Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Scavanging

Boom!

Norrak rushed towards the icy waters, and with a full-powered leap, he soared into the air, cutting through the winds like an arrow. After his body flew out for dozens of meters, he started to fall.

Norrak's eyes glowed a deep blue with a white inside them, almost as if Norrak's eyes had turned into a sunny sky with a blue sky and white clouds. The change had happened not long ago.

Once Norrak was able to hold his eyes open for an hour at full power, his eye evolved into its complete form, similar to Gojo's. This new form allowed him to see souls and see the root of bending.

It also allowed him to control his Chi uniquely. He could eject his Chi to surround his body, and then, with perfect control, he could use that to levitate his Chi, with the after effects causing his body to also fly.

Swoosh!

As Norrak began to fall, his body suddenly shot out towards the distance. A pale blue glow surrounded his body, almost like a second skin, giving him protection against the wind.

His vision zoomed out, using his full-powered Six Eyes to see out for a distance of dozens of miles. Finally, when he saw a couple of ships frozen in ice next to each other, he changed his direction towards those ships.

Flying at Mach 1, it did not take long for Norrak to arrive at the location. Once he arrived, he hovered over a Fire Nation Ship, analysing for any traps that would go off.

"Hmm, I can see a trigger on the floor that would activate once pressure was exerted on the dock," Norrak muttered before making a water arrow shot into the floor of the ship.

Swoosh!

A bunch of arrows shot out of tiny holes that appeared on the wooden boards. The arrows shot into the air, and Norrak dodged them before landing on the ship.

"Let's search the upper hall first," Norrak entered the ship's cabin. After searching the rooms, he barely earned a few golden coins, stolen from the entirety of the Southern water tribe that had almost gone extinct.

Exiting the cabin, Norrak looked at the floor under his leg, and with a thought, his pale blue Chi surrounded his entire leg. He stomped down on the floor, and a hole instantly appeared, going down into the last layer.

He used Stream Fist to redirect a crushing force of Chi into the blow, increasing his strength for an instant of the strike. Norrak used a 300% enhanced leg and the Stream Fist.

People in this world, like Iroh, can break iron cell metal bars with pure strength, so his kick was not invincible. Though it was definitely stronger than Iroh's physical strength.

He penetrated thin metal and hard wood down until he made a dent in the thick metal foundation of the Fire Nation Ship. Norrak jumped into the hole, and upon landing, his eyes narrowed.

There were iron cells with people placed inside them. They had tattered clothes, full of dust, as all that remained of them were dusty skeletons left to rot.

Norrak ignored the cells and instead walked into the room holding the weapons and everything they had stolen. He opened the door, and upon looking inside, Norrak felt his heart skip a beat.

Inside the room, there was a mountain of blue circular money. The amount of money on the floor was enough to feed tens of families for years. It was the kind of money he could live off for a lifetime.

Norrak looked around, and when he noticed that an empty box was on the side of the room, he took it and quickly filled it up with the treasure on the floor, taking every single coin.

"Hmmm... Most of the coins are water tribe, so they are definitely not accepted in the Fire Nation..." Norrak thought with a hint of disappointment, because the currency of the water tribe is definitely not as advanced as the rest of the four kingdoms.

"Well, since these are the Fire Nation Ships, they should definitely have a few Ban coins," Norrak thought as he flew out of the hole he came in, the treasure chest on his shoulder.

Swoosh!

With a quick flight, he appeared above another Fire Nation Ship, and after triggering the traps, he entered the same way. Inside the room, Norrak looked at the smaller pile of currency.

"This is Earth Kingdom currency, though not as valuable as Fire Nations currency; they have the most valuable currency of all, Platinum Ingot," Norrak thought as he filled another empty chest.

"There is only a single Ship left in this area. Since there is no more, I hope this contains some Fire Nation currency," Norrak thought as he exited the hole in the ship.

Swoosh!

Norrak flew towards the last ship, and upon entering the room that held the stolen goods, or in this case. The goods of the Fire Nation. Norrak grinned in satisfaction.

"Looks like this ship was responsible for transferring anything that was the Fire Nations," Norrak rummaged inside the pile of Copper, Silver and Gold Ban coins.

He wasted no time in placing the money inside another chest and then levitating it. He enveloped all three chests in his Chi and had them fly with him.

Swoosh!

Norrak blurred as he flew above the area that held the Fire Nation's Ship. It was around the size of a football field. He clasped his hands together and grinned.

"Well, these ships are useless, so might as well get rid of them," Norrak muttered as he cracked his knuckles. The air surrounding him trembled, drawn toward him like crazy.

Behind him, three balls of extremely condensed water started to gather. A massive vacuum of air appeared as the moisture in the surroundings slowly condensed into the three balls of water.

The water balls grew in size, reaching a staggering three meters in diameter. Norrak pointed his hand forward, and with a glare, the three balls of water let out a hiss.

"Blue!" Imitating Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, Norrak had used the principle behind Piercing Blood. But on a much higher level, he shot out three water lasers with a diameter of three meters.

Boom!

The three water lasers pierced through the ships as if they were slight hindrances to those massive death lasers. The water around the area stirred as the lasers shot into its depths.

The ships broke in half from the force of the attack, and then the three boats sank under the ocean. As Norrak turned around to leave, his back suddenly shuddered.

Boom!

A water laser shot out from the water, and with barely time to dodge, grazed his side, instantly tearing his upper clothes off, and leaving a gash on his side.

"W-What?! What is a bending animal doing here?" Norrak questioned in shock as he looked down into the ocean with his Six Eyes.

Yes, animals in the Avatar verse can bend. It's rare, but it can happen. And what better animal to fight Norrak than a massive monster that had been injured from his attack?

Ichthyotitan severnensis!
