I heard a car pulling up minutes after I had sent our location. Ade Golding, a year older than his brother and I. Was a certified overachiever such as myself the only problem was that, even though I hate to admit he was better than me at it.
"Get in." I dragged Dal inside, the dude didn't even try to help while I was struggling.
"Hi." I said avoiding eye contact. Things between us were always awkward for some reason. "Hey." He smirked seemingly a lot more happy than when he thought it was Dal on the phone, probably cause he was fully awake now.
We were silent for a couple of second as a result of non of us having anything to say.
Then I remembered I had his passed out brother's phone so I gave it to him to give to Dal when he woke up.
"Here, hand this over to Dal when his up."
"Please would be nice."
I grunted my teeth, I opened my mouth to say it, then closed it shout because I wasn't going to do that. Ade chuckled while still keeping his eyes on the road.
"Still can't say that one little word, can't ya'. Don't worry I was just joking." Ade reached out his hand and I placed the phone in his hand.
"By the way. Why didn't you just call me with your phone."
"Well I don't exactly have your number and... and I forgot my phone at home." I said.
"Why don't you have my number, huh?"
"I don't know. I mean we never got a chance to exchange numbers."
"Here." Ade handed me a piece of paper that he had just written down while driving and the handwriting still looked perfect. I how?. I examined the number a little happy, but than I noticed that this wasn't the same number that I dialed in Dal's phone.
"This doesn't look like the number on Dal's phone."
He stayed quiet for a moment.
"Oh that... I'm gonna change my number soon, so it's best if you have this one, little bird."
I forgot everything else he said only thinking about the nickname. He started calling me that right now me and Dal became friends. If I'm being honest I think it's just because he doesn't know my name.
"It's Knox." I lowered my eyelids.
"I know." He nods.
"Then stop calling me little bird."
"I'd rather die then do that."
For the rest of the drive we kept quiet, so I started to feel sleepy so I closed my eyes for a second. I thought I only needed to blink a couple of times but I eventually lost my vision as a result of being tired.
"Hey...hey you awake." I felt my body being shaken but I didn't want to wake up.
"Come on let's go. I have already carried Dal inside." Ade explained.
"Agh..." I remained still.
"Ok just remember you asked for this." I felt Ade caring me over his shoulder inside as I lost consciousness from sleepiness. If I was honest with myself I was really enjoying this.

When I eventually woke up in the morning, although I hadn't drunk my head was pounding. I opened my eyelids. I was in a room which was definitely not mine nor was it Dal's room. Dal's more chaotic than this room.
Oh SHIT.
I'm in Ade's bedroom.
My nose caught a faint whiff of a beautiful scent and follow it to his pillow. I normally didn't like the smells of cologne because I easily get head aches if I smelled them along with something I don't like. I smelled it a little more trying to guess what brand it was, I was definitely gonna buy it if was the last thing I did.
As I was lost my trance I felt someone staring at me from behind so I jerked my head and there standing there was none other than ade. He was leaning against the door frame with his hands folded in one leg up.
"You need a little more time alone." He smirked and I felt my entire face go as red as a tomato.
"I-I... I wasn't...ah..." I tried to explain but no words came out right and it just made everything I said sound worse than it actually was. I felt like an idiot at that moment and I just wanted to bury myself beneath the earth and die, never to be seen by any freaking human ever again.
"No need to explain."
With that he left leaving me to be more embarrassed of myself than I could ever be.
Having had enough of punishing myself with overthinking, I lifted myself up then headed downstairs.
"Hey man, where were you?. I got up and I didn't see you." For someone who would be drinking last night Dal was smiling more than anyone Who had drinking that much should have.
"Did you go for a run like you usually do in the morning?"
"Umm...Yeah I went for a run...definitely went for a run." I faked a laugh and made finger guns.
Dal look at strangely but he didn't seem to mind and seemingly forgot about it later that second by shrugging it off. He offered me his bowl of cereal which I gladly took because I was hungry and would not refuse food no matter what at this moment.
I wasn't worried about my parents, I knew they would think I went out to the library to study hard because that's what they expected of me.
After we were done eating whatever was in the fridge we went upstairs to Dal's room.
Dal went ahead of me and I followed but I suddenly had the urge to use the bathroom.
"Yo, I'll meet you there." I said.
"Okay."
He nods.
Using my memory of the countless times I've been here, I found my way to the bathroom.
The door was unlocked so I entered. I head to the sink first to splash my face. It was hot these days so I felt a little dizzy.
I heard a light sound coming from behind me. It wasn't the door opening but something self. I gazed back expecting Dal thinking maybe he had also needed to use the bathroom.
My eyes flinched when I saw who the person standing directly there was.
It was Ade.
Again standing there but this time he wasn't clothed.
I saw everything.
My face felt hot as I too stood there, frozen. I ran away quickly before he could react.
"I'm sorry."
