. Norrak followed Katara, placing his right knee between her open legs.

"I will~," Norrak muttered with a hungry look in his eyes.
