"Host 234908 has entered position," said Diem Dai Bang.
Inside the spiritual sea, everything was silent and pitch black.
No one responded.
Diem Dai Bang, doubting his own ears, raised his voice again:
"Host 234908 has entered position!"
Still, there was no reply.
Damn it.
His eyes widened.
Where the hell was his system??
As a veteran host of the Plot Bureau, Diem Dai Bang's daily job was to travel across different story worlds, fixing unfinished narratives, confusing endings, or derailed plots, bringing them back onto their original track.
This time, his mission was to play the ultimate villain in an old-fashioned Omegaverse tragic BL romance called The Agony of the Holy Son — the role of the mad tyrant, Nero.
…In truth, as a straight man, he was rather uneasy about playing a BL character. But the role of a tyrant was irresistibly tempting, always a top choice of the Plot Bureau. Compared to the pathetic cannon-fodder roles who barely survived by clinging to the protagonists, playing a villainous tyrant was pure satisfaction. Hosts could abandon all restraint, do whatever they pleased, and wreak havoc to their heart's content — until the very last moment of their lives.
"System, I've already filed a complaint against you."
Although Diem Dai Bang grumbled, the system still didn't appear. Left with no choice, he reread the original mission text once again.
The protagonist — the uke in this BL Omegaverse story — was none other than the Holy Son of the St. Lophis Empire. He bore every hallmark of a tragic romance lead: breathtakingly beautiful, divinely pure, the untouchable flower of the Empire.
From birth, he lived in seclusion at the Holy Temple of the Delphi system, raised under the strictest ecclesiastical discipline. He was taught never to harbor any personal desires, to forever dedicate his body and soul in purity, praying for the people of the Empire.
The Holy Son obeyed these teachings, performing sacred rituals with utmost sincerity.
But the "divine servants" under him could not endure it. They only wished to press him down upon the Holy Altar and defile him.
Thus, in the early part of the story, several of the most "exceptional deities" broke through the Holy Temple's defenses, lured the innocent Holy Son, and step by step dragged him into the abyss of desire…
Diem Dai Bang slapped his own mouth as he read, struggling to keep his mind clear amidst the novel's lurid descriptions.
In the original work, there were four most popular seme characters:
The Chief Wolf Knight under tyrant Nero
The Galactic Empire's War God Marshal
The number one Military King of the strongest legion
The Empire's Prime Minister with an unparalleled appearance
Each was a renowned figure of power and glory — yet for some reason, the moment they saw the Holy Son, they lost all composure.
And the most controversial villain in the early arc of The Agony of the Holy Son was none other than the secular ruler of the Galactic Empire — Emperor Nero Augustus Caesis.
As a child, Nero's entire family had been slaughtered. During his flight, his legs were crippled.
Thus, in the original work, his personality was extremely unlikeable. He was gloomy, twisted, obsessively controlling, and consumed by paranoia, believing firmly that:
"The Holy Son is absolutely no ordinary person; one day, he will bring disaster to the Empire."
This strange obsession even reached its peak after Nero differentiated as an Alpha.
From then on, he used every cruel means imaginable to torment and coerce the Holy Son, imprisoning and interrogating the clergymen who accompanied him. By the midpoint of the novel, Nero had become a black sheep that readers unanimously demanded to be killed off early.
