The Sunstrider fleet departed from Vashjir, transporting Nordrassil and the pioneering lords to Stormwind City.
The pioneering lords were ecstatic, as they all belonged to the elder families of the Kaldorei Empire. The foolish nobles still thought King Gale was rewarding them, after all, the Kaldorei had never lost a battle against the Trolls.
Evidently, they overlooked one thing: while the Kaldorei Empire had indeed never been defeated, the casualties were not zero.
Perhaps they didn't overlook it, but rather believed that with their private armies in front, they were safe in the rear. The Kaldorei Empire possessed incredibly advanced architectural technology, capable of constructing sturdy castles in a very short time, which could completely withstand Troll attacks.
The nobles gathered around Nordrassil, constantly praising King Gale and asking Nordrassil what kind of girl he liked.
The Earth Prince Tydasshid already had a girlfriend, Aisha Metri, Metri's daughter.
The two were childhood sweethearts, growing up together. For a thousand years, their relationship had been stable. The reason they hadn't married was because King Gale and Queen Maiev were not in the real world. Now that they were back, they would marry as soon as the state affairs were settled.
Both princesses also had their partners; Eileen and Inute were also about to marry, and Axi had her eyes on Drakos Moonrage, the son of Duke Moon Rage.
After Drakos returned Vashjir to Antaria, he went back to Darkmoon City. Later, he was ordered to occupy Utgarde Keep, and he had managed Utgarde Keep very well over the years.
Axi pursued a Faceless One into Howling Fjord and met Drakos. Drakos was not handsome, but he was very warm, like a spring breeze in the cold Northrend, which attracted Axi's attention.
Therefore, only Nordrassil remained single, becoming the target of the nobles' pursuit.
Nordrassil was still emotionally immature; he preferred to make brothers rather than find a girlfriend. Annoyed by the nobles, he had to seek out Salador, which finally rid him of them.
Salador had now become an Admiral, commanding all of the Empire's navy, and his authority grew daily. Those nobles who enjoyed feasting and revelry dared not approach Salador.
"You made a wise decision!" Salador said playfully, "Spending time with those nobles is the most boring thing in the world."
Nordrassil scratched his head, "I just can't stand them trying to introduce me to girlfriends."
"Haha--" Salador, like an elder, said, "The girls they introduce are quite pretty, and they all possess decent magical attainments."
"I prefer girls who face the enemy directly!"
Nordrassil muttered softly.
Salador raised an eyebrow; this child's view on choosing a partner was a bit like King Gale's!
As the fleet advanced, dark clouds suddenly gathered in the sky, and soon heavy rain began to fall. The wind and waves gradually grew stronger, with lightning and thunder surrounding the fleet.
Salador frowned and said in a deep voice, "Prepare for battle, there are Naga in the vicinity."
The ballistas on each warship turned their directions, preparing for defense. The Sentry Shooters prepared their Sea Monster Killers, ready to attack the moment any Naga dared to show their heads.
Indeed, ripples appeared on the sea surface ahead.
Salador raised his hand, hesitating to act.
At that moment, a group of Water Elementals burst through the sea surface and escaped. Seeing the fleet, they immediately approached.
Soon after, a group of Naga emerged from the sea, but upon seeing the fleet, they immediately dove back into the water, not daring to show their heads.
Nordrassil asked curiously, "Uncle Salador, why aren't we attacking?"
"Something's not right!" Salador explained, "Those Naga alone wouldn't cause such severe conditions."
Nordrassil looked up at the sky; there was indeed a lot of lightning.
Just then, there was movement on the sea surface again. A colossal figure emerged from the water; it was a giant Water Elemental. However, it was covered in many magical chains, as if the Naga wanted to capture it.
"Neptulon?" Salador was stunned for a moment, then shouted sharply, "Aim around Neptulon, fire!"
Hundreds of Sea Monster Killers covered Neptulon's left and right sides, instantly plunging into the sea. Many of the chains on Neptulon loosened, and soon the sea surface turned crimson with blood.
Neptulon shook his body with force, breaking free from all the magical chains. He quickly rushed towards the fleet, saying, "Elves, there's another big guy behind."
Nordrassil was stunned. Neptulon was already enormous, so how big must the 'big guy' he referred to be?
The big guy hadn't even emerged yet, but the waves caused by Neptulon alone made the warships sway uncontrollably. The Sunstrider was fine, but the escort frigates and cruisers following behind were not; their decks nearly dipped into the sea.
The nobles on board shrieked in terror; they had never faced death so closely before.
Salador roared, "Neptulon, do not approach the fleet any closer!"
Only then did Neptulon realize the fleet's predicament, and at the same time, he was deeply disappointed. This fleet couldn't even withstand the waves he created, so how could it possibly deal with that big guy?
"Quickly call for reinforcements, otherwise none of us will leave here alive."
Salador's face was grim. To call for reinforcements without even seeing the enemy, where would his dignity be?
However, the next second he regretted it.
Directly in front of the fleet, an island-like monster slowly surfaced. Its colossal eyes were like lighthouses, and its body, emerging from the sea, was even larger than Deathwing's. Two massive tentacles erupted from the seabed, binding Neptulon and dragging him back into the sea.
It was a gigantic, octopus-like monster.
The Naga returned to the surface, and seeing the sea monster had intimidated the fleet, they immediately seized the opportunity to attack.
"The Faceless Ones have given us an opportunity, attack!"
"Long live Akumai!!!"
The Naga charged, intending to defeat the fleet. After battling the Kaldorei Empire for over a thousand years, they had never won even once.
Salador's expression was grim; against such a colossal sea monster, the Sea Monster Killers were completely ineffective.
At this moment, Nordrassil said, "Uncle Salador, you deal with those Naga, this sea monster is mine!"
With that, he raised his Stormbreaker and leaped into the air. The surrounding lightning converged, transforming him into a 'thunder man' state. With lightning speed, he approached Akumai, and the Stormbreaker, carrying endless thunder, struck Akumai's body.
Boom—
Akumai trembled all over, clearly severely wounded. It violently shook its body, flinging Nordrassil away, then dragged Neptulon and quickly sank to the bottom of the sea.
The Naga had never expected that Akumai, who had just been so imposing and invincible, would be defeated in a single blow, leaving them within the range of the Sea Monster Killers.
"Attack!"
At Salador's command, the Sea Monster Killers immediately harvested the lives of the Naga. The Naga dared not fight head-on and quickly sank to the bottom of the sea.
