Chapter 6 - Chapter 06

In a dark room, a man sat on a chair with his hands and feet tied. The man closed his eyes, looking helpless with several spots on his body injured by someone's actions.

Not long after, a woman entered, dressed in black and with sunglasses perched on her nose. Her eyes stared at the helpless man she had managed to contain, a smirk visible on her face.

"Miss, what if this man dies?"

"Don't let him die. My game is just beginning," said the woman, still with her mysterious smile. She walked over to the man sitting on the chair.

The woman lifted the man's chin while saying, "Jack, your name is good. But unfortunately your destiny is not, let's just say, this is a punishment for daring to play with me."

Yep, Jack was successfully kidnapped by a woman. I don't know what the woman was planning; she wouldn't easily let Jack go at this time. "But no matter what, you are mine. Don't expect to marry anyone, Jack." She continued stroking Jack's hair gently; the smile on her face looked terrible. The woman seemed to have a great grudge and obsession with Jack.

"Don't let Jack escape!" said the woman in a high tone.

After that, the woman left the place, leaving Jack still helpless. Unconsciously, Jack slowly opened his eyes; he vaguely heard all the woman's words. But Jack's body seemed unable to move or even open his eyes clearly. Not knowing what the woman had done to Jack until Jack couldn't control himself at all. Jack couldn't see the woman clearly.

"That voice? Do I recognize that voice?" Jack stammered, with his remaining strength.

From a considerable distance, the woman was still staring at Jack with a sad gaze. The woman smiled at Jack. "Jack, sorry. But you're mine," she said with a wide, horrible smile.

After a long drama, Ace returned to the office to do his work. Ace couldn't forget his responsibility as CEO of the company, even though he was a werewolf.

"Hans, give this document to the client, and also prepare for the meeting in the afternoon," Ace instructed his assistant.

Hans happily nodded his head as he said, "Yes, sir."

"One more." Ace again stopped Hans' steps, then said, "I don't want to be disturbed today. I'll finish the work early because I want to go home early."

Once again Hans nodded in understanding, then he walked out of Ace's room with documents and files in his hands.

"I have to go home early, so I can meet Chelsea," Ace said with a faint smile; his mate had managed to drive him crazy in such a short time.

Ace refocused on his work, but his concentration was interrupted when he heard a commotion outside his room. Without even looking, Ace knew it was Stella, the she-wolf who was always there for Ace. Yeah, Stella is a pack member and Ace's best friend.

Without waiting long, Stella managed to break into Ace's room. Of course, she had to pass Hans, who didn't let her in first. The beautiful girl with short hair smiled innocently; the brown-eyed woman walked up to Ace.

"Ace, why is your assistant so annoying? I just want to come in, but he forbids it as if I'm going to kill you." Stella babbled with annoyance; she sat on the chair in front of Ace casually.

While Ace just stared at Stella with a bemused look, then he said, "I could die if you keep bothering me."

Stella rolled her lazy eyeballs; she looked at Ace sharply. "I'm just here to make sure: are you really married to that weak human?" She asked seriously.

Ace looked silent for a moment, then nodded with a faint smile as he said, "Yes, of course. Because that woman is my mate."

"Ace! You're an Alpha; you're a strong werewolf, and your family is also an honorable werewolf." Stella began to express her opinion.

"So?" said Ace casually.

"That woman doesn't deserve you, Ace!" said Stella in a rather high tone.

Ace seemed to be annoyed with Stella, who was always nagging about unimportant things. "Stella, Chelsea is my mate. If you want to protest, just protest to the moon goddess. There must be a reason why Chelsea is my mate," he explained seriously.

"But you can reject that woman; that way she won't be your mate." Stella remained stubborn with her thoughts.

Ace closed his laptop, gave Stella a sharp look, and then said, "Stella, why are you running my life? I won't want to reject the mate I've been looking for."

"Ace, but...."

"Alpha Ace!"

Before Stella could continue, a werewolf who was a member of the Shadow pack suddenly entered Ace's room with lightning speed. That annoyed Stella, because she hadn't finished talking to Ace yet.

"Gerry! Can't you see that Ace and I are talking?" Stella complained to Gerry.

The beta pack Shadow replied, "Sorry Stella, but this is important."

"What is it?" This time Ace asked seriously, because Gerry was Shadow's beta pack, and if the man had met Ace. There must be something important.

"Sorry to interrupt Ace, but I brought some bad news here," Gerry said.

Ace frowned, and Stella was equally curious.

"Just tell me, what is it?"

"Vampires have been spotted in our pack's territory again, and it's made some of our pack members have to fight the vampires again," Gerry explained.

While Ace was silent for a moment, it was indeed bad news. Vampires and werewolves could never unite; they always fought in every situation if they met. Especially this time, the vampires were seen in the Shadow pack territory. Ace and the Shadow pack members had to investigate why the vampires had reappeared after a long time disappearing from the territory.

"Gather all the Shadow pack members; I want to discuss this with them. We have to find out why the vampires appeared in this area again after losing the war back then," Ace said with a serious look on his face, his hands clenched into fists to hold back his emotions.

Because, in the past, the Shadow pack had fought with the vampires and had an agreement. If the vampires lost, they were not allowed to appear in the area again. It was the werewolf who won, but Ace was surprised that the vampires broke the agreement.

"Damn vampires, how dare they break the treaty," Ace continued, his eyes turning instantly into those of a typical wolf.
