Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Daily Life

The Lands Between, where the Golden Tree once overshadowed everything, has now vanished. A great sun has taken its place.

Although this sun is not as dazzling as the Golden Tree, it continuously radiates light and heat in the Sky.

Compared to the Golden Tree, the sun's presence is much less, so much so that people sometimes subconsciously ignore its existence.

"Phew! Today's work is finally over!" Godwyn stretched from his desk. The busy work was done, and now came the enjoyable leisure time.

As the current governor of The Lands Between, he had too many things to deal with.

However, thanks to Patches' extensive knowledge, The Lands Between has now shed its former system of one god and one king.

The accompanying restructuring of administrative personnel also greatly reduced Godwyn's burden.

"Truly worthy of being the King's friend. Who would have imagined the power of a system could be so great?" Godwyn chuckled and shook his head; he still had much to learn.

Closing the official documents, Godwyn ended his day's labor.

"I'll go ask Mr. Patches about today's problems when I get back!" Godwyn thought. His so-called leisure time was used to clear his doubts.

As soon as he stepped out of the administrative hall, Godwyn saw Miquella, who had also finished work.

Although Miquella's physique was delicate, his beautiful face held all the beauty in the world.

The Empyrean Miquella—the Empyrean of the pure Golden Order. His Haligtree embraced all existence, and he himself possessed the power to make others love him.

Precisely because Miquella treated everyone equally, he was now the judge of The Lands Between, with no less power than Godwyn.

Miquella nodded to Godwyn, a greeting between them. However, neither of them stopped to converse, as they both knew they had more important things to do.

Parting ways on the newly constructed Royal Capital Avenue, Miquella walked directly towards the Grand Colosseum of Leyndell.

Ever since Yu Jin immolated himself, Malenia had become even more taciturn, spending every day fighting, ceaselessly fighting.

Fortunately, after Godfrey shed his identity as King, he re-embraced his name as the warrior Hoarah Loux and fought alongside Malenia in the Grand Colosseum.

"Boom!" The closer Miquella got to the arena, the greater the ground vibrations became.

Thankfully, the arena was protected by a forbidden spell jointly cast by Ranni and Rennala; otherwise, Leyndell itself wouldn't be big enough for the two of them to fight in.

Sitting casually in a spot, Miquella knew that Malenia needed to vent. As her brother, all he could do now was accompany her.

Underneath the Altus Plateau, a thousand miles from Royal Capital Leyndell, Ranni and Radahn stood before the Grand Lift of Dectus.

"Have you looked at the blueprints? If you have any questions, tell me now." Ranni still maintained her indifferent demeanor.

"Hahaha, don't underestimate your brother! I am, after all, one of the foremost gravity mages in The Lands Between," Radahn, clad in heavy armor, said with a hearty laugh.

"Everyone! Stand back!" Radahn shouted, causing everyone to turn their heads.

Seeing that everyone else had retreated, Ranni subtly nodded. A Demigod unleashing their full power, even if not in combat, would produce aftershocks that ordinary people couldn't withstand.

Ranni's snow witch cloak spread open, and her four arms, each holding a top-tier staff, extended.

Then, blue light converged in the four staves, and four massive azure beams of light erupted from them!

Comet Azur—the magic of Azur, one of the primeval sorcerers. One of the legendary magics.

It is said that the home of the glintstone lies in the distant stars. It can unleash a torrent of the starry Sky—a colossal comet.

The surging Starry Sky Ji Liu slammed into the cliff face of the Altus Plateau. While casting the four Comet Azurs, Ranni also divided her attention to control the speed and direction of the Starry Sky Ji Liu.

Radahn, seeing this, had his Starscourage Greatswords glow with a faint purple light.

Under Radahn's superb gravity magic, the tunnel Ranni drilled was rapidly solidified!

Before long, the roaring sound of the Ji Liu dissipated, and a tunnel dozens of meters in diameter and tens of kilometers long appeared before everyone's eyes.

From then on, people no longer needed any Great Runes to travel to the Altus Plateau; this tunnel was open to everyone!

"Let's go to the next location," Ranni said without lingering. Many more facilities in The Lands Between awaited her reconstruction.

The Shattering War began with her. Although the Shattering of humanity was now repaired by Yu Jin, the world remained broken.

Repairing the broken world was both her atonement and Yu Jin's wish.

At the other end of the world, on the Giant's Flame Cauldron, a graceful figure sat on the cauldron's broken edge.

Melina looked at the rekindled flame of the Fell God, her fingers caressing the Spectral Steed Whistle, lost in thought.

Her destiny should have ended here, but Yu Jin twisted her fate. She did not die, and the mission she once lived for was lost.

But thankfully, Melina quickly found a new mission for herself. If she couldn't be the kindling for the King, then, as she once told the King—she would become his witch and serve him.

However, soon, even this mission vanished with the King's Burning.

Looking at the busy giants below the cauldron, Melina fell into confusion; she seemed to have no purpose left in life.

Some rejoiced, others grieved. Melina's sorrow clearly couldn't disturb Patches' joy; his long-awaited Patches' Shop had finally opened—and with legitimate merchandise!

"Ding-dong!" A crisp bell rang; someone had entered the shop.

"Wow, welcome... uh..."

"I must be dreaming. Don't joke around! Wake up quickly! This kind of development isn't fun at all!" Patches' expression quickly changed from beaming with joy to utter terror.

The shop door automatically closed, darkness surged in, and a figure emerged from the darkness, walking towards Patches.

A dark, long dress trailed on the floor, noble yet outlining the woman's beautiful curves.

A cloud-like cape added a touch of softness, and beneath the cape were arms wrapped in dark bandages, which, combined with the crown-like eye mask on her face, made her appear even more mysterious.

"So, Lord Patches, what do you require for you to send me to Lord Yu Jin's world?" the Fire Keeper asked...

"Clang, clang, clang!" Yu Jin held a brass shield, tapping it with a wooden stick.

"The sun's on your butt! Time to get up!" Accompanied by Yu Jin's shouts and the clanging of the brass shield, soon, two smaller Finger Maidens appeared before Yu Jin.

"Alright, hurry up and wash up and eat! We'll go buy clothes later." Yu Jin waved his hand, deciding the day's itinerary.

"Oh! Yay! Shopping for clothes!" Garura immediately let out a joyful cry. Shopping is one of the things girls love to do most, and Garura was no exception.

"..." Collei hadn't yet fully recovered from her escape, but the silent girl still managed a smile.

Although she wasn't completely out yet, she was on her way out, wasn't she?

"Good, today I'll let Collei see my cooking skills." Yu Jin confidently patted his chest, producing a clanging sound like metal striking metal.

Garura shivered, snapping out of her excitement. She quickly pulled Collei into the kitchen, shouting loudly:

"Brother Yu Jin, please save your cooking skills for the Fatui. For everyday cooking, leave it to us girls!"

Then came a "Bang!" The kitchen door was locked. It seemed Yu Jin's previous meal had left a deep impression on Garura.

But Yu Jin didn't mind. He rubbed his chin, once again falling into thought.

"Fatui? How did I not think of that!" Yu Jin clapped his hands. With the Fatui as taste-testers, his cooking skills would surely improve by leaps and bounds.

Soon, a simple breakfast was brought to the dining table by Garura and Collei.

At the table, Garura stared intently at Yu Jin's helmet. Although Collei ate with her head down, her eyes occasionally darted towards Yu Jin.

It seemed the two Damselettes had reached some small agreement in the kitchen.

Yu Jin picked up a piece of flatbread, deliberately slowing his movements. At this moment, Garura's gaze was already drawn to Yu Jin's hand holding the food, and Collei also stopped eating.

The flatbread moved closer to Yu Jin's helmet little by little, and the Damselettes' breathing grew heavier.

But the moment the flatbread approached Yu Jin's helmet, the two only saw a black shadow flicker, and then the flatbread in Yu Jin's hand vanished.

"Hey!" Garura angrily slapped the table. She still hadn't seen what Brother Yu Jin looked like!

Collei also resumed eating, but a tiny bit of resentment emanated from her.

"Hmph hmph hmph! Not even the Fire Keeper has seen what I look like. These two little girls think they can?" Although the appearance of a living corpse was not something to be proud of, Yu Jin proudly raised his head.

"Thump, thump, thump!" Urgent knocking sounded at the door.

"Coming!" Yu Jin put away his proud demeanor, replied, and walked towards the door.

"Good morning, Uncle!"

The energetic Amber appeared before Yu Jin.
