Chapter 1—The Bastard of the Storm
The sound of an electrocardiogram echoed in the darkness.
Beep. Beep. Beep…
Victor Moore's heart stopped at the age of 27. A sudden arrhythmia, a moment of pain, and then… nothing.
Or so he thought.
Opening his eyes, he found himself suspended in an infinite void. There was no up or down, no light or shadow… only him. In front of Victor, a man in white robes, silver hair, and eyes that seemed to contain entire galaxies smiled.
"You're finally here," the entity said.
Victor swallowed.
"Am I dead?"
"Yes and no. You have died in your world, but not in all of them. Consider this… a second chance."
Suddenly, space was filled with millions of golden wheels spinning at impossible speeds. Each wheel contained names, powers, universes… infinite possibilities.
I will send you to a world where blood dictates destiny, where steel writes the laws, and where fire breeds dragons. A place you know... but don't yet understand.
"Game of Thrones?" Victor whispered, his eyes wide open.
Exactly. And you will have a new identity: Ronnel Storm, bastard of Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Caron, younger sister of the future Lord Caron.
Victor blinked, incredulous.
A bastard...?
A special one. You will have the blood of the First Men, inheriting their strength, stamina, height, connection to nature, and the gift of shapeshifters. But also, thanks to your father, you will carry a Valyrian spark: impossible beauty, resistance to fire, and subtle pyrokinesis.
Before he could process it, a colossal wheel emerged from the void. Its spokes were composed of entire universes.
"Now, luck will dictate the rest," smiled the omnipotent being. This wheel will decide thirteen character templates whose skills and knowledge you will acquire.
The wheel spun. Thousands of lights danced. And one by one, the templates were revealed:
1. Sheldon Lee Cooper: Extreme intellect and eidetic memory.
2. Ted Mosby: Creativity, charisma, and architectural vision.
3. John H. Watson: Medicine, analysis, and military experience.
4. Jason Bourne: Espionage, lethal combat, and survival.
5. Raizo: Ninja mastery, stealth, and silent assassination.
6. Yoriichi Tsugikuni: Sun breathing, superhuman senses, and unparalleled sword technique.
7. Gregory House: Impossible medical diagnosis, twisted logic, and lethal sarcasm.
8. Newt Scamander: In-depth knowledge of magical creatures and partial control over them.
9. Hector Barbossa – Naval genius, illicit trade, and pirate strategy.
10. Daniel Park – Monstrous physical strength, superhuman reflexes, and brutal endurance.
11. Harvey Specter – Manipulation, diplomacy, and legal genius.
12. Michael Corvin – Hybrid genetics; capable of creating a new species if bitten.
13. Patrick Jane – Psychological manipulation, reading body language, and indirect mind control.
Victor felt a torrent of memories, skills, and knowledge invade his mind. It was as if thirteen lives had been grafted onto his soul.
The omnipotent being spoke for the last time:
"You were reborn in the year 278 AC, twenty years before Jon Arryn's death. You will live amidst intrigue, war, dragons, and betrayal." You will survive... or be devoured by the game. But remember, Victor…
The creature's eyes shone like a dying sun.
"When you play the Game of Thrones, you live or you die."
And then, everything went dark.
---
When he opened his eyes again, the smell of salt, sweat, and blood hit him. He was no more than three months old, but his mind was that of a man in his twenties. He was at Storm's End, home of the Baratheons.
Robert, still young and not far from his coronation, barely knew of his existence. Ronnel was just another recognized bastard… but no one suspected who or what he really was.
Robert's rebellion hadn't yet begun, but the tension in Westeros was palpable. The Targaryens ruled with a dragon's fist, and the mad King Aerys II was already showing signs of paranoia.
Ronnel knew that, with his combination of powers, skills, and modern knowledge, he could change the fate of Westeros… or conquer the entire continent. But to achieve this, he had to be patient.
He had to weave his web, find allies, amass wealth, and prepare for the coming storm.
The wheel of fate had already turned.
And Ronnel Storm, Robert Baratheon's bastard, was ready to break it.
