- MC's POV -
A world where superpowers exists. Sounds like fiction, doesn't it? I mean, who'd even believe if someone says it's real? Neither did I. That is, until I was born into a world like that.
You must be measuring the absurdity of my words. The truth is... I was reincarnated into such a world with the memories of my previous all intact.
In my first life, my name used to be Yumna. Yumna was born on a planet called "Earth". Honestly, the world was chaotic but boring.
All I knew as Yumna that the people in power were kind of... loose screw headed and I would get bombed while pooping. Funnily enough, it's exactly what happened.
The world on "Earth" was falling down due to continuous nuclear wars. And I, "Yumna", died from a nuclear attack while I was pooping. I had constipation, by the way. Just the moment I let it out, boom. I died.
After that, I had a really long sleep. And when I opened my eyes, I almost thought I was in heaven when I heard people praying to me. It turned out, they took me as a God. Ugh, the pressure they put on me as a new born.
Ironic because Yumna was an atheist and her reincarnation had all her memories intact. Seems like debates are not going to leave the life out of me anytime soon.
Currently, it's been 17 years since then. I have learnt so many things about this world ever since. Fortunately, for me, I was able to read, write, understand and speak their language efficiently.
Let's start with the introduction of this world. This world is called as "Caelores" which means "radiant and ethereal".
It has three realms and seven continents.
The three realms, "Aera", "Varda", "Nora" signify "sky", "land", and "the hidden/shadows" respectively. Honestly, I didn't exactly find anything useful about the realm of shadows.
The seven continents, or rather, nations included —
1. Veydris : Land Of Blazing Flames Ans Passion.
2. Oquaris : Ocean-wrapped Continent Of Tides and Adaptability.
3. Gravorne : Land Of Fertility And Mountains.
4. Thalyra : Sky-swept Land Of Winds and Endless Horizon.
5. Heliovar : Land Of Radiant Light and Golden Temples.
6. Duskara : A continent completely covered by eerily huge forest trees. Most people avoid going here.
7. Astralis : The Mystical Lost Land of the Divine.
Out of these, most people would show interest in Duskara and Astralis. To tell the truth, I did too. But since the last two years, my main focus was on Oquaris and Thalyra. Unlike the people from other continents, Oquarians and Thalyrans do not live on the lands. Rather, they have their dwellings inside the ocean in Oquaris and in the air in Thalyra.
Surprisingly, Heliovar, the most prideful nation and the most dedicated nation towards their God isn't in the "Aera" realm. Rather, it's Thalyra, which is a land abandoned by their God (claimed by Heliovaran priests, not my words).
About Duskara, not much is known, except their ruler is a hypocrite (again, not my words) and it lies in the realm of Nora.
Astralis is said to be the land of unknown and divine. Unfortunately, it disappeared along with it's God centuries ago.
And about the rest of the nations, ..well, I have yet to do my research on them. I am too lazy to go through those heavy history books. How I wish they had mobile phones here. I could have used a search engine and boom, everything summarised as results.
Let's move onto the "Gods."
There's no different God for each nation, actually. They are rulers worshiped as Gods. There's only one Celestial being in this world, none of the books carry their name. So, let's just call them GodParent. Reason : The rulers of the nations are said to be born from a drop of their golden blood. These rulers look like humans but they carry golden blood and have immense amount of powers and have a lifespan of many centuries.
But, even humans get the blessings to control elements. They are much weaker than the rulers but stronger than the common folks. And are called as "Isyrians". I have yet to find out about how these Isyrians are selected. But there seems to be a discriminatory and corrupted system out here. No matter how much I try to find out what exactly is happening, my attempts keep on failing.
Oh, I was so swept up in yapping about the worldly matters that I almost forgot to introduce myself.
I was born as the successor of the golden blood on the land of radiant light, Heliovar. The people usually refer to me as their "God". I don't what to feel about it, honestly. I feel like I might end up getting beheaded on a guillotine if I ever revealed my thoughts here.
By the way, I do have a name. I think people are oblivious to that fact or it's just their frontal face not to offend me. But whatever, I am "Seralyth Altharien" or "Sera" for short. It means "Keeper of Sacred Light". But feels like prisoner of Sacred Light.
The priests of Heliovar are so obsessed with my golden blood and even a scratch on my body feels like war to them. It's annoying. Them, and their mosquito like personalities, trying to use me for their political gains. Even a mosquito would be ashamed, tsk.
Back to the topic, I am not the ruler yet. My predecessor, the current ruler's lifespan is almost over. I would be claiming the throne in a month or two. And then, I would finally be out of the shackles of these damned priests. After that, I would show them what an actual monarch is. I hope my smile would look as scary as a bloodthirsty monster on the coronation day. Yeah, I'm a vampire. Fear me, fellas.
And the most interesting thing is… I've read it all in a book called "Blood Of Eternal Crown" which no one can see except the golden bloods.
There's also this thing about the golden bloods. The insignia of golden blood, a black star which looks like a seven cornered star which a golden symbol of crown in the centre. It appears on the successor's body during the coronation. The Rulers can also communicate with each other using this insignia, interesting, right? I don't have it on me yet since the current ruler is alive, though I've never met him.
The book also states that there will be four Isyrians who'd become the loyal subjects of the rulers. They have got a specific name for them, Crownwardens. Apparently, they live as long as their respective Rulers. But as the Rulers die, their loyal subjects also meet their end by then.
I think I might be able to befriend some people here, probably, my "loyal" subjects? I seem have huge trust issues, no cap.
But weirdly enough, I've never seen a single Crownwarden around. Maybe, they've already met their end considering the current ruler is already on his deathbed.
Oh, look at the time. I've been yapping for so long. It's already night. I should probably get some rest.
