Chapter 9 - 9

These guys, not a single one of them is any good."

Flames flickered in Andrew's eyes, and the directors' souls were instantly ignited by Hellfire.

This was the Spirit of Vengeance's Eye of Judgment.

"No!"

All the directors cried out in terror and pain, but just then, the flames vanished, and the directors slumped onto their seats, drenched in sweat, their eyes filled with fear, even their muscles twitching.

Susan was dumbfounded, completely unable to understand why this was happening—because of her position, she couldn't see the flames in Andrew's eyes.

Andrew stood up and instructed, "Howard, sign the contracts with them. Buy their company shares at market price. These shares will be registered under your and Feng Mo's names.

Additionally, Doom Group will be renamed Rebirth Group. You handle the specific procedures. Susan, prepare to take over the company. I don't want any chaos."

Howard, who was also a lawyer, nodded and said, "Yes, Boss."

Susan asked hesitantly, "Mr. Wang, they don't seem to have agreed to sell their shares?"

"Agree, I agree to everything. I'll sign the contract immediately and gift the shares to Mr. Wang for free."

Ned cried out in terror. He only wanted to get as far away from Andrew as possible. The other directors were the same. Their hearts were filled with fear. In the future, let alone going against Andrew, hearing the name Andrew Wang would make them tremble all over.

Not only that, the previous scene would torment them forever, accompanying them throughout their lives, unless they were willing to atone for their mistakes.

"Gift for free? You make me sound like a bandit."

Andrew was quite displeased: "I won't rob you. I will buy the shares you hold at market price. As for the money to buy the shares, you will give me an interest-free loan."

Howard complained, "How is that any different from robbing?"

"When civilized people rob, how can it be called robbing? This is called righteous sanction."

Andrew shrugged and turned to leave the office—he had an appointment with the owner of The Daily Bugle to discuss the acquisition.

"To gain more souls, I need a media group of my own. Otherwise, how will the public know the truth? If they don't know the truth, how will they fear? If they don't fear, how will they sell their souls to me?"

Andrew thought to himself, "I wonder what kind of Spider-Man exists in this world? Tobey Spider-Man? The Amazing Spider-Man? Or perhaps, the saintly Spider-Man who caused Aunt May's death?"

While Andrew was negotiating the acquisition price with The Daily Bugle's owner, someone else was discussing him. This was normal, after all, he didn't know how to keep a low profile at all.

"Andrew Wang, who appeared in Las Vegas over half a month ago, won every gamble without a single loss. The various casinos lost at least hundreds of millions of dollars to him."

A white man with thinning hair reported to a one-eyed, bald black man on the computer screen: "Many people went to trouble him, but they all disappeared, likely having been killed.

More than ten days ago, Dr. Doom of Doom Group gifted shares to Andrew Wang. Additionally, at noon today, all the directors of Doom Group sold their shares to him at market price.

We suspect this person is an Ability User with hypnotic abilities."

"Why an Ability User and not a Mutant?"

S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury asked. When he mentioned Mutant, his tone was clearly not good. The reason was simple: he couldn't control Mutant, which meant the world wasn't safe.

"He stayed in Las Vegas for many days. Las Vegas is the Hellfire Club's territory. If he were a Mutant, the Black King would definitely send people to recruit him."

Level Seven Agent Phil Coulson said. The three major Mutant forces were the moderate X-Men, the extremist Brotherhood, and the elite Hellfire Club—in this world, the Hellfire Club still existed.

"That makes sense."

Nick Fury thought for a moment and said, "I'll be busy with another matter recently. This Andrew Wang is yours to handle. Collect evidence, send people to understand his Ability, and then apprehend him."

Andrew was a billionaire, after all, so action could only be taken with evidence. If he were just an ordinary person, Nick Fury would definitely have him arrested directly for questioning.

Coulson said, "His Ability is very special. I request Melinda to help me."

"Melinda is busy. Let Natasha go. She's currently in New York watching a basketball game."

Nick Fury said, "After Andrew Wang is captured, transfer his funds into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret account, not the public account."

Coulson knew what Nick Fury meant. He hesitated, then nodded and said, "Understood."

At night, under the slightly dim streetlights, Andrew walked Susan home, who had been working overtime until now—the acquisition of The Daily Bugle was almost finalized, but there was a lot of work to do, as it was a large newspaper agency, even with its own TV station.

The Daily Bugle's owner initially didn't want to sell, but he had no choice; Andrew offered too much.

"Speaking of which, why should I, a Demon King, work overtime? This is unscientific!"

Andrew secretly complained. Once the initial preparatory work was done, he had to find someone to help him control Rebirth Group. He was here to enjoy himself, not to work.

At this moment, Andrew noticed Susan beside him hesitating to speak. He smiled and asked, "Is there something you want to ask me?"

"Yes."

Susan nodded and asked, "Mr. Wang, this might be a bit presumptuous, but are you a Mutant?"

"Just call me Andrew. I know what you mean. I'm not a Mutant. Doom gave me the shares because I made a deal with him, a completely fair deal."

Andrew said, "As for those directors, Susan, have you heard of the legend of the Ghost Rider in Texas?"

Susan said, "I've heard a little. It's like a cowboy burning with flames, searching for villains to judge."

"The Ghost Rider was initially an angel of God…"

Andrew recounted the story of the Ghost Rider, then continued, "If I told you that I am the Ghost Rider, and the reason those directors were so afraid was because I used the Eye of Judgment to intimidate them, would you believe me?"

Susan smiled and said, "Andrew, I'm a Scientist, though I think dating a Ghost Rider sounds pretty cool."

Andrew smiled and said, "I ordered a Harley motorcycle online. Once it arrives, I'll take you for a ride. Then, you might change your mind."

Susan said, "I might not have time. My boss recently gave me a lot of work. On my first day working for him, I worked overtime until now."

"Your boss is really awful, uh, is your boss me?"

Andrew said in a feigned manner, and both of them laughed. At this moment, they saw a few Tattooed Men in front beating two raggedly dressed homeless people.

Susan, with a strong sense of justice, immediately stepped forward and shouted, "Stop it! What are you doing?"

One Tattooed Man turned his head, looking at Susan with Greed, and said, "We're driving away monsters. Is there a problem?"

"Monsters?"

Andrew and Susan were both startled. They looked down and saw that one of the homeless people had an unusually large head, covered in bulging veins, looking particularly hideous, while the other had fish scales on his face, which was very strange.

When the two homeless people saw Andrew and Susan looking at them, they quickly pulled on their cloaks and tried to get up and run away, but the Tattooed Men relentlessly kicked them back to the ground.
