"Ah!" The Doctor, lying flat on Yu Jin's lap, cried out in pain.
It wasn't his fault; the Black Knife, as a dagger, was not only one size larger but also had many ghastly bifurcations on its blade.
One stab with that, and no matter what kind of kidney you had, it would be minced. Unfortunately, the Doctor didn't have kidneys.
After one stab, Yu Jin could no longer maintain control over the Doctor. The Doctor also noticed this and quickly broke free from Yu Jin's grasp, leaping a great distance away.
"Hiss—" The Doctor clutched the wound at his waist, and streams of blood flowed from between his fingers.
The Doctor watched Yu Jin, who was wearing the Black Knife armor, from a distance, wary and not daring to relax in the slightest.
As one of the Doctor's 'slices,' he had almost absolute control over his body. Yet, no matter how he tried to control his muscles to close the wound, blood continued to seep out.
This was a method he had never encountered before!
Yu Jin looked at the Doctor, who was still standing in the distance, somewhat disbelieving. Back in the Town of Ceremony, he had been 'kidney-harvested' by four Black Knives in turns, and had been stabbed at least a dozen times.
That experience was still one of his traumas, and precisely because of this, Yu Jin had spent a long time learning the 'kidney-harvesting' technique from the Black Knives, just to protect his own kidneys from DMG.
Now, this was his first attempt, and the opponent didn't even have kidneys! It completely threw Yu Jin off.
"No, I'll try again!" Yu Jin's expression beneath his mask hardened, and his figure vanished before everyone's eyes.
The Doctor saw Yu Jin disappear again and, ignoring the wounds on his body, large clusters of black flames ignited around him—he was using a Delusion.
Unfortunately, this method had limited ability to hinder Yu Jin. He reappeared behind the Doctor and, in the Doctor's terrified gaze, lifted him—the Doctor was wearing a mask, this was Yu Jin's own imagination.
"Ah—" Then everyone heard a scream from within the black flames.
"Shua!" The sound of light footsteps on gravel came, and Diluc turned to look, finding that Yu Jin had appeared beside him at some unknown point.
Seeing the blood-stained Black Knife in his hand, Diluc instinctively took a step back and covered his own waist.
"Is that step back for real?" Yu Jin silently grumbled in his heart.
But he didn't say it aloud, because he didn't want others to know he was currently in a cross-dressing state.
"Apologies, your method... uh, is somewhat unique." Diluc, seeing Yu Jin staring at him, explained awkwardly.
The black flames, without the Doctor providing life force, did not last long. Soon, as the black flames dissipated, everyone gasped at the sight of the Doctor.
The Doctor was half-sprawled on the ground, blood gushing from the wound on his side, staining a large area of the ground red.
"Heh... heh heh, truly interesting. It's been a long time since anyone could make me so disheveled. Since I became a Harbinger, you are the first."
The Doctor raised his head with some difficulty, giving Yu Jin a faint smile. He stared intently at the woman before him, as if to engrave her firmly in his memory.
Unfortunately, he was looking at Yu Jin, not the Black Knife. After this, perhaps? Possibly? Most likely, the Black Knife would not appear again.
"We've wasted enough time. Half for you, half for me, let's finish this quickly!" Diluc saw the remaining Fatui soldiers gathering again and couldn't help but let out a cold snort.
The only thing praiseworthy about the Fatui was their loyalty.
Yu Jin heard Diluc's words and agreed. However, he stopped Diluc's advancing figure.
Yu Jin could tell that a significant portion of Diluc's formidable strength came from the Delusion at his waist. Although Diluc used it very carefully, it was ultimately consuming his life force.
Under Diluc's puzzled gaze, Yu Jin half-crouched, drawing a circle with his hands before extending his arms straight out.
A dazzling golden light flew from between his arms; it was a meteor, a Golden Meteor.
It was said to be one of the oldest Golden Tree Prayers.
One of the "legendary Prayers." It could form countless Golden Meteors to attack the surroundings.
Numerous tiny meteors swirled around the thick meteor column, like a miniature galaxy.
Diluc was already dumbfounded. The golden light had replaced the sun; he could only see a golden glow covering the entire beach.
But Yu Jin knew perfectly well that when he first obtained this Prayer, he couldn't wait to fight Black Blade Maliketh, and almost got his brains knocked out by the Black Blade.
This led him to still suspect whether the Elden Meteor Prayer was a joke sent by the Greater Will, that old geezer.
The endless small meteors automatically found their targets, whistling as they rushed towards the Fatui soldiers.
Seeing the sky full of meteors, despair flickered in the soldiers' eyes. It seemed they would meet their end here today.
"Hmph!" A meteor struck an Ice Fatty, making him let out a groan of pain.
"?!" But the Ice Fatty quickly reacted. Although the blow was indeed painful, like a dull hammer striking his head, it seemed to be quite different from the power he had expected.
However, his face quickly turned green again, because one dull hammer was fine, but had he ever seen a sky full of dull hammers?
Soon, the beach was in chaos. The Fatui soldiers scurried around, clutching their heads, dodging the meteors falling from the sky.
The first, the second... soon, some were hit several times in a row, collapsing to the ground unwillingly.
Before long, the beach was littered with unconscious Fatui soldiers, lying every which way. One could vaguely see more than one large bump on their heads.
Now, only the Doctor remained, struggling to hold on. Just as he was about to say something to Diluc and Yu Jin in the distance, he saw the meteor column turn and charge towards him.
Then, he abandoned all pretense and, clutching his head, began to hide from the Elden Meteor.
Discovering that someone could evade it, the meteor column seemed to get angry. It suddenly accelerated, carrying a multitude of small meteors, and rushed towards the Doctor.
"Bang!" The meteor column exploded, directly knocking the Doctor to the ground. Just as he tried to struggle to his feet, he saw the remaining small meteors rush towards him in a frenzy.
"I'll remember you!!!" The Doctor let out an unwilling roar, and then he was engulfed by the meteors.
"Clang clang clang!" The sound of meteors shattering continuously echoed across the beach, a lively scene!
The golden light dissipated, leaving only the unconscious figure of the Doctor. His waist was still bleeding, but the Doctor truly had a lot of blood; it had been flowing for so long and still hadn't dried up.
Yu Jin saw that the Doctor's life force was still strong, and remembered that he seemed to be a leader of the Fatui, so he made a throat-slitting gesture towards Diluc.
"No, this is just one of his 'slices.' Even killing him will have no effect on the real Doctor and will only escalate the conflict, which is not worth it."
Diluc shook his head. Although he wished he could directly annihilate the Fatui, he knew that such things had to be done slowly, not rushed.
"Let's get acquainted. My name is Diluc, owner of the Dawn Winery. If you ever need anything in the future, just look for me. Also, Angel's Share in Mondstadt is also my property; feel free to stop by for a drink sometime."
Diluc took off his mask and threw a token to Yu Jin. Yu Jin reached out and caught it. The token was engraved with a nightingale pattern, looking like a valuable item.
Yu Jin also extended a hand and shook Diluc's, saying nothing. He wanted to maintain his aloof persona.
Diluc nodded and said nothing more. From the recent experience, this woman was powerful and strange, and her disinterest in communication was within his expectations.
"Wow, what a spectacular battle, it truly opened my eyes." Just as Yu Jin and Diluc were about to leave, Kaeya emerged from who knows where.
Clapping his hands, he feigned surprise and said to Yu Jin, "I never expected Mr. Yu Jin to have such a peculiar hobby. Would you like me to recommend some of Mondstadt's ladies' favorite long dresses?"
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Then Diluc and Kaeya saw Yu Jin's Black Knife armor, without being removed, was directly replaced. Soon, Yu Jin's knight armor was back on his body.
However, at this moment, Yu Jin had a wet small scythe in his hand, and he was currently applying human pine resin to it.
"Has no one ever told you that you talk a bit too much, esteemed Cavalry Captain?"
Yu Jin said, holding the resin-wiping small scythe.
