Chapter 1 - Reincarnation and Discovery

Adrien Morel's final breath dissipated into a silence that even machines could no longer measure. His life as a doctor—filled with diagnoses, surgeries, and long sleepless nights—had finally come to an end. Yet, where some would have seen only nothingness, he felt a strange impulse, a diffuse warmth that seemed to draw him toward the light.

When he opened his eyes, the world had changed. Gone were the white walls and the scent of disinfectant. In their place, a golden light caressed towering shelves lined with ancient grimoires, and the air vibrated with palpable energy. His hands… his hands were no longer those of a man worn down by years and the stress of operating rooms. They were slender, nimble, almost noble, with veins shimmering with a strange radiance.

He understood immediately: he was no longer on Earth. His body was no longer the one he had known. He now belonged to a young, orphaned mage, unknown to all, alone in a world where magic determined the value of an individual. The freedom that came with this new identity gave him a strange vertigo.

He stood and instinctively moved toward the window. Below, the grounds of the magic school stretched across several hectares: towers, gardens, and fountains illuminated by the ever-shifting energy of spells. Every detail breathed magic. The students, tall figures clad in robes, practiced casting spells or studied grimoires.

Adrien raised his hands, moved them in every direction, and for the first time felt mana coursing through his veins. This energy, omnipresent in this world, was both alluring and complex. Yet, to his great surprise, everything he observed etched itself into his mind with an almost scientific clarity. Where other students took weeks to understand the flow of mana, he absorbed it in minutes. Every current, every concentration, every magical reaction appeared to him as a logical equation.

In the main hall, a teacher noticed his body and the exceptional gaze he carried. The instructor approached, intrigued by the aura the young mage already emitted. But before he could speak, Adrien slipped away, drawn to a library where the grimoires seemed to call to him. He flipped through the pages, assimilating complex spells and mana schematics that no one had managed to master at his age.

Already, one certainty imposed itself on him: this accelerated learning was not a mere gift—it was a personal revolution. And in a world where magic was everything, he knew that with his scientific mind, he could comprehend what no one else could… and perhaps change forever the magical and medical arts of this kingdom.
