Chapter 3 - The guild of Borschtelese

After leaving the forest, still catching his breath from his first battles, Daniel found himself on a dirt road winding between sunlit fields. The forest behind him left a scent of moss and moisture, while ahead stretched a walled town. Modest towers and red-tiled rooftops gave the place a charm almost like a painting come to life.

The townspeople moved through the cobblestone streets. Their clothing resembled that of peasants and artisans from the 17th and 18th centuries: linen shirts, woolen vests, simple skirts and trousers, straw hats or hoods. Children ran between stalls while merchants loudly promoted their vegetables, meats, and fabrics. Daniel observed the scene, fascinated: everything felt authentic, alive. He felt both awe and a slight intimidation.

Deep inside, a thought surfaced, nurtured by years of watching anime: in these stories, the first stop is always the guild… that's where you find quests, information, and companions. He nodded to himself, determined—his heart racing.

Before moving forward, he focused on an important question: could he communicate with the locals? He approached a fruit merchant and asked timidly:

"Excuse me… could you tell me where the guild is?"

To his great surprise, the merchant smiled warmly and replied in clear, understandable language: "The guild? Follow the main street; you can't miss it. It's the inn with the black and gold sign."

Daniel felt a thrill of excitement: he understood everything the townspeople said. His ability to communicate seemed natural, as if he had always been here. He continued along the street, asking a few questions to confirm the exact location of the guild and gathering information about how it worked. Everything matched what he had seen in his anime: a guild that served as a starting point for adventurers, a place for meetings, and a hub for quests.

After a few minutes of walking, he finally spotted the inn mentioned. Above the door hung a sign reading Borschtelès, carved in wood and painted black and gold. Voices and laughter spilled out of the open windows, and people of all sorts went in and out. Daniel felt his heart race: he was about to enter the guild—the first real step of his adventure.

He pushed the door open carefully. Inside, it was lively and warm: a fire crackled in the hearth, lighting wooden tables where adventurers talked, laughed, and shared maps or scrolls. The smell of bread and roasted meat filled the air. Daniel took a deep breath, a smile spreading across his face: he was finally here, at the heart of the action, ready to discover the mysteries, quests, and perhaps alliances that would shape his destiny in this new world.
