Daniel's room was bathed in semi-darkness. Only the bluish glow of his phone cut through the familiar outlines of anime posters and stacks of manga. Hours passed silently, marked only by the sounds of the screen and his muffled sighs.
He was absorbed in the final episode of his favorite anime, where a young hero traversed a ruined world to become king. Every sword strike, every burst of magic, every victorious shout seemed to echo in his chest: what if it were me? Daniel thought. He imagined his own hands holding a sword, his own decisions changing the course of an entire world.
A strange warmth rose in his hands as he rested his phone on his lap. Suddenly, the screen glowed with a golden light, casting shadows around the room as if the sun itself had entered. Daniel blinked.
"W-who's there?" he whispered, caught between excitement and fear.
The light grew brighter, enveloping his body like a cocoon of warmth. Then a voice, gentle but firm, echoed in his mind:
"Your wish has been heard. Prepare yourself."
Before he could react, the entire room seemed to dissolve into sparkling dust. His posters, his books, his phone—all disappeared in a swirling brilliance. Dizziness overcame him. He wanted to scream, but no sound came out. Then… nothing.
When Daniel opened his eyes, the world had changed. Before him stretched a verdant hill, bathed in sunlight. Birds sang, and the wind swayed the tall grass around his feet. In the distance, a majestic city rose, its ivory towers glittering in the light. Excitement surged through Daniel: it was… real. Everything was real.
He took cautious steps, feeling the soft, fresh grass under his fingers. The adrenaline coursing through him was irresistible. "I… am really here?" he whispered, breathless.
And then he felt it: a powerful, vibrant energy flowing through the air and beneath his feet, as if the world itself were breathing. He raised his arms and closed his eyes. A gentle warmth, like a fire within, surged through his veins. He knew, with certainty, that something inside him had changed.
In the distance, silhouettes appeared: riders, unknown creatures, perhaps allies… or enemies. Daniel felt a mixture of fear and challenge. This world, the one he had always dreamed of seeing, waited for just one thing: for him to write his own legend.
A smile spread across his lips. He took a deep breath and whispered:
"Then… let's begin the adventure."
