Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 Loki Arrives, Conflict

"I'm no longer the Prince of Asgard. I can't lift Mjolnir, I've lost the right to be Thor, and my father has abandoned me."

Thor said dejectedly, his clothes covered in mud and looking somewhat disheveled from the heavy rain, completely unlike his previous valiant appearance in Asgard. If his companions saw Thor like this, their jaws would surely drop.

Noah looked at Thor in this state, wondering if he should comfort him. "This isn't my job, is it?"

He raised his hand and expanded the magic shield above his head, extending it over Thor. Noah was completely dry in the heavy rain because he had used magic to block the rain before coming out.

"Thor, come in here first. Your friend is waiting for you."

Hearing Noah's words, Thor perked up a little. A friend? He thought of Jane. Jane was just out there in the rain, but Noah just said Jane was waiting for him here?

"Thor!"

Just then, a cry of surprise came from nearby. Thor turned his head and saw Jane running from behind several Agents.

Stepping on the muddy ground, her anxious footsteps splashing water, Jane quickly ran to Thor's side. Seeing Thor in such a state, she thought he was injured. Looking at the girl who cared for him, Thor suddenly felt much better.

"Thor, are you alright?" Jane smoothed the scattered hair from Thor's face and asked with concern.

"Jane, I'm fine, I'm sorry." Thor apologized to Jane. He was sorry that he couldn't let Jane see his most magnificent and handsome appearance, and he also couldn't retrieve the research equipment and data for Jane as he had promised before.

"It's okay, Thor, let's go first. Don't stay out in the rain." Jane pulled Thor up. It's easy to catch a cold staying out in the heavy rain, but as she stood up, she realized something: there didn't seem to be an umbrella where she was standing, but it also seemed like no raindrops were falling?

She looked up and found that no rainwater was falling above her head. All the rainwater seemed to be blocked by a transparent umbrella, and this was only the case above the three of them. In other places, the rainwater fell to the ground as usual.

Jane secretly glanced at Noah. She felt that this strange phenomenon might have been caused by this person. Could this person really be a wizard, as Thor said? No, this is not scientific.

"Come on, both of you, come inside and have some hot water. It's so cold, be careful not to catch a cold." Noah noticed Jane's gaze, but he didn't mind. Instead, he invited the two to sit down. He gestured for an Agent to take them inside.

After Noah finished speaking, he suddenly felt a strange energy fluctuation. Noah smiled, knowing that a new guest had arrived.

After saying thank you, Jane took Thor's arm and followed an Agent to a room. This room was not a workspace; it had no complex equipment. The walls were white, and there were only a few beds, tables, and chairs. This room was temporarily converted by Coulson, the same room where Thor was held in Thor 1.

The heavy rain outside gradually dissipated, but the cold, damp air permeated, making it chilly. Jane curled up all the way into the room, and upon entering, immediately felt much warmer.

Jane and Thor both sat on chairs. At this moment, Thor was still dejected, perhaps due to the immense blow he had just received.

"Thor, wait here. I'll go get you a cup of hot water." Jane saw that Thor's complexion was still not good, so she wanted to go outside and get some hot water. She was worried that he might catch a cold after being out in the rain for so long.

After Jane closed the door, a person suddenly appeared out of thin air in the empty room. Thor looked up and saw that it was his brother, Loki.

"Loki, why are you here?"

"I had to come see you."

Thor noticed that Loki's face was somewhat grim and eagerly asked what had happened. Loki then informed him that their father, Odin, had died, and it was because of the troubles Thor had caused that he had been angered to death. Thor's face immediately turned ashen.

"Now the burden of the throne has fallen upon me."

Loki's words made Thor look up slightly, gazing at him.

"Can I still go back?" Thor asked hopefully.

"No, the condition for the ceasefire with Jotunheim is your permanent banishment, and Mother also doesn't want you to return. I came to say goodbye, I'm sorry, brother."

"I should be the one apologizing. Thank you for coming to see me, brother."

Loki's words plunged Thor completely into despair. The two bid each other farewell, and after Loki turned, a look of successful conspiracy appeared on his face. As a door opened, Loki vanished from the spot.

It was Jane who opened the door. She walked in, carrying two cups of hot water, and placed them in front of Thor.

"Thor, what happened? You look very sad." After sitting down, Jane noticed that Thor's face was even worse than when she left.

"It's nothing, Jane. Let's leave here in a bit." Thor forced a smile, not wanting Jane to worry, and drank the hot water Jane brought him.

"OK, when you feel better, we'll go."

"I'm sorry, Jane, I might not be able to get those devices back for you now." Thor said apologetically. At the time, he thought that once he got his hammer back, he could make S.H.I.E.L.D. return Jane's equipment. He didn't expect that he couldn't even lift the hammer now, and he hadn't fulfilled his promise to Jane, which made him feel somewhat ashamed.

"It's okay, Thor." Jane comforted him. Although she also really wanted to get those things back, now was not the time to think about them.

Just as the two were talking, Loki, who had just vanished, did not leave immediately but came to Mjolnir's side.

Loki gazed at Mjolnir. Loki thought, it was because Thor possessed this artifact that he had been suppressed for so many years. The people worshipped and loved him, which made Loki, who yearned for attention, very envious. If he could lift this hammer, he could gain the same power and adoration as his brother. Loki reached out his hand and gripped the hammer's handle.

However, Mjolnir did not give Loki any face; it remained motionless in the dirt. After several attempts to pull it, Loki realized he couldn't lift it and angrily let go.

"Mjolnir can only be lifted by one who is worthy. It seems you are not worthy."

Just as Loki was about to leave, a voice sounded from behind him.

Loki turned around and found a human staring directly at him, as if able to see him even though he was invisible.

"Mortal, are you speaking to me?" Loki stared at Noah, a dangerous smile on his face.

"Otherwise? Prince of Asgard." Noah walked closer, also coming to the side of the meteor crater. At this moment, the two were separated by the distance of one meteor crater.

"Mind your words, mortal of Midgard. I am now the King of Asgard, and thus, your human king." Loki reached out, revealing a dagger, and said to Noah.

"Humans don't need such feudal things, and I also don't think you're fit to be the King of Asgard. I think your brother is more qualified." Noah said, comparing him to Thor, Noah felt Loki would definitely lose his composure.

Indeed, when Noah said he was inferior to Thor, Loki's face first twisted slightly, then he revealed a sinister smile.

"You will see whether I am worthy or not." With that, a green flash flew out, heading straight for Noah's face.

However, the scene Loki expected did not appear; the dagger he threw was directly caught between Noah's two fingers.

Noah threw it to the ground and taunted Loki:

"Is that all?"

"It seems you are a somewhat capable mortal."

Loki saw Noah easily block his throwing knife and said with a smile. Then, green magic surged in his hand, and with a wave forward, two magic attacks flew out towards Noah.

Noah stretched out his hand, and as Loki's two magic attacks approached Noah, they stopped directly in front of Noah's hand. Then, Noah clenched his palm, and the green magic directly disintegrated and dissipated into the air.

Noah didn't retract his hand. He bent his ring and pinky fingers, straightened his index and middle fingers, and swiped forward. Two wind blades flew out, cutting through the air, and slashing towards Loki.

Loki's expression changed, then his figure blurred, dodging the attack. The wind blades broke through the connecting pipe and flew outwards.

Several Agents watched the wind blades slice past them, then looked at the smoothly cut iron railing, cold sweat dripping from their foreheads. However, they also realized that someone else had invaded. They quickly reported it over the intercom.

After seeing that his surprise throwing knife didn't work, Loki realized that this human was somewhat difficult to deal with. He grinned and said to Noah.

"Not bad, you have some skill, mortal. If you kneel before me now to show respect, then I can mercifully spare you."

Loki spread his arms forward, head tilted back, with an arrogant expression. At the same time, behind Noah, the shadows of the buildings illuminated by the light suddenly began to stretch, forming two figures of Loki, quietly approaching Noah from behind, who was completely unaware.

"Bang!"

A stomping sound rang out. magic surged into the ground, causing the mud and sand behind Noah to fly up, and the two shadows dissipated directly.

"Do you only know these sneaky little tricks? King of Asgard?"

Noah dispelled Loki's magic behind him, then took out a bolt of lightning from his backpack, which was the Electrocution Blade.

Noah raised the Electrocution Blade and pointed it forward. A bolt of lightning shot out from the blade, swift as lightning, giving Loki no time to react. He was directly struck by the lightning, his body sparking with electricity, and he began to tremble.

The electric light only lasted for a short while, being resisted by Loki's physique and magic, though this also had to do with Noah not exerting full power.

"Damn it, you dare to attack me with lightning?!"

Loki recovered, now extremely furious, because he hated lightning the most. This mortal actually made the great King of Asgard suffer such humiliation, it was unforgivable!

Loki's form changed again, then he split into nine, creating nine clones. The now not-so-spacious area became somewhat crowded with the addition of nine Lokis.

"Now what, mortal? How will you cope? Can you tell which is fake? Or are they all real?" Nine Lokis simultaneously pressed in on Noah, then brandished a pair of magical daggers, attacking Noah.

Noah retreated, dodging one of Loki's attacks, then pointed the Electrocution Blade. The Loki struck by lightning immediately disappeared. Then Noah reached out, forming a Guardian Shield (Resolve Rune) on his side, blocking the attacks of two Lokis. Noah realized that these illusions created by Loki could actually attack people. It seemed these weren't illusions, but clones. Loki still had some tricks up his sleeve.

The remaining Lokis simultaneously threw the daggers in their hands at Noah, then reached out and conjured two more daggers, rushing towards Noah.

The daggers imbued with Loki's green magic shot towards Noah at an extremely fast speed. Noah's magic surged, forming gusts of swift wind that enveloped him (Yasuo's Way of the Wanderer), blocking the incoming throwing knives. Then, the swirling winds scattered, turning into harmful sword qi, dispersing all of Loki's clones.

At this moment, the field returned to its original state, with only one Loki standing opposite Noah.

"As a mortal, your strength is indeed good." Loki, standing in place, applauded, praising Noah with a smile.

"As a god, your strength is not…" Before he could finish, Noah reached out and directly seized an arm that was trying to ambush him from behind.

The Loki opposite Noah dissipated, and the real Loki materialized from behind Noah, his face now contorted in a grimace as he strained to break free from Noah's grasp.

"Is this the trick of you, the God of Mischief? It looks like a child's prank." Noah held Loki's hand. From the beginning, Loki had been completely visible to him. His powerful magic could sense Loki's whereabouts. He had just been playing with him.

"Let go, mortal, you are offending a god." Loki struggled, trying to pry Noah's hand open. However, although Loki's Frost Giant bloodline gave him immense physical strength, and it was shown in the movie that he was stronger than Captain America, he couldn't break free from Noah's hand. This was because Noah's strength had also been steadily increasing under the enhancement of the Resolve Rune, and it had now reached a level that Loki couldn't compare to.

"God? What a weak god. Come, taste your favorite electrotherapy." Noah raised his other hand, which held the Electrocution Blade. The dark clouds that had dissipated in the sky gathered again, and thunder roared. This was Noah using the Electrocution Blade and his magic to gather thunderclouds.

Looking at the lightning about to strike from the sky, Loki's face showed an expression of terror. He could feel the danger of the coming lightning; his scalp tingled and his hairs stood on end. At this moment, his body's danger premonition ability had reached its peak, believing that he would be annihilated by this attack.

After violently struggling, and using telekinetic magic and his Frost Giant abilities, he still couldn't break free from Noah's hand. As the lightning was about to strike, Loki directly shouted to the sky:

"Heimdall!!"

Heimdall, far away in Asgard, had been watching this side.

Initially, he was only following Thor's movements, but then he discovered that Loki had actually appeared there. Heimdall couldn't help but wonder, Loki hadn't asked him to activate the Bifrost Bridge to send him to Earth today, so how did he get there? Heimdall suddenly thought of the Frost Giants who, like Loki, had entered Asgard from an unknown place.

However, he didn't have time to think much now, after all, Loki was still openly the King of Asgard, and he couldn't let anything happen to him on Earth.

Heimdall activated the Bifrost Bridge, and a seven-colored beam of light shot out, heading towards Earth.

At this moment, Noah also sensed a powerful force approaching. He released Loki's hand and Arcane Shifted away from the spot.

After Noah dodged, a seven-colored pillar of light descended from the sky, shining on Loki's position. Coulson, leading the newly assembled Agents, arrived late, only seeing the rainbow light pillar descending from the sky and the mysterious imprint left after the light pillar dissipated.

Thor and Jane also heard the loud commotion and came out to investigate.
