"Absolutely, the blessing of the spirits. No one in the whole wide world could do something like this. This is a miracle, and the spirits must be the reason," Kanna, or as Katara, Norrak, and Sokka call her.
Gran Gran said with a smile on her withering face, her eyes filled with warmth as she rubbed Norrak's head with her old palm. She had taken care of this boy for 13 years, and he was damn well her son at heart.
To see her son in all but blood become so healthy and even gain waterbending was something she couldn't put into words. It made her happy, very happy indeed.
"But Norrak, are you sure you want to actually go hunting with Katara and Sokka? This could all be a temporary wellness," Kanna said with worry in her tone, and Norrak nodded with a serious face.
His eyes narrowed, and his white hair reached down until his neck shone as a stray sunlight seeped inside the igloo. Katara watched with a smile, her cheeks darkening at the sight.
'He looks so handsome when he is serious and focused... Ahhhh!' Katara screamed in her mind like a fan girl. Kanna smiled, watching as Katara closed her eyes, looking at Norrak with a blush.
"Well, I guess I can't disappoint any of you, so... You can go hunting with the two, but keep in mind that I want to meet you and Katara after you three come back," Kanna said.
"Can't you just say it now? And why can't I be here?!" Sokka said with a huff as he looked at Gran Gran. Kanna smiled at Sokka's words, and she chuckled.
"Well, if you want me to do this talk with you, then you need to go and get a maiden; until then, I won't have this talk with you. " Sokka choked on his saliva, coughing as he felt an arrow pierce his heart.
"It's not my fault that only old hags are in this small village! Besides, I can totally get myself a girl!" Sokka replied with an annoyed huff as he turned away, arms crossed.
"I don't doubt it, now off you go. It's almost 9 in the morning, and you guys need to come back before 4 in the evening, or the sun will set," Kanna said, and the three nodded.
They turned around, Katara following beside Narruk, their hands often brushing past each other. Norrak smiled as he turned to look at Katara. He braved himself and his hand reached out, taking he palm into his own.
Katara paused, her heart beating as loud as a drum, but she didn't pull away as they walked hand in hand. They soon retrieved their hunting equipment, which was a shabby spear and a fishing net.
The three did not go straight towards the small dinghy boat since they would need to look for food on land. They always spend an hour trying to track some wounded animal.
But they often end in nothing, so they return to sail towards the icy waters to fish. Norrak followed Sokka as he led the two towards the back of the ice village, gaining more distance.
Norrak followed behind, with Katara's palm still in his hand. He looked around the snowy and cold place, his Six Eyes activating as he used Chi to activate them.
'If I push my eyes just enough, it shouldn't put as much strain on them. But its capabilities will also lessen considerably... Still, it should allow me to track some animal,' Norrak thought as his vision expanded in a 360-degree angle.
Everything within a kilometre radius entered Norrak's brain, and he saw everything as if it were a god's vision. He could calculate the wind speed, its angle, and he could even see each speck of snow that drifted in the air due to the winds.
It was exhilarating!
'I can hold this infinitely due to my perfect Chi control, but even though I am barely using their powers, it puts a slight strain on my eyes. I can use them for 10 minutes max,' Norrak thought to himself.
Deciding to turn his eyes off since they were not far enough from the ice village, Norrak and Katara followed Sokka for a good 20 minutes, gaining enough distance so some wild animals would walk around the place.
[20 minutes later....]
"Ugh! Where are the animals!" Sokka questioned with annoyance as he touched the covered paw print in the snow. It looked fresh, but the snow covered it up.
Activating his eyes, Norrak suddenly turned to the right, where he saw a... Chicken?
The chicken looked just like a chicken, except it was pure white in colour, with its size as big as a dog. Its legs were long, with sharp claws at the end, and its beak was long and pointy.
It would cut deep into flesh if the Arc Hen managed to attack someone. Norrak instantly analysed its body from three hundred meters as the Arc Hen blended into the snow.
"Follow me!" Norrak called out, taking off towards the chicken. Katara and Sokka followed with confused expressions, but they shrugged since they still had 40 minutes left to hunt on land.
The distance between the three and the Arc Hen became closer, and they soon entered a distance of a dozen meters away from the Arc Hen. Its back was turned, and it was pecking a piece of flesh on the ground.
The amount of meat on the Arc Hen's body was enough to feed the entire village for a total of 7 days or even two weeks if rationed correctly.
"Hand me the spear," Norrak asked, and Sokka immediately refused as he looked at Norrak. He opened his mouth to speak, but Narruk activated his Six Eyes to the max, and he snatched it in a blur from his hand.
He turned around, Sokka's voice coming out, causing the Arc Hen to stand straight. Its head turned, and its eyes turned into pins as a spear flew towards its neck.
Squelch!
Splurt!
The Arc Hen's neck was pierced, and a sharp scream left its beak as half of its neck vanished, its head hanging on its back with the skin on its neck holding its head on its body.
Sokka and Katara stared at Norrak in shock. Norrak was also a bit surprised as he looked at the spear embedded in the snow. He threw that with the help of his Six Eyes.
He calculated the force, the speed and the angle he would need to throw it to accurately hit the Arc Hen in the neck, effectively almost a one-hit kill.
"Wow..." Katara muttered.

The boost that Norrak gains from killing an Arc Hne is not massive., At most, a 20% boost in all physical functions. But don't worry, it stacks with his growth.
So after killing the Arc Hen, the 20% would be added onto his physical. The next time he would kill anything, it would increase by 20% of the added 20% from killing the Arc Hen.
But be mindful that this only works when the enemy is stronger, comparable or just weaker than Norrak. It's not something he could spam.
Think of it like this: 1 (Base) + 0.2 (+20%) (After kill) = 1.2 + 0.24 (+20%) (After next kill)= 1.44. It stacks.
Leave a power stone!
