This is the story of Damian Chester and how he became the most powerful time brewer in the entirety of the PARADOX SOCIETY.
Damian's POV
I didn't sign up for all this.. Yesterday i literally won a Lottery and the money was a large sum too. That night i had forgotten the cruelty of the world and how Evil people stayed, lurking in the shadows waiting on your downfall. So the moment i was screaming on the top of my lungs on the cold lonely streets in the night, i hadn't known there were people watching and that was my greatest mistake. I died out of my Foolishness.
At least that's what i thought, because as i laid there bleeding out in the Cold, i heard a voice
'SYSTEM ACTIVATED: RESUMING TRANSMIGRATION TO THE OTHER WORLD'
it was a soft automated one, similar to the ones of An artificial intelligence bot. But before i could gather my thoughts together, i felt something warm envelope my body and a soft glow and then boom, i was no more feeling pain anymore, the floor under me had been replaced with wet grass and i was no more in the dark alley where i was previously almost at the steps of death.
Where was i? I didn't know but all i knew was that i was no longer in my world anymore ,here everything felt different...it looked like i had appeared in an era many years into the future, the technological advancement was so great that i sat up on the wet grass and began staring; Literally what i envisioned earth to be if we advanced higher, weird cars, robots walking around, Hoverboards and anything at all you name it. But now i wasn't so sure that i was on earth anymore.
'CONGRATULATIONS HOST YOU HAVE NOW SUCCESSFULLY BEEN TRANSPORTED INTO ANOTHER WORLD, YOU HAVE ACQUIRED A NEW SKILL: TIME GAZE'
the voice came again, i could hear it inside my head was this something like a game simulation? I asked myself inwardly, the voice came again answering my question.
'I AM NOTHING MORE THAN YOUR SYSTEM QUIDE, I AM HERE TO HELP YOU GROW AND TRIUMPH IN THIS WORLD..AT A CERTAIN STAGE IN YOUR GROWTH I WILL NOT BE NEEDED ANYMORE, BUT FOR NOW I AM HERE TO HELP YOU'
It answered and i quickly got the hang of it, i had been a gamer in my other world, so it wasn't quite hard to understand this. The whole experience was still wierd to me, but i decided to adjust. The universe had given me a chance at life again and i was going to live my best.
It's a Dystopian civilization in this world and i reckoned that it won't be hard to navigate
YOUR FIRST TASK: FIND THE PARADOX SOCIETY.
The system said. The paradox society sounded interesting but how was i going to find them.
'What is the paradox society?' i asked, curious to know what it was all about.
"ANSWER: THE PARADOX SOCIETY IS A GROUP OF TIME KEEPERS THAT HAVE THE JOB OF PROTECTING THIS WORLD FROM CHRONOLOGICAL THREATS, EACH INDIVIDUAL OF THIS SOCIETY POSESSS A TIME BASED ABILITY AND ARE REQUIRED TO BE WELL VERSED IN THE EVENTS OF TIME TOO. TO JOIN THE PARADOX SOCIETY YOU FIRST HAVE TO HITCH A RIDE TO THE TIME TOWER"
'well that's interesting' i said to myself i had to get to the time tower soon. Maybe, i could find my answers about this place there too. I walked out of the wet grass area which happened to be a city park or some sort and the wet grass, seemed to be caused by the water that spilled from the statue of a jellyfish that was mounted in the park.
I walked out into the road, there were somewhat cars passing through, they weren't exactly like the ones in my world, the ones here instead of being symmetrical were propped up into spheres with a glass opening for viewing the road, which was the only similarity it had with the ones in my world, they didn't posesss wheels but simply floated, hovering a few centimeters from the ground.
I stretched my hands to highlight one of the several "Cars" that were passing by..after about thirty minutes of being totally ignored, one finally stopped, a specifically pink one.
The top latch of the car rolled away, this instantly answered my question on how entrance into the car was made. It revealed a man who was wearing shiny clothes, he had a purple lipstick on and dyed green hair and it smelled like raspberries inside his car too, we had these type of Men in our world too, they were usually called Drag queens.
'Hey honey, where are you off to?' he called,over a very loud house music propelling from the bass on his dash board. I answered anyway.
'Time tower, any chance you know where that is?' i said, my voice muffled due to the sound of the loud ass music.
'Oh honey, you are in Luck i just happen to live around there' He yelled, but i couldn't hear the loudness of his voice anyways.
'Oh thank you, can i get a ride'
'Yeah, baby hope on in' I looked at the car and searched for the best way on how to get into this car without embarrassing myself, i was not the Athletic type. After a few considerate seconds i decided to take a Leap of faith... Literally... and thank the heavens it worked, i found myself on the passanger seat.
'What's your name?' the man asked.
'Damian... Damian Chester '
