Gisele was also looking at Morin, and their eyes met. It was a gamble, a thrilling, adrenaline-fueled, life-or-death race!
Because in this sports car, which could go from 0 to 100 km/h in three seconds and 300 km/h in fourteen seconds, neither the driver nor the passenger was looking at the road ahead!
And they were on a city street!
The time passed quickly, but for the person in the car, feeling the immense G-force and vibrations, it felt like an eternity. In this situation, no one knew if the next second would mean a fatal crash!
Gisele's face started to stiffen, her eyes started to wander, and she couldn't help but glance to the right. Morin, however, maintained a calm smile.
"F**k, you're a madman!" Gisele was the first to give in. She quickly turned her head to look at the road ahead.
How much time had passed?
Less than ten seconds?
Gisele wasn't sure.
But in that time, how far had the car traveled?
Gisele didn't know either!
"Am I capable enough?" Morin said with a laugh, still not turning his head to look at the road.
"Yes! Yes!" Gisele said excitedly, pointing to the back of another car they were rapidly approaching. "Look at the road!"
"Hahaha!" Morin laughed, turning his head back. His hands returned to the steering wheel, and with a light turn, the car narrowly avoided the back of the car in front.
"Phew… Phew…" Gisele finally relaxed, sighing in relief. She then realized she was covered in a cold sweat. "You're a madman!"
"No, no, that's not being a madman. That's having confidence in my own abilities," Morin said with a laugh.
In fact, Morin wasn't lying.
With his current abilities, he couldn't see the road ahead and know what his car would face ten seconds later. His brain wasn't that powerful.
But…
He could code!
The [Intelligence] bonus from the system was all-encompassing, not just limited to learning ability, thinking ability, and logic.
Morin, of course, wouldn't waste his own advantages. He had taught himself some things.
He hadn't been messing with Roman earlier; he really had created an AI. Of course, this AI was a bit of a simpleton, a heartless blockhead.
It couldn't do fully intelligent autopilot, but it could drive in a straight line and avoid other cars within a certain distance.
Morin's response to this was, "What? Isn't an AI that I created with my own mind considered my own ability?"
There was absolutely no problem with that!
"You're still a madman!"
"If you say so."
Gisele was speechless. After a moment, she suddenly started to laugh. "Is this how you usually pick up women? Have you ever failed?"
"No," Morin said, shaking his head with a laugh. "I've only done this for you."
"F**k, you mean, this is the first time you've ever done this?" Gisele's eyes widened. She had thought Morin had done this many times before and that's why he was so bold!
"Yeah, what about it?" Morin said matter-of-factly.
"You're a madman!"
…
At the harbor.
"These things were a hassle to ship here and required a lot of paperwork, but luckily, the customs here are very friendly and helped me a lot," Morin said, leading Gisele to a luxury yacht. Morin's men were on the yacht, moving some parts from crates into a truck and then to a warehouse not far away.
"Let me guess," Gisele said. "Money?"
"Money can solve most problems," Morin didn't deny it. "I just rented a yacht and came here on vacation. The parts inside… were just a little something extra."
Gisele's face darkened.
Did she just get shown up?
But speaking of which, she couldn't help but think: it felt strange that a multi-millionaire was by her side, and they were going to rob another multi-millionaire. Something just didn't feel right.
Gisele's thoughts stopped when she followed Morin into the warehouse, opened a crate, and saw the "parts."
"You call these parts?" Gisele looked at the perfectly arranged, top-of-the-line parts in the crate and couldn't help but swallow. "I've never seen such a complete set of 'parts'!"
"Haha, as long as they're not assembled, they can be called parts, can't they?" Morin said with an eyebrow raised.
"That's a very good point," Gisele said, caressing the sleek car frame, as if she could already picture what the finished car would look like.
"What I say is naturally correct," Morin said, brandishing a wrench. "Let's get to work. Four cars… time is short."
"Where did you get that wrench?"
"I just took it from another crate," Morin said, swinging his Dimensional Wrench without changing his expression.
...
Meanwhile, Toretto and his crew had also started their operation.
Even though Morin hadn't finished preparing the cars yet, their small operation didn't require any fancy cars.
They needed to go to a location where Reyes was laundering money, tie up everyone there, collect the money, pour gasoline on it, and burn it all!
"Wait, burn it all?" Roman couldn't hold it in on the way there. Just thinking about what they were about to do made him feel restless, as if he had pins and needles in his butt. "Why? Aren't we supposed to be robbing the money?"
"We are robbing money, but we're going for the big money," Han said, chewing on a snack. "The places where Reyes stores his money are all over the city. There aren't enough of us to rob them one by one. That's unrealistic and could put us in danger."
"Exactly. So, we need a small strategy to make Reyes gather all that money in one place. That makes it a lot easier," O'Conner said. "And to make Reyes do that, we need to hide our real motive and make Reyes think…"
A little while later.
In the warehouse, Toretto held a gas can in one hand. In front of a thug who kept shouting, "You're all dead!" "Do you know where this is?" and "Do you know whose money you're robbing?" Toretto took off his mask and poured the gasoline over the pile of cash.
"Rob?" Toretto laughed. "No, we're not robbing."
"Go find your boss, find Reyes, and tell him who did all of this." Toretto tossed the gas can aside, took out a lighter, lit it, and threw it onto the pile of money.
The gasoline and paper mixed, and the flames shot up instantly. The pile of paper, which had a special meaning and high value, was now worthless and would soon turn to ashes.
"And," Toretto said as he and his crew walked out, his last words echoing in the warehouse. "This is just the beginning!"
