Stop, or don't blame me for calling the police."
Susan threatened with her phone, her words angered the Tattooed Men, who menacingly surrounded her. Susan was startled and couldn't help but retreat. At this moment, a tall figure appeared in front of her.
"Scram."
Andrew shouted. The Tattooed Men suddenly filled with fear, turned around in a panic, and fled. One of them, due to excessive fright, even fell to the ground with a thud.
Susan blinked. Her boss's aura was too strong, wasn't it? Speaking of which, being by her boss's side really made her feel safe.
Seeing the Tattooed Men flee, the two homeless men breathed a sigh of relief. They got up, bowed gratefully to Andrew and Susan, and ran towards a dark alley nearby.
Susan sighed, "Mutant are pitiful, and those Mutant with failed mutations are even more pitiful."
Andrew was surprised, "Mutant with failed mutations?"
"Yes, not every Mutant can successfully awaken their powers. About 20% of Mutant have failed mutations, possessing major defects and weak abilities. For example, those two just now, their official scientific name is Epsilon-level Mutant."
Susan nodded. She said, "In recent years, the lives of Mutant have become increasingly difficult. Other Mutant are fine, they can hide themselves, but these Mutant with failed mutations are miserable. Many have been driven out of their homes, lost their jobs, and become homeless."
Thinking of something, Susan explained, "I once studied Mutant genes, so I know a bit more."
"20% of Mutant with failed mutations?"
Andrew's eyes lit up. Whose souls are easiest to trick? Ahem, easiest to contract? Naturally, it's those who have no hope, and all those failed Mutant have no hope.
"I remember there's a Mutant who can disable the X-gene. Oh, right, I happen to have a Mutant expert in my Rebirth Hell."
Andrew thought to himself, those failed Mutant would definitely be willing to trade their souls after death for a return to normalcy. By then, he might be counting souls until his hands cramp.
There are quite a lot of Mutant in this world.
...
Rebirth Hell.
In just over half a month, Rebirth Hell had completely transformed. Factories sprang up, and a large number of Demon Lords, corrupted by demonic energy, were working overtime under the command of a dwarf to construct the factories.
These factories included robot manufacturing plants, large steel mills powered by volcanoes, and various parts factories. Clearly, Andrew intended to manufacture robots.
The biggest credit for the rapid construction of the factories went to Andrew himself. He had control over this Rebirth Hell, making factory construction incredibly easy. However, he couldn't manufacture various precision instruments and needed to purchase them from Earth or have the dwarf and his people manufacture them personally.
"Too few workers, too slow efficiency."
Andrew (Demon Lord Power) shook his head. Currently, Rebirth Hell only had a few hundred Demon Lords, which he had brought from Las Vegas, far from enough.
"Boss, you called for me?"
The dwarf, in ghost form, floated in front of Andrew and respectfully asked. His name was Bolivar Trask, a Scientist. He believed that Mutant would replace humans in the future, so he developed Sentinel Robots to exterminate Mutant.
To achieve successful research, this dwarf experimented on Mutant. When Mystique Raven learned of this, she shot him dead at a meeting.
Trask had made a deal with Mephisto before he died, so his soul was collected by Mephisto and now fell into Andrew's hands.
Andrew asked, "I want to ask, do you have a way to strip the X-gene from a Mutant's body?"
"Mutant?"
Trask's eyes lit up. "Oh, now you're talking!" he said, "Boss, stripping the X-gene is very difficult. It's not an external object. The best way is to kill all Mutant, leaving none behind."
Andrew was speechless. He asked, "You hate Mutant very much?"
Trask righteously said, "No, everything I do is for humanity not to be replaced by Mutant."
"That's disgusting."
Andrew snorted and said, "There's a Mutant called Leech who can nullify the abilities of nearby Mutant, but it's not permanent; they recover once they leave his side. If I give you his blood, can you research a method to completely eliminate the X-gene?"
Leech was the little boy in X-Men 3. Worthington Industries used his blood to research a Mutant cure, but it was only short-term effective—America hadn't verified the cure beforehand, of course. For them, this was standard procedure.
Currently, Worthington Industries probably hadn't researched the cure yet. Of course, even if they did, Andrew wouldn't use a short-term agent to trick souls; he didn't have Mephisto's lack of bottom line.
"There's such a Mutant?"
Trask's eyes lit up. He thought for a moment and said, "Permanent elimination is unlikely, but I can design a suppressor that, when worn, suppresses the X-gene, turning Mutant back into normal humans."
Andrew stroked his chin and asked, "A suppressor? Do you think those Mutant with failed mutations, living in unbearable pain, would be willing to exchange their souls after death for such a suppressor?"
Trask then understood Andrew's idea. He said, "Quite a few people should be willing. Uh, trading high-tech for human souls, why does it feel strange?"
"Because the style is off."
Andrew complained. He said, "The suppressor has quite a few problems. More importantly, it could be cracked by others, and we can't possibly register a patent."
"A chip could replace the suppressor, but it would take a significant amount of time."
Trask said, "Boss, can't your Demon Lord Power suppress the X-gene?"
"I can use a curse to make them lose their Mutant abilities, but releasing a large-scale, permanently effective curse, even for me, is a bit difficult."
At this point, Andrew suddenly had an idea: "Wait, if there's a special medium, my consumption will be greatly reduced."
Trask asked, "Special medium?"
"Yes, Trask, can you extract and mass-replicate the factor in Leech's blood that nullifies Mutant abilities? Those factors can serve as my medium."
Andrew excitedly said, "Using those factors to cast a curse can easily suppress the Mutant' X-gene."
"No problem, but it will require some time and the appropriate instruments."
Trask answered confidently. Although he was from a past era, his intelligence was not outdated.
Decades ago, Trask had already developed a portable instrument that could identify Mutant. After his death, this technology was directly lost, and those Scientists have not been able to replicate it successfully to this day.
"Very good. I'll have someone get Leech's blood and the instruments. You start your research as soon as possible. Trading curses for souls, now that's a normal style."
Andrew laughed. The path of combining technology and magic seems promising. In fact, Asgard follows this route.
Andrew secretly thought, "I possess quite a few Hell runes. I need to study them carefully, as this can also enhance my strength."
