The next day, Noah exhaled a long breath, the magic surrounding him dispersed, and Noah put away his runes, ending the all-night training.
"Phew~ It feels great to get stronger every day."
Noah felt the abundant magic in his body and was quite happy; this feeling of growing stronger every day was incredibly refreshing.
"What the hell is going on?"
As soon as Noah finished his training and opened his eyes, he found that the barren Desert around the large stone where he was sitting was now covered in green grass, forming a small oasis centered around the stone.
"Is this the power of the Resolve Rune? The magic, full of life force, made even the Desert grow grass."
Noah speculated that perhaps the magic from the Resolve Rune had diffused while he was cultivating last night, and the surrounding plants absorbed this energy, causing them to grow wildly.
"Not bad, not bad. This is the Resolve Rune. I remember the Resolve Rune can even revive people, right?"
Noah remembered that in Ryze's comics, he mentioned that green runes had the ability to revive people. Those green runes should be the Resolve Runes, right?
"I'll try it if I get a chance in the future."
Noah came back to his senses, glanced at the green patch, and then returned to the S.H.I.E.L.D. camp.
Upon returning to the camp, Noah entered and saw Coulson and others outside, who had cleared a large open space. Noah walked closer and asked:
"Coulson, what are you doing? What are you busy with so early in the morning?"
Coulson looked up and saw that Noah had returned. He replied:
"Noah, we are waiting for the Director. He said he would come here personally and will arrive soon."
As Coulson finished speaking, a black dot appeared in the distance on the horizon. Everyone looked, but it seemed not to be their Director.
As the black dot approached, everyone clearly saw the identity of the newcomer: it was Iron Man Tony Stark. Behind him, a quinjet also deactivated its optical stealth function and appeared before everyone's eyes.
After the quinjet approached, it landed smoothly in the cleared open space that Coulson and the others had prepared. Tony then landed beside it.
It was the familiar hand-jet thrust for deceleration, followed by a Marvel superhero-style landing.
The rear hatch of the quinjet lowered, and Nick Fury and Black Widow emerged from inside. This time, only the two of them came.
Tony opened his face mask, then he and Nick Fury walked over to Coulson.
"Coulson, long time no see."
"Mr. Tony, I must correct you. We just met in your lab a few days ago."
Nick Fury saw that Tony wanted to continue chattering and directly interrupted him before he could.
"Coulson, take us to see that thing."
Nick Fury said, then looked at Noah and nodded. Noah also returned a nod.
Why was Nick Fury here? Perhaps after Coulson told Nick Fury about the situation here yesterday, Nick Fury couldn't hold back? That's right, Noah thought, Nick Fury always likes to get involved in alien matters.
Tony noticed the interaction between Nick Fury and Noah. He was curious about Noah's identity, so he secretly asked Jarvis to look up Noah's information. Although Tony's voice was very low, Noah could, of course, hear it, but he didn't pay too much attention.
The group arrived beside Mjolnir, all seeing it standing in the meteorite crater. Tony and Nick Fury both had complex expressions in their eyes.
Tony's eyes were filled with curiosity. Although he didn't believe in the existence of gods in this World, he was still very curious. Curiosity was the driving force for scientists like him, allowing him to constantly explore new fields of knowledge and improve. Nick Fury, on the other hand, had a heavier, more complex expression. He was quite worried about the emergence of Asgard as a new force.
"This is Thor's hammer?" Tony looked at Mjolnir and asked curiously. Then he wanted to go down for a closer look. Seeing that Coulson and the others did not stop him, Tony also came to Mjolnir's side. At this point, his face mask had already closed.
"Jarvis, scan this hammer."
Tony had Jarvis scan the hammer, but the result was no abnormalities; from the outside, it looked like an ordinary hammer. Tony was a bit surprised, and after a moment's consideration, he reached out and gripped the hammer.
"watt?"
Tony tried to lift it with force, only to find that he couldn't budge the hammer, which greatly shocked him. He was wearing his Iron Man Suit, and his strength was enormous, yet he couldn't lift this hammer. This was too unscientific.
Tony wouldn't give up. Several jet nozzles began to extend from his arm gauntlet, thrusting backward to increase his strength, attempting to pull out the hammer.
Even after Tony's feet created a large pit in the sand beneath him, he still couldn't lift it, so he finally gave up.
"Shit, what the hell is this thing? This is too unscientific. How can this hammer be so heavy? And if it's that heavy, how is that small mound underneath it supporting its weight?"
Tony said, incredulously.
"Because this is Mjolnir. Only those deemed worthy can lift it."
At this moment, Noah spoke up, and Tony again noticed Noah.
"Nick, does S.H.I.E.L.D. also hire child laborers? This young Noah is only 16 years old. He should be in high school now. How did you bring him here?" Tony said. He had just had Jarvis search for Noah's information: Noah Li, 16 years old, attending Mid-City High School. Tony only found Noah's superficial information. He didn't know why Noah was here, but that didn't stop him from opposing Nick Fury bringing a 16-year-old child to such a dangerous place.
"Noah is our security consultant. He's very capable." Nick Fury replied to Tony, crossing his arms.
Tony was about to retort to Nick Fury when a sight in the distance made him stop speaking and drew everyone's gaze in that direction.
A seven-colored light beam descended towards the town.
"Bifrost Bridge? More Asgardians have come?" Coulson looked at the familiar Bifrost Bridge, which had descended again. Who was it this time? Was it Loki again?
"watt, is that what you call the Bifrost Bridge? I'll go check it out first." Tony heard what Coulson said and immediately became interested. He wanted to see what the legendary Asgardians looked like; he had never seen an alien before.
So Tony took off directly from where he stood and flew towards the town.
Nick Fury was somewhat speechless, but he also organized Coulson, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and some Agents to board the quinjet together. Before getting on, Nick Fury also asked Noah if he wanted to fly with them.
Noah shook his head, indicating he would fly himself. Then he pressed his belt, and his armor instantly covered his entire body, and Noah also took off, making Nick Fury shake his head. What's so great about having armor?
After boarding the quinjet, Coulson called the Agent stationed in the town on the walkie-talkie, asking if he had seen any strange people.
"Yes, Officer, I saw Warrior Princess Xena, Jackie Chan, and Robin Hood. Is there a Renaissance festival in this town?"
"Keep an eye on them."
The Three Warriors and Sif had already arrived in the town where Thor was. Because of their vastly different attire, they drew surprised gazes from the town's residents.
Meanwhile, inside Jane's residence in the town, Thor was holding several plates of food, handing them to the others. After a night of heart-to-heart conversation with Jane by the campfire, Thor had changed a lot. Although his appearance hadn't changed, his demeanor seemed much more composed.
Erik came to the living room, holding his head, and sat on a chair. He had a drinking contest with Thor last night and was the first to pass out. He had slept until now, and his head still hurt a bit after waking up. Erik was still recovering when a plate of food was handed to him. Erik took it and thanked Thor.
Last night, while drinking with Thor, he also heard Thor pour out many of his true feelings. His perception of Thor had improved significantly, and he no longer had the thought of driving him away.
After eating, Jane told Erik about the many Asgardian knowledge points Thor had shared with her. Erik expressed that these things would be difficult to convince the scientific community to believe. Before Jane could retort, several knocks came from the door.
The group looked, and Thor saw that his four friends from Asgard had appeared at the door, which greatly surprised and delighted him.
