Chapter 32 Sherlock's New Alias
Coulson was skeptical of Sherlock's words, but the fact that Sherlock had no injuries at all at this time was indeed strong proof.
Thinking of this, Coulson smiled and took the magic potion that Sherlock handed him. Seeing Coulson take the potion, Sherlock's smile became even brighter.
"Agent Coulson, this bottle is a complimentary gift. Your—what was it—Homeland Logistics Bureau? Forget it, let's just call it S.H.I.E.L.D. If you want to purchase more, you can contact me, but the production of this item is limited, so I can't sell too much. Also, I only accept gold as payment."
Looking at Sherlock's merchant-like face, Coulson's eyes darted around, his face still maintaining that gentle smile as he spoke to Sherlock.
"Of course, no problem, Mr. Sherlock. Do you mind if we test it on site?"
Sherlock was naturally unfazed by Coulson's words and gestured for him to proceed. Coulson no longer hesitated and called over a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent.
Sherlock took a closer look and realized, good heavens, it was an acquaintance! The legendary Crossbones Brock Rumlow. This guy was fierce in the comics, but just a minor character in the movie.
But one had to admit, this guy really looked manly. After Coulson explained the effects of Sherlock's potion to Rumlow, this guy, being a ruthless individual, didn't hesitate at all. He pulled out a dagger and made a small cut on his arm.
Sherlock's eyebrows twitched at such a ruthless action, and even Coulson looked very surprised.
Rumlow clearly saw their expressions, smiled at both of them, and then said,
"Don't be surprised. As field Agents who constantly face danger, Mr. Sherlock's potion can be said to be a life-saving miracle for us. I'm just too excited."
"By the way, Mr. Sherlock, how should this potion be used?"
Sherlock merely twitched the corner of his mouth at Rumlow's explanation, secretly lamenting that he was indeed the ruthless man from HYDRA who dared to confront the Captain head-on. On the surface, however, he remained composed and said to Rumlow,
"It's very simple, Mr. Ruthless. Just pour a little bit of the potion directly onto the wound. Oh, and this potion has side effects. Although it won't harm the body, the side effects of the potion… um… how should I put it, they'll be a bit bizarre, and each use will be different."
Rumlow clearly didn't care about Sherlock's explanation. He directly opened the cap and poured the potion onto the wound. Seeing that Rumlow didn't even frown throughout the process, Sherlock's eyelids twitched as he looked at Coulson beside him.
'Are all S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents this ruthless?'
'Don't look at me, it's my first time seeing this guy so ruthless too!'
After a quick exchange of glances, both turned their attention to Rumlow, who was testing the potion. As soon as the potion touched Rumlow's wound, a flurry of small bubbles quickly appeared.
Soon, the knife wound Rumlow had inflicted on himself vanished without a trace under the potion's effect.
But the side effect quickly manifested. Rumlow's expression became incredibly strange, and he looked at Sherlock with a thoughtful gaze.
Sherlock felt a bit unnerved by Rumlow's stare and looked at Rumlow's head. Above Rumlow's head, his current status appeared.
"Entry: Unyielding Flag (Affected by World's Curse, forced effect, cannot be removed.)
Entry Effect: Mighty Brick Throw, if you ignore some things, it's a man's dream, a woman's nightmare.
Duration: 24:59:26"
The moment Sherlock saw this entry, he understood why Rumlow was looking at him with such a strange expression. He could only give an awkward smile and then replied,
"Well, the effect is random, it's not what you think. According to ancient records, some people even had the side effect of being able to control lightning after using the potion."
Rumlow rolled his eyes at Sherlock's words, tossed the potion to Coulson, and then left in a very peculiar posture.
Watching Rumlow's retreating figure, Sherlock suddenly remembered that he no longer had a vehicle and could only awkwardly say to Coulson beside him,
"Uh, Agent Coulson, do you mind if I hitch a ride to the nearby town?"
Coulson had no reason to refuse Sherlock's request. He immediately called Rumlow, who had been sitting in the car due to the potion's side effects, to drive Sherlock away.
After seeing Rumlow drive away with Sherlock until they disappeared from sight, Coulson picked up his phone and made a call.
"Director, we have new developments."
