This chapter is mostly me rambling about my plans for this fic and how I'll approach it.
First off, I'm not writing this to improve my skills, make money, or anything like that. I just enjoy reading fanfics of stories I like. Whenever I come up with an idea that seems interesting but can't find a fic that covers it, I start imagining it in my head. Eventually that gets boring, so I decided to put those ideas into words instead.
Now, I'll be upfront—I don't consider myself a good writer. While I'd like to improve, I don't really have the drive for it. Because of that, I'll be using AI to help me write this fic. But before you assume it'll just be "AI slop," hear me out.
I've read a ton of fanfics—probably more than 500—across different series like Shadow Slave, Re:Zero, COTE, Naruto, and others (some on Webnovel too). I'm pretty good at spotting whether something is AI-written or human-written. I also know the kind of awkward phrasing, cringe dialogue, or out-of-character moments that ruin immersion.
So i will be writing a chapter myself, then using Ai i will rewrite it And after that fixing the stuff i mentioned above myself. I want to be transparent so I don't feel guilty later. If you're okay with that, stick around and give this story a chance.
Female Lead / Love Interest
The main love interest I'm considering is Cassia. I know she's a common choice and not very liked but she fits best with my OC's personality. Once I lock onto an idea, I don't change it easily—so unless someone convinces me really soon(Maybe you?), hints for this pairing will start appearing as early as the Awakened Academy arc and continue into Forgotten Shore.
Nephis is out of the question—she's for my boi Sunny. Canon ships like Sunphis will develop naturally in the background, but the focus will stay on the OC's main pairing.
About the OC
The OC's personality will be a big focus of the fic. He'll be highly self-aware and pretty rigid, since he's already shaped most of his personality before entering this new world. That said, shifting from worrying about exams to worrying about survival will change some of his perspectives.
He won't be perfect. There will be flaws—some petty, trashy, or even disgusting traits—which are partly self-inserts from me. But let's be real: every writer projects something of themselves into their characters, whether it's who they are, who they want to be, or how they see themselves.
As for brains, he'll be reasonably smart. I've seen way too many OCs in fanfics make dumb mistakes, so I'll avoid that. Still, he's human, so his biases will affect his choices. Expect moments where those flaws lead him into doing something petty, dumb, or questionable.
