Synopsis
John should have been the strongest man alive. In a world ruled by magic systems and stat points, his numbers were off the charts: Strength, Agility, Endurance, Mana, and Intelligence—ten times higher than the average adult. He was born a prodigy destined to rise above all others. Except for one stat. Luck: -984,561,316 From the moment his system awakened, John’s life became a nightmare. Disasters erupted around him, monster waves appeared far beyond their usual strength, and every attempt at survival twisted into cruel misfortune. And every time he died, his cursed ability triggered: Return—resetting him to the moment of awakening. What should have been a second chance at life became an endless prison. No one believes his story, no one can help him, and even his overwhelming stats can’t overcome the absolute weight of negative luck. Yet, as he dies and returns again and again, John begins to exploit the only advantage he has—experience. Each death teaches him, each failure sharpens him. If fate insists on dragging him back, then he’ll carve his way forward through persistence, madness, and blood. An action-packed tale of tragedy, absurdity, and determination, where the strongest man alive is also the unluckiest. Can John ever break free from the cycle—or is he doomed to die forever?

Chapter 1 - One More Time!

Here's the English version of your text, kept faithful to the original tone and details:

"Again…!"

"I died again!!!" John screamed in the middle of the day for no apparent reason to the passersby. But behind this scream, there was a reason.

John, the regressor with the worst luck in this world—a world where superpowers and a strange magical system exist, built around six stats:

Strength

Agility

Endurance

Mana

Intelligence

Luck

All of John's stats were far above average. If a normal adult had a total stat score of 50 (about 10 points in each), John had ten times that number from the very start:

Strength: 100

Agility: 100

Endurance: 100

Mana: 100

Intelligence: 100

Except for Luck. His luck was something no one had ever heard of before—it was negative!

Luck: -984561316

The reason John screamed was that the moment his system awakened, a monstrous calamity appeared. This was his tenth time experiencing it.

All of this was thanks to his cursed luck and his special ability!!

John's luck was in the negatives.

But this ability had become more of a curse to John. After so many times, he only wanted to die for good.

He tried. And tried. And tried…

But it was useless.

He tried contacting the government, but there was no way to prove what he said. After all, who would believe a man claiming that he had died and regressor to life?

He tried fighting the monsters himself, but who could possibly fight them—even with stats ten times higher than average—right at the very moment of awakening?

He tried running away, but died again.

He was on the verge of breaking down now.

"Why is this happening to me?! My luck was always terrible before awakening, but I never imagined it would get even worse after it!"

"Fine, there's no other choice. I have to keep trying, even if it takes me hundreds or even thousands of times!!"

Anyone who had seen John minutes ago would have thought him insane, but his mental state stabilized quickly. That was thanks to his lifelong habit of adapting to terrible situations. Even before his awakening, he had gone through countless misfortunes, but always managed to return to normal. This was no different—just hundreds of times harder.

"Alright, what should I do now?" As soon as he said that, a level 10 monster lunged at him and killed him.

"Eleventh time. Again!" John muttered. "Fine. I need to get a weapon first and kill that level 10 monster that's about to appear in a few minutes."

He remembered there was a weapons shop nearby.

"Good. I bought a spear and a mana-powered gun. Each shot consumes 10 mana points." He chose the spear because it was easy to use and have a long reach, and the gun because it was simple and effective. Normally, these guns were only used by people with high mana reserves, or with mana crystals to replace consumption, but that wasn't an issue for John, who had 100 mana at level 1. That meant he could fire 10 shots. It didn't sound like much, but thanks to his intelligence stat, it was manageable.

For every 10 intelligence points, mana regenerated by 0.1 per second. With 100 intelligence, John regained 1 mana per second, allowing him to recover steadily.

"It's almost time," he said, and just as he did, another wave of monsters appeared.

This was a mid-tier wave, meaning monsters between level 10 and 30. But in this wave, 90% of the monsters were level 30—something unheard of. Of course, this was because of John's cursed luck.

"I need to kill the level 10 monsters first. They're my only chance to grow strong enough to handle level 20s, then 30s. My stats are higher than an average level 10 monster, and the level gap means I'll level up faster. A blessing in disguise…"

He spotted the same level 10 monster that had killed him before.

"This time I came prepared. Take this!!" He fired three mana shots.

Only one was aimed properly. The monster dodged easily, and John realized his mistake.

"Damn it! What kind of idiot screams while shooting?! And how could my aim be this bad?!"

Ding! You have acquired [Mana Gun Mastery Lv.1].

"Good! I still have 70 mana left!" He fired five more shots. Two landed, one was dodged, and another hit the monster's shoulder.

"Finally, I hit it!" But then, two level 30 monsters appeared, drawn by the noise.

"Damn! Why are they here? Was it the noise?! I only have two shots left… Sigh. Guess I'll have to try again… No, I should at least give it my all!!" He used his last two shots on the level 10 monster, one of which pierced its head and killed it instantly.

Level Up!

"Put them all in Strength." Even if his mana increased, it wouldn't matter—he could only fire three shots anyway. Though he had killed the monster, it had only been 10 seconds.

"Alright, let's try the spear." He swung at the level 30 ghoul, scratching it slightly.

Ding! You have acquired [Spear Mastery Lv.1].

"Damn! The spear's stuck in its muscles—I can't pull it out!" The ghoul grinned menacingly. That was the last thing John saw this time.

Activating [regressing].

"I'm back again… sigh… Wait, what's this?!" The system window appeared again, but this time, it was different. His level reset to 1, but his acquired skills—Mana Gun Mastery Lv.1 and Spear Mastery Lv.1—remained.

"This way, I can keep leveling my skills even if I die! I just need to master my techniques until I can beat this wave."

And so, John repeated what he had done before. He bought the mana gun and spear, fought the goblin, and this time tested his spear first.

"Damn! My spear skills are still weak—I got badly injured. But at least I killed it." He leveled up to 6 again, assigned all points to Strength, and, more importantly, his Spear Mastery improved as well.

"Normally, leveling up restores you to full health, but apparently not for me, thanks to my cursed luck. Anyway, let me check my status window."

"I need to stop the bleeding first, or I'll just die from blood loss."

Ding! You have acquired [Pain Tolerance Lv.1].

Ding! You have acquired [Regeneration Lv.1].

"Perfect! But I'm still in bad shape. I need to stop the bleeding." John tore strips of his clothes and used them as bandages.

"I need to find the next monster." He searched for more prey to gain strength.

Rustle! Rustle!

"Damn! A level 30 ghoul again!" The ghoul charged at John. He fired 10 mana shots—only three landed, barely scratching it. The ghoul grabbed John by the throat and grinned again. But this time, John stabbed its eye with the spear, forcing it to release him in pain.

"Arghhh!!"

"I hit its weak point this time! Alright, let's keep going!" But suddenly, the ghoul's body glowed red—it had entered Berserk mode.

"Berserk is supposed to be rare! Why now of all times?!" John stabbed again, but the ghoul grabbed the spear and pulled it out easily. Its eye had already regenerated in its frenzy.

"I need to run! Why does the world always turn against me?!"

Activating [regressing].

"Damn it! That ghoul was already tough, but now it even goes Berserk?! How am I supposed to beat it? … Sigh. At least my Mana Gun Mastery is level 2 now. My accuracy's a little better than before. Let's try again!"

And so, John killed the goblin again, taking fewer injuries this time. His Pain Tolerance skill leveled up, and once more, the ghoul appeared. But this time, John had a plan.

"Come on! I'm ready for you this time!" The ghoul charged, and John fired mana shots at its eye. Three hit its body, one struck its eye, making it scream in pain

"I have to get away from it now." John fled while the ghoul screamed. He ducked into a building to regenerate his mana. With his mana regeneration speed, John would need 1 minute and 40 seconds to restore his mana to full.

"This ghoul will go berserk again, but there's a silver lining — if it can't find me it will be completely exhausted after entering that state. I can use that to kill it and level up again."

Within two minutes John had recovered all his mana and began moving back toward the ghoul. He knew that if he couldn't beat this monster, he wouldn't have any chance to get anywhere else or fight any other monster with lower level, so he steeled himself to fight this ghoul once more.
