Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Talk to Coulson and go to town

"So, please tell me, Noah, what you know."

In a room at the temporary Base, the three of them sat around a table. Noah had already retracted his battle armor into his belt and changed back into normal clothes.

"Coulson, have you ever heard of Norse mythology?" Noah rested his arm on the table, propped his chin with his left hand, leaned slightly forward, and glanced at the two of them.

"Norse mythology? I know a bit, but those are just fabricated myths." Coulson and Hawkeye exchanged glances, puzzled by Noah's question.

At this time, there was no one else in the room besides the three of them. After all, Coulson felt that such confidential matters needed to be kept secret, and only people he trusted could know about them.

Noah felt it was time to start talking about the Thor storyline.

So, he instructed Lissandra to find him some information on Norse mythology. Noah pressed a button on his belt, and Nano Robots poured out, forming a small mechanical device. Noah placed it on the table, and then a beam of light shot out from the top of the device.

The function of this device was projection. Noah casually scrolled through the projection, found the required information, and then looked at the two again, motioning for them to look at the information on the screen.

"In Norse mythology, a giant cosmic tree grows in the primordial void." The projection began to change, displaying a huge tree standing horizontally in the cosmic void.

"Nine Worlds coexist around the cosmic tree. They are: Asgard (Thor's homeland), Vanaheim, Alfheim, Midgard (Earth), Jotunheim (Frost Giant), Svartalfheim, Helheim, and Muspelheim." In the projection, nine Planets circled the World Tree, and the sphere of Midgard was exactly the familiar shape of Earth to the three of them.

"So, what's the connection between this hammer and Norse mythology? You're not going to say this is Mjolnir, are you?" Barton, who was beside him, looked at the image on the projection device and couldn't help but ask.

"Yes, this is Mjolnir." Noah constructed an image of a blonde Norse man, burly but faceless, holding a hammer that pulsed with blue lightning.

"watt? Are you serious? Is this really Mjolnir? Then where's Thor? Why did he throw away his weapon?" Coulson's expression was somewhat shocked when he heard Noah's words. After all, the other party actually said this was truly Mjolnir, so did the myths really exist?

"I don't know. Maybe he'll appear later? Or maybe not." Noah shrugged. Thor should be in the nearby small town right now, and he would come here tonight to try and retrieve his hammer.

"Then will this Thor do anything to threaten humans, and are their gods, like Odin, truly real?" Coulson quickly pressed for answers. After all, suddenly learning that a mythological race of gods existed was quite shocking, and he didn't know if this race of gods would pose a threat to humans or Earth. Coulson felt he absolutely had to clarify these matters.

"Don't worry, they won't invade Earthlings. Besides, logically speaking, Midgard, which is our Earth, is still Asgard's territory. Many years ago, they even helped Earth drive out invading Frost Giants."

Noah put away the projection and said to Coulson, Asgard had come to Earth many years ago to drive away the Frost Giants, and Odin had even placed the Tesseract, which is the Space Stone, on Earth. It was clear he treated Earth as his backyard, so he wouldn't idly come to Earth to cause trouble, of course, except for a certain Bambi.

"You seem very familiar with their affairs? Did you see it from the future?" Coulson saw Noah's confident demeanor and felt that he seemed to know a lot.

"No, Valoran records many secrets. I just happened to have read about Asgard, so I know a lot." Noah shrugged.

"OK, we can wait now. Let's see when the hammer's Master comes. I heard there's a small town nearby, I'll go there for dinner first." Seeing that Coulson was about to ask more questions, Noah immediately got up, indicating that he didn't want to talk anymore. He didn't want to stay here forever, prolonging the discussion.

"Remember to keep in touch, Noah." Realizing that Noah was getting annoyed by the questions, Coulson also timely ended the impromptu meeting. He and Barton exchanged glances, feeling that they would have a lot to report to Nick Fury. The matters concerning Asgard absolutely had to be reported thoroughly to Nick Fury, as suddenly learning that besides humans, there was also a seemingly powerful Norse race of gods, this matter would keep Nick Fury busy.

However, as Noah turned to leave, Coulson called him back. Noah turned around and found Coulson handing him a small booklet. Noah opened it and found several identification cards inside. The first one was a S.H.I.E.L.D. ID card with his picture on it, and his position was listed as Security Consultant. The subsequent cards were IDs from other U.S. departments and agencies, such as the FBI. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents typically liked to impersonate FBI Agents.

"Coulson, what is this?" Noah looked up at Coulson and asked.

"This was prepared for you by the Director. You can use these when you need them. Of course, you said you don't wish to join S.H.I.E.L.D., so the Director merely listed you as an honorary member on these documents. You are not required to perform any work." Coulson replied.

"Alright, I'll take this then." Noah said. This kind of thing might be useful in the future, and Noah wasn't worried that Nick Fury would use it to trick him. If he dared to do that, what could he do if Noah didn't bother with him?

Walking out of the tent, some passing researchers or S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents secretly looked at Noah with surprised eyes. After all, he seemed to be a character like Iron Man. Among them, a bald Agent wearing glasses had a flash of light in his eyes. Noah looked left and right, then thought for a moment, and returned to the tent to borrow a car from Coulson. He planned to drive over because he felt flying in the battle armor would be too conspicuous.

After opening the car door, Noah stepped in. When he was getting the keys, Coulson asked him if he had a driver's license. Noah was already 16 years old, old enough to take the driving test in America. Noah had already passed the driving test before, but he just hadn't driven a car.

After Noah got into the car, he inserted the key. Although he hadn't driven much, Noah was certainly not flustered. It's just driving a car, wasn't it easy with his talent?

"Bang!" "Ah~ Sorry!"

The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent at the door stared dumbfounded as the black car sped past, then crashed through the camp's iron gate. He was a bit confused, who the hell was driving this car? Did they mistake the brake for the accelerator? He had just been about to open the car door for it.

"What happened?" Coulson, who was in the room, heard the commotion outside, came out to investigate, and then saw the crashed gate. Coulson couldn't help but shake his head.

"Noah?" Lissandra asked.

"Ah haha, I haven't driven much. This is a very normal phenomenon, right? Never mind, Lissandra, you drive." Noah was a bit embarrassed, but there was nothing he could do. He hadn't gotten a driver's license in his previous life, and although he had one in this life, he had only driven a handful of times, so he was a bit rusty.

From the battle armor's belt, a stream of Nano Robots flowed out and permeated the interior of the car. As Lissandra took control of the vehicle, Noah released his hands, leaned back in the seat, and began to enjoy the scenery.

However, New Mexico here looked like a Desert. There was yellow sand everywhere. No, this seemed to be a Desert, right? Noah quickly lost interest after watching for a while. He summoned his system panel; he wanted to see if any missions had appeared on today's mission panel.

[C-rank Mission: XXX]

[C-rank Mission: XXX]

[B-rank Mission: Repel/Destroy King Odin's Destroyer Armor]

"Eh? This mission appeared so quickly?" Noah looked at the B-rank mission on the mission panel in surprise. He hadn't expected this mission to appear today. He thought it would only appear tomorrow, after the Heavenly Palace Four Warriors and the Destroyer Armor sent by Loki came down. He didn't expect it to appear early.

"It seems pretty good? Anyway, there's no mission time limit, so that frees up a mission slot for tomorrow. If I play it right, I might even get another B-rank mission." After a moment of thought, Noah accepted the mission, because the system's missions had no time limit, so accepting it early had no impact, as long as the mission objective wasn't stolen by someone else, like Thor getting the kill first.

Under Lissandra's driving, the vehicle steadily headed towards the distant small town.
