Chapter 2 - Fist sparks

Daniel walked along the dirt path descending from the hill, each step crunching softly in the grass beneath his feet. The wind played with his hair, and the sunlight warmed his skin. Everything felt more alive, more vibrant, more intense than in his ordinary teenage memories. He stopped occasionally, reaching out to touch a leaf, a stone, as if to make sure this world was truly real.

Then he felt a presence. A strange vibration in the air, a tension that made his skin tingle. Before he could react, a group of creatures with red eyes and sharp, gleaming teeth leapt out from the woods—small, but fast and ferocious.

Daniel instinctively stepped back, his heart pounding. Memories of anime battles flashed through his mind: "Stay calm… think… act!" He raised his hands, hesitating, but a warm energy—almost instinctive—began to flow through his arms.

A flash of light shot from his fingers. The creatures screamed and recoiled, burned by a luminous barrier that had materialized before him. Daniel blinked in astonishment. Was… that me? he thought. The sensation was electrifying: the power had come from him, without conscious thought.

As the creatures charged again, Daniel felt a surge of adrenaline and raised his arms with determination. This time, he focused his energy into a continuous wave, sending the creatures flying in all directions, neutralizing them without killing. Exhausted but amazed, he realized he had just unleashed his first magic.

After a few minutes of rest, he sat on a stone to catch his breath, his heart still racing with excitement. Daniel understood that this world was not just a dream: it offered him the chance to fulfill the wild fantasy he had cherished since childhood. He could truly become the hero of his own adventure.

He stood up, determined. The path stretched ahead, winding through forests, rivers, and hills, with towering mountains in the distance guarding ancient secrets. Every step was a mixture of fear and fascination. Daniel knew he had to explore, understand this new world, and discover its limits.

A sound behind him made him turn his head: another creature, larger and more menacing than the previous ones, approached. This time, instinctive magic alone wouldn't be enough. He concentrated his energy, feeling every fiber of his body vibrate with his will. As the creature lunged, Daniel dodged, rolled to the side, and unleashed a concentrated beam of light that struck it squarely. The impact sent the creature reeling, and it collapsed, defeated.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Daniel smiled. Every victory, every discovery, every new sensation brought him closer to that wild dream: to be fully immersed in a world where he could act, choose, and become someone extraordinary. He knew this was only the first step, but that spark was enough to ignite his desire—to understand, master, and explore this world he would soon call his own.
