Damian's POV
"Oh shoot, I have to leave."
Damian simply nodded as Dior hurried off. The moment she disappeared from sight, his expression changed completely. He picked up his phone and made a call.
"Follow her. Wherever she goes, you follow. Report back every person she meets and everything she says."
"Yes, sir."
The call ended.
Five hours later, a man entered the room and bowed respectfully.
"Speak."
"She's going on a date tomorrow at 6 p.m., sir. She seems very interested in him… she even suggested calling it a date."
Damian's fingers tightened around his wine glass. "What's his name?"
"He goes by the name Kaden."
"Did you find out about his background?"
"Yes, sir. He's a dancer and singer. He attends Imperial College London—the same university as her. He's also a basketball player, popular in school. He's 21 years old… Hazel's cousin. He's known to be kind and caring."
Damian leaned back slowly, taking a sip of his wine.
"So… he matches her ideal type," he thought darkly.
"From what we observed… she seems to be in love with him."
CRASH!
The glass shattered as Damian threw it violently at the man, making him flinch in fear.
"Make sure you follow her tomorrow," Damian said coldly. "Find out where he's taking her."
"Yes, sir."
As the man left, a thought lingered in his mind.
"Is he… obsessed with her?"
The door closed.
Damian's lips curled into a dangerous smile.
"I will make sure you fall in love with me… my Dior."
Liam's POV
Liam arrived at the network building, where a car was already waiting for him. Within minutes, he was at his company headquarters.
The moment he stepped inside, his presence alone shifted the atmosphere.
His assistant, Jacob, quickly approached him.
"Thank God you arrived on time. There are a lot of files and documents that need your signature."
Liam didn't respond. He walked straight to the elevator, Jacob following closely behind. The doors closed, and he pressed the button.
Soon, they reached his office floor.
Liam entered and took his seat behind the desk.
"Let me see the project draft proposal."
"Here," Jacob said, handing it over.
Liam skimmed through it quickly. "It's fine."
Just then, his secretary, Ceril, walked in and placed another file on his desk.
"This is the draft for the new project proposal."
He opened it and read through it briefly before his expression turned cold.
"It's rubbish. Tell whoever wrote this they have five hours to redo it. If it's not perfect, they're fired. And make sure they familiarize themselves with our standards."
"Yes, sir," Ceril replied before leaving.
"What's my schedule?" Liam asked.
Jacob checked his tablet. "You'll be reviewing and signing documents from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Then a conference meeting from 3:30 to 5:30. Dinner with Lady Lisa from 5:00 to 6:00. Meeting with the Howard family from 6:10 to 7:20. And finally, a ball—Sir Spencer's 40th anniversary—from 8:00 to 10:00."
Liam nodded. "Alright."
Jacob stared at him in disbelief. "You're actually attending the event…"
"Let's start," Liam said coldly.
Files were stacked on his desk as he began working without hesitation.
Ceril's POV
Ceril stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the 15th floor.
When she arrived, she walked straight to Lina and handed her the file.
"Mr. Liam said you need to redo this draft. You have five hours. If it's not perfect, you're fired."
Lina's face paled. "O-Okay…"
Ceril turned and walked away, a small smile playing on her lips.
"Finally… I'll get to see him again," she thought.
She had intentionally submitted a poor draft—not because she was incapable, but because she wanted an excuse.
"I didn't apply for this job just to work…" she murmured softly.
"…I want something more."
Her smile deepened as she walked away.
