Chapter 1 - MIKHAIL: The Kang family

This was embarrassing.

How was I supposed to get married at my age? I was gonna hit 50 soon, and the lady that I was supposed to marry was almost half my age. This was Jackson's fault. The con had the biggest smile on his aged face. He was finally marrying me off to his friend. And right now, we were in the middle of the meeting with both families.

The 4th generation children's laughter filled the air, which made it harder to think. Jackson only wanted a grandson whom he already had. He could pick one of the kids of my cousins as the next leader of the family. I may have been the current family head, but I still could not run away from Jackson's expectations of an heir. I had tried to increase the family's wealth by billions. It was still not enough for Jackson since he loved his legacy so much, that was how the big wall of shame came to be. Men who were afraid to die. The Ivanov family leaders. And weird enough my face was one of them.

Well sad for them I was gay.

I was NOT going to use a KID as my closet. NEVER. "Mikhail!", I heard Jackson call out my name. Immediately snapping me from my train of thought. "Yes, father", I said as I tried to fix my eyes that were all blurry. I blinked a few times as I started to gain the proper vision of the entire room. The dark interior with high walls of a very specious living room came into my sight. I was sitting side by side with Jackson, and we were seated with our backs against the large, embarrassing wall. Facing the great guests from South Korea. It was a nice little family of 3, with father's friend, Mr. Kang. Accompanying his beautiful daughter Kang Seoyeon, who was going to be my fiancée. On his sister's right, whom they have stuffed in the middle, was his brother Kang–. I don't know… I still have not memorized all of their names. As a Russian, this was not easy. They were all dressed in yellow. Sadly, it could not save this embarrassment of a day. On the other side of the room were my family members. Let me be honest, I had no idea how many came.

"...at this rate, I just want a daughter-in-law, nothing much. He had 20 years to do it himself and still he failed", he blurted and soon the entire room busted into laughter. Good to know they could. Because I certainly could not. I have given up a lot of things to be a bachelor heir that was going to dedicate his entire life into serving my family. I could probably give up a lot more than that already. Just no marriage I stood up, slowly adjusting my suit like a gentleman. "I'm gonna go for a smoke."

I heard Jackson say something before I left, which I paid no mind to. I felt a little anxious as I exited the sitting area. I was no kid, but I felt like I fit in one of the explanations the kids made, about fear of being looked at. "Ahh fuck!", I murmured, running my hands through my hair. The sky was already painted in neon colors as the sun descended. I felt the harsh winter breeze hit my face. I sucked in a long breath that felt like blades against my nostrils.

I slowly rummaged through the pocket inside the black suit I was wearing to find a cigarette casing. It was a gold casing with small crystals on the outside. It was the life of the rich. I had to look fancy for absolutely no reason. That is why instead of cigarettes, I had sweets in it. They were lollypop for the grandchildren, but I liked them more than cigarettes. I slowly closed my eyes, leaning against the walls of the porch, while savoring the sweet caramel lollypop. The guards and other workers who were chatting nearby, the singing birds by the water fountains, the footsteps of the shadow that was looming down behind me. I was too lazy to open my eyes and see who it was, so I just ignored him. He must have been a guest because the spacing between his steps screamed he was taller than I. All the people who were taller than I were outside. So it was probably the young Kang. He was sitting a little weirdly on the sofa back inside.

"Can I help you Mr. Kang?", I murmured, sounding less articulate because of the candy that was now sticking to my teeth. "Not really…just a little favor", he continued walking until he was next to me. I opened my eyes before turning to look at him. Which was frustrating as fuck, because the man was taller than me. I was older than him. How could he? I propped up my head to look at him. His face was full of hair and a silver earring was peeking on his right ear. He had almost slightly dark red lips. Like blood on snow. He was a charming young man. He was probably looking at the old man who was eating candy like a kid. But it could not be helped as the sweet saliva started dripping from my mouth. The caramel was way too good. I closed my eyes again as the frustrating yet weirdly satisfying stickiness trapped my teeth over and over again until finally the chocolate at the centre bursted. I took out the cigarette casing before giving it to the boy that was standing beside me. The good thing with being blind was I could enjoy my sweets in peace with no one looking at me. He took the little box.

After what felt like paradise was finally coming to an end. I opened my eyes to see him still with the casing not used. "What, you don't like sweets?", I asked with my brows knitted. I dug my hands in my pockets before he could even answer. 'Got yah', I thought to myself before pulling my handkerchief from my blazer's pocket "I want the one you are eating", he announced. "Sorry kiddo, this is all that's left", I answered with a smile before peaking my tongue out for him to see the little chocolate that was on my tongue. It was probably bean size already.

In a whirlwind, I felt my body tense up as his lips landed on mine. He pried my mouth open before sending his tongue in. What the fuck! I felt something curl up in my stomach before my knees went numb. His hand that had started on my face was now holding on to my waist to prevent falling. I felt my cheeks boiling with whatever I was feeling. His hot tongue started searching inside my mouth. The unknown sensation was way too familiar to be ignored.

After what felt like forever, it finally stopped. I stared at the man in front of me with a blank face and my mouth agape. I had just lost to a kid by just standing there like a doll as he kissed the brains out of me. The mixed emotions did not last as anger proved stronger, I felt my face twitch as my jaw clenched in anger. The handkerchief was all crumpled up so much for Jay's work. "THE FUCK!!", I shouted at him as I pushed him trying to get out of his grip. Which he did not budge. "No wonder your face teems with so much joy when eating one of these. It is sweet", he said with his voice signaling joy or excitement of finally understanding something. "What?", I asked, confused. He just wanted candy, not that there was something inappropriate lingering. I felt my body rising temperature higher than it already was. I must have been crimson by then. "Oh, you do not remember me? The excruciating pain in my heart.", he complained dramatically.

"Yes, of course, how important would you happen to be for me…"

"Paramount", he cut me off before I could even continue. He continued. "Do you like me like this perhaps?", his voice slowly cracked before he removed the hand that was on my cheek to pull his hair up, revealing his gorgeous face.

Wait...

IMPOSSIBLE!

"SUN!?"
