Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Collei

"Collei? Is she someone very important to you?" Yu Jin heard another person's name from Garura for the first time.

"Yes, Sister Collei has always looked after us. She's the oldest among us, and also the most successful subject of the experiment," Garura recalled. In those lightless days, Collei was her only light.

"Is that so? She's truly a good child, hm hm hm, it seems I really can't stay idle," Yu Jin sighed.

"Then… then, Brother Yu Jin, are you going to save Sister Collei?" Hope flickered in Garura's eyes. If Brother Yu Jin took action, he could definitely save Sister Collei!

"Of course! You've called me 'Brother,' so I must handle my little sister's matter!" Yu Jin patted his chest confidently.

This time, it was the duty of a Sun Knight calling!

"But we need to act at night. In the meantime, you need to tell me what Collei looks like," Yu Jin said to Garura.

"Mhm!" Garura nodded heavily. Now that she had the sun by her side, she naturally wanted Collei to also feel the sun's radiance… That night, with Mora, the remaining matters were easy to handle.

Yu Jin quickly rented a reasonably spacious house and settled everything.

However, while waiting for night to fall, Garura was always restless. If Yu Jin hadn't comforted her, she probably would have run out alone to find Collei long ago.

"Time's up, I'm setting off!" Yu Jin looked at the sky and realized it was the perfect time to kill… ahem, to save someone.

"Mhm, Brother Yu Jin, be careful." Garura looked at Yu Jin with teary eyes.

"No way? Playing soft?" Yu Jin already knew Garura wanted to go out with him, but then she would surely use the power of the remnants of the gods within her.

Yu Jin didn't bring it up, and Garura was sensible enough not to ask.

But now this little girl seemed to be playing a trick. Too bad, Yu Jin was someone who preferred soft tactics over hard ones.

"How did you, little girl, know I can't stand to see others cry? Get on my back, and don't use the power within you!"

Yu Jin didn't hesitate much. He half-crouched and said to Garura.

After all, for him, fighting with an ordinary person wasn't a burden. His martial arts had long ascended beyond the imagination of ordinary people.

Although he had been burned once again in the elden ring world, what he lost was merely power, not experience.

"Hehe, I knew it, Brother Yu Jin is the best! Don't worry, I'm very familiar with Sister Collei; I can recognize her from afar."

Garura smiled and climbed onto Yu Jin's back, continuously listing her good qualities, seemingly not wanting to be seen as a burden.

"Alright, hold tight, let's go!" Yu Jin let out a soft shout, and then their figures vanished into thin air.

"Mhm, it seems my magic hasn't gotten too rusty," Yu Jin muttered, then quickly leaped onto the rooftop, like an agile wildcat.

Unseen Form—the night magic of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. When cast, it makes the caster's figure difficult to discern, a magic used by Sellia's assassins.

However, Yu Jin used it this time to save someone.

At the same time, Yu Jin also cast Assassin's Approach. With both combined, his sound also almost disappeared.

Yu Jin, carrying Garura, had a somewhat bulky figure but an extraordinary agility. He constantly leaped across the rooftops of Mondstadt City, searching for the Damselette releasing black flame… "Hiss—, Ha—" Collei exhaled a turbid breath, wandering aimlessly through the city.

Her wounds, amplified by loneliness, brought her more pain.

She was like Garura back then, covered in bandages and wearing a tattered cloak.

However, many of the bandages on her body were burned away, revealing festering, pus-filled skin underneath—the price of using black flame.

Because of this, she was always thought to have some unknown contagious disease. At best, she was refused entry into cities; at worst, she was directly beaten and scolded.

Even in Mondstadt, known for freedom and tolerance, she had only managed to sneak in by taking advantage of the chaos caused by the black flame incident.

Naturally, after entering the city, she had nowhere to go.

Unconsciously, Collei walked to Mondstadt's Windrise.

Looking up at the giant Anemo God Statue before her, an indescribable anger surged in her heart. Collei's voice gradually changed from murmurs to roars:

"Fatui, Cryo God! God!!!"

"Ah!" Collei painfully knelt on the ground as the remnants of the gods within her began to stir again. Looking at the statue before her, she increasingly felt that the giant God Statue was mocking her.

"Heh heh, truly powerful, Gods. Why? Why?!"

"You are so powerful, why do you still have to ruin my life!!!"

Collei could no longer suppress the turmoil within her. Large gouts of black flame spread from her body, rushing towards the distant giant statue.

"Sister Collei!"

"Wait!"

Two Damselette's voices came out simultaneously. Yu Jin looked in the direction of the sound and found that besides him and Garura, there was also a beautiful Damselette with brown hair, dressed in fiery red.

"Ga… Garura!!!" Collei quickly recognized Garura, whose appearance had greatly changed. Her face, originally distorted by hatred, regained a trace of clarity.

"No… don't come near me! Hurry… hurry and run!" Collei saw Garura and Amber running towards her and immediately yelled.

Collei didn't want to hurt anyone, but she couldn't control herself now.

Looking at the black flames rushing towards her, Garura didn't dodge. She believed in Sister Collei, and she also believed in Yu Jin.

And Amber also didn't dodge. She only saw a pitiful Damselette who needed help; as for anything else, that could wait!

Seeing the black flames about to touch Garura and Amber, despair involuntarily appeared on Collei's face.

But very quickly, a shocking scene appeared!

The black flames, which had been surging like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey, immediately stopped. They seemed to have seen some natural enemy and began to rapidly retreat back into Collei's body.

Collei could feel that the remnants of the gods within her were afraid! They were now cowering in the deepest part of her body, trembling like docile sheep.

"Black flames? A bit weak, aren't they?"

"Do you want me to teach you real black flames? The kind that can slay Gods," Yu Jin said to the stunned Collei, pinching out the small cluster of black flame on his fingertip.

"Sister Collei, you really did make it to Mondstadt! I knew it, you definitely could escape!" Garura circled the still-recovering Collei, immediately launching into a barrage of words.

"Ah… ah! Haha, I was lucky. But Garura, you, how did you change so much?" It took Collei a while to come back to her senses.

She pinched Garura's cheek and stroked her hair. She remembered Garura's symptoms were much more severe.

"Hehe, Brother Yu Jin saved me," Garura said with a silly grin. If it weren't for Yu Jin, she would definitely have been recaptured by the Fatui by now.

Collei turned her head at the words and saw Yu Jin squatting beside Amber, staring intently at the Vision on her waist.

"This is a Vision?" Yu Jin asked curiously, staring at the ruby-like Vision on Amber's waist.

"Of course!" Amber lifted her head proudly; this Vision was her pride.

"By the way, old man, how long are you going to keep staring?" Amber couldn't help but remind him, feeling Yu Jin's still intense gaze.

He's so strong, how could he not have a Vision! Yu Jin must be making fun of her, Amber thought to herself.

"Oh, sorry." Yu Jin stood up. He had just carefully looked at the Vision and felt he could try something.

"Let me show you what 99 Intelligence looks like!" Yu Jin was filled with confidence, completely forgetting he was just like this when he was cooking.

"Done chatting?" Yu Jin walked over to Garura and Collei, finding both of them looking at him.

"Brother Yu Jin, can you cure Sister Collei?"

"What you just said, was it true?!"

Two different people, naturally asking different questions.

"Of course, no problem! But shouldn't we be leaving? People are about to arrive!" Yu Jin patted his chest, giving them a confident answer.

Then he crouched down, and Garura skillfully climbed onto his back.

Standing up, Yu Jin looked at the somewhat silent Collei. He said to Garura, "Hold tight, I'm not supporting you anymore."

Hearing this, Garura seemed to realize something. Her legs immediately clamped around Yu Jin's body, and her arms tightly hugged his neck.

"Hehe, Brother Yu Jin, don't worry, I won't fall off." Then she looked at Yu Jin and Collei with some anticipation.

"Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!"

Yu Jin ignored Collei's protests. He simply carried Collei in a princess carry.

"What else? We're going home!" With that, Yu Jin dashed out.

"Home?" Collei stopped struggling. She felt the continuous warmth from Yu Jin's chest and said, somewhat lost in thought.

She seemed to have found her sun.
