Izumi wakes up in a body completely different from his. At first glance he thinks it's all a dream — nothing more, nothing less — and tries to sleep again. But instead of his usual bed he feels something hard and unmoving behind his back. Izumi, who still can't fully open his eyes because of drowsiness, wipes his face gently with his hands and tries to feel his body again. It is no different from the first feeling; he does not know what happened to him during the night.
A void fills his head and heart, although he has no affection for his past life. He is nothing more than a failed human who spent most of his life shut in his room without talking to anyone, living on alcohol and cigarettes.
He is a forsaken child in his family because of his behavior. Because of this he has lost all trust in humans and in society. He tried to end his life several times but couldn't, because he was ultimately afraid of death — thinking it might cause a huge amount of pain. After more than ten attempts to commit suicide over his lifetime, he finally promised himself he wouldn't try again and went to sleep. But he woke up in a different body. Life truly is unpredictable: when I tried to stop committing suicide, my life came to an end — and I woke up in a child's body.
Looking closer, he seems to be in his early teens — about fifteen. He has a lean body with no muscle; you can clearly see his ribs from the outside. His long black hair hasn't been groomed for years and his shabby clothes make him look like a beggar.
Not knowing his identity, he tries to think harder. Suddenly a pain surges in his brain and he falls to the ground. Even in his past life he was not a fan of pain and had never experienced physical pain. For the first time in his life he goes through a pain he can't endure, and he falls unconscious.
