Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

What is evil? Nietzsche said that all things born of weakness are evil.

Chen Ze, a college student who stayed up late playing League of Legends, found himself reincarnated in another world after a crushing defeat—his team's nexus destroyed as the enemy Yasuo secured a pentakill.

At first, Chen Ze thought he had died and been reborn as a wailing, blonde-haired infant. But when his parents named him "Ryuen Kakeru," he realized he hadn't reincarnated—he had transmigrated into another's body.

Sixteen years passed in the blink of an eye. During that time, Ryuen Kakeru divided his efforts between entrepreneurship, physical training, and charming others, all in preparation for enrolling at Advanced Nurturing High School.

Advanced Nurturing High School, one of Japan's top institutions, boasted a 100% employment rate. Its promotional materials claimed that graduates were guaranteed their dream jobs. Whether one could actually graduate smoothly, however, was another matter—one Ryuen neither confirmed nor denied.

In the original story, Ryuen's dream was to become an entrepreneur. Chen Ze had already achieved that for him. Now, as he entered Advanced Nurturing High School, Ryuen had a singular goal: to lead Class C to rise to Class A.

Before heading to school, Ryuen visited a barber and styled his hair into a wolf's tail (inspired by Michinaga Azuma from Kamen Rider Geats). The new look gave him a sharp, refreshed appearance.

On the bus, Ryuen sat in a double seat near the aisle. He could have had a driver take him to school, but that would have meant missing the drama unfolding on the bus.

Kushida Kikyou, Horikita Suzune, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, Kouenji Rokusuke—four faces both familiar and unfamiliar.

Kushida, wearing an innocent, harmless expression, was asking Kouenji if he would give up his seat for an elderly passenger. Naturally, Kouenji refused. As Kushida hesitated, Ryuen stood up to defuse the situation, conveniently positioning himself next to her.

The students of Class D, including these four, all had their own reasons for not yielding their seats—selfish justifications rooted in their individualistic mindsets.

Of course, Ryuen's decision to give up his seat wasn't out of kindness. It was merely a calculated move to get closer to Kushida.

"Thank you," Kushida said politely, expressing her gratitude.

Ryuen accepted her thanks with ease. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ryuen Kakeru, Class 1-C. Looking forward to getting to know you."

"Class 1-D, Kushida Kikyou. Likewise," she replied, giving a slight bow. Up close, Kushida was undeniably beautiful—bright eyes, delicate lips, a flawless face, and an impressive figure. In the original story, Ayanokouji's decision to leave his mark on her wasn't a bad call. If one wasn't partial to long, dark hair, Kushida's appearance might even outshine Horikita's.

"What do you think of the new school, Ryuen-kun?" Kushida asked, her tone warm and inviting. "I'm really looking forward to it. I hope I can make friends with everyone."

"The next three years are going to be very interesting," Ryuen replied with an enigmatic smile. Even Kushida, skilled at masking her true feelings, didn't pick up on the deeper meaning behind his expression.

"By the way, Kushida-san, you're kind of strange," Ryuen added, his tone playful.

Kushida's smile froze for a moment, her expression stiffening as if she suspected Ryuen had seen through her façade. "Huh? Is there something weird about me?" she asked, quickly regaining her composure.

"I mean, who actually looks forward to starting school?" Ryuen said with a grin. "Isn't that a bit odd? I heard there's an entrance exam, so I was up all night studying."

"What? There's an entrance exam?" Kushida's eyes widened in panic. She clearly hadn't prepared.

Seeing her flustered reaction, Ryuen burst out laughing. "Just kidding. I was up all night gaming, not studying. If there was really an exam, the school would've told us in advance."

"Ryuen-kun!" Kushida pouted, her feigned smile shifting into a cute, mildly annoyed expression.

"Sorry, sorry," Ryuen said, still chuckling. Teasing Kushida was proving to be quite entertaining.

"You're surprisingly sly, Ryuen-kun," Kushida remarked, relaxing once she realized he hadn't seen through her mask. Her innocent demeanor returned.

"I'm more than just sly," Ryuen said with a smirk. "Looking forward to our next meeting."

The bus arrived at Advanced Nurturing High School, and Ryuen was the first to step off. Gazing at the school's grand gates, he couldn't suppress his excitement. "It's finally starting."
