Chapter 3 - chapter two

As she looked around she seen her friend Ronan and headed to where he was to see if maybe he knew what was going on with the town today. "Ronan buddy how are yah? What is with all the craziness this morning I've never seen so many cops before?" "Didn't you watch the news this morning, there was a murder in the alley way, way back behind the old Annister theatre!" the theatre had burnt down two years before. There was a malfunction in the gas piping and something had burst and it went up in flames. The firemen couldn't put it out. There were at least 20 people in it the night it went up in flames almost all of them made it out except for 3 people it was a horribly sad night and continued on the sadness for months after. Brookshire was such a small town there was never really anything crazy or out of the ordinary that happened in the town. Everyone knew everyone and life there was pretty well repetitive.

"A murder? Here? Seriously do they know who did it?" Amelia spilled out so fast the words overlapped each other." "No they don't all anyone knows right now is that it was Bill Herrington. They said his neck was gashed open and died from massive blood loss. But the crazy thing is that there wasn't that much blood around him so they don't understand how it was from blood loss." Amelia moved her way as close as she could get through the crowd to see towards the ally. Bill Herrington was a really good man, he worked at the local auto repair shop. He was always a happy perky kind of guy. There wasn't much she could see there were too many police officers and crowds of people. Poor bill, he had such a lovely family and such a lovely presence it was such a shame what happened to him and the changes that effected who he was, he may have become a drunk but he never did anyone harm. He was just a very depressed lonely man ever since his wife and son died in the theatre. He was the only one who survived and blamed himself for it all. Amelia shook her head and headed the rest of the way to work.

When she got to the book store she unlocked as usual, went inside and began turning on all the lights and prepping the cash register for the very few customers she knew she would have. However on a tragic day like today she knew there would be next to no one. She took advantage of the empty store as she usually would when it was empty and headed up the stairs to her favorite book section fantasy. She scanned through the isle looking for a book to sit down and read, considering she had read them all it never really matter which she picked. "Fairies yes, I think I will read a book about fairies today!" she pulled over her favorite bean bag chair and plopped down behind the checkout counter and went nose deep into her book as fast as she could

"Sheri are you really starting drama as soon as we enter this town? This happens every time our line moves to a new place you just can't wait to stir up ruckus. This has to stop we have had to move so many times and you've led the hunters straight our way, you carry no suttlety, you leave us right there in the open." a tall dark skinned man stood staring into the shadows with wearisome eyes. "Denarius, honestly we are vampires, and not your typical every day vampires, we are the oldest of the old, we are the strongest of the strong in every single aspect why must we hide? I mean really we could rip up any hunter that came our way if we worked together and we became as one. It is not my fault these stupid weak vampires get themselves caught. They aren't strong like us and if we lose a few weaklings along the way I say its all the more better for us."

Denarius stepped closer to the shadows and peered in "Sheri I'm not going to say this anymore there is no us there never was any us, however this line is mine, one I created and I am responsible for them. You have no say, command over them and for the thousandth time if you're not interested in what I am trying to do and accomplish then you need to find somewhere else to go."

As moments of silence started to slip by a short very skinny woman walked out of the shadows as twists and twirls of the shadows essence danced around her body and face wrapping around her then revealing her. She was short, skinny had shoulder length black hair and bangs that just reached her eyebrows. Her eyes were small compared to her face but they were very dark with a ruby tone to them. Though Sheri was very skinny she had curves most men would die to put their hands on. One very distinct feature that she bared was a tattoo, it extended from the tips of her fingers all the way up her arm to her entire shoulder and part of her chest. It was basic black tribal work lines intertwining everywhere and spikes on every inch of every line. By the time they reached her chest it became extravagant. It was a hand with long sharp nails that dug into the skin as if it were reaching into her heart.

"Denarius when are you going to realize that you and I are a match, we are the match. We don't need to make more vampires. We have each other and we can take on whom or whatever comes our way and spend our eternity going where ever we want doing as we please." Sheri leaned back into denarius's chest, pressing herself so tightly into him and caressing her body into his. Denarius took her hand and swirled her so hard and fast she was thrown to the ground. Sheri relayed from the ground directly back into denarius's face bearing her teeth and scowling at him. Denarius on the other hand didn't flinch even the skin surrounding his eyes. "One day denarius you will see the right path" Sheri pulled her jaw and glare back and disappeared into the shadows swarming around her and then entirely consuming her.

Denarius slouched back into his chair, throwing his shirt off displaying his muscular tones and the scars that seemed to overwhelm his chest. His eyes just like every other vampire were small for his face but beautiful in such unique ways, they were ruby red and pulsating from the fact he had not fed in days. Unlike the vast majority of vampires he had come to know, change and welcome into the dark world. His skin tone was of deep bronze which was unusual for any vampire. He had a diamond piercing in his left ear, a lip piercing and two single tattoos. The tattoos were shackles that were placed around each wrist.
